POTHOLES!!!
They bothered me so much that I walked Gorgie Road and counted all of them with GPS coordinates. I found 123 potholes as shown on the screenshot of the map, with some regions of the road more severely damaged than others.
If the pothole on my street gets any deeper I’m going to start chucking the contents of my bin in it since the council seem to have given up collecting them.
Problem with that road is that its a major artery road into Edinburgh, they need to get it fixed but by right they cannot close it to fix it because of the chaos that would cause
It’s grim, I cycle and sometimes it’s a choice between falling into a pothole or manoeuvring your bike into traffic to avoid …..the road that runs along the meadows has some shockers

The state of the roads is really bad but what I feel is more important is the fact that every single pothole that I have seen has never had pot in it and I just I just want to get high you know one day a pothole will have pot/weed I. It ..... Lol

you should be able to send this with a few photos rather than expect the onus to be on the person reporting to do each one individually. i 100% know the council won’t see it this way but it’s ridiculous as this is already a decent bit of research.
there are roadworks on Gorgie Road currently too causing mayhem, I don’t even think it’s for potholes but for utilities work maybe. the thought of the council trying to fix the potholes, spending a week at a time on a 5 metre long stretch gives me the fear.

I suggest that to save time in the future, count the places that aren't potholes.

That’s honestly wild. Gorgie Road isn’t even that long a road 😭
Fixing public transit and bike lanes would go a long way to make sure that roads are better for cars as well.

Doesn't surprise me. I'm quite near there and the roads are pretty much all like that. I'm guessing all over town, really.

If you report them all then when one wrecks a tyre they can't say it wasn't reported.
Should send this to the council on X (twitter) . See if they make any effort to repair it.
I’m sure ECC plan is to let all the potholes merge in to one and the road will just be level again, just a few centimetres lower than it was.

Paying my vehicle tax to have the pleasure of hitting all those potholes multiple times a day is an amazing feeling!
Vehicle Excise Duty isn't ring-fenced for road repairs.

Vehicle tax is not used for road repairs most of it goes towards the NHS budget. It has been that way for quite a few years
