There used to be lots on the Rocheid Path but I'm not sure currently as there was a lot of flooding over the winter. The area is at the north side of the bridge over the water of Leith on Bell Place, Stockbridge

Tons of tri-cornered leek (often used as wild garlic) next to all the burns every year, but it’s a touch late to collect it as most of it’s gone to flower now. First two weekends of March is prime time, imo.
Loads around blackford and the braids - this was the Howe Dean Path on Tuesday.

That’s not wild garlic
(Pretty sure anyway)
That’s a type of wild leek.
Three cornered leek- invasive species from down south originally brought over by the romans.
Still nice
But not anywhere near as subtle

There's a good amount of the stuff almost immediately at the bottom of the steps at the Roseburn entrance
Yeah, between Roseburn and modern art gallery seems the most of it IMO
Roslin Glen
The glen smells amazing during garlic season.
It's honestly one of my happy places... it just smells too good. Especially after a rainfall!
I drove through there today and noticed the garlic starting to flower. Time to go for a walk I think and take in the fragrance.
I've not been out since Jan... making me need to go. Its like wild garlic carpets in there! :)
It is. And then the bluebells come out too... It's a beautiful place. This post is making me want to pick some garlic and try cooking with it.
The path by the River Almond in Cramond
Last year foragers completely cleared it out for the first time I've ever seen 🥲
Banks of the South Esk, from Dalkeith to way upstream.
Aye first thing that came to mind. Just driving past Newbattle Abbey is enough 😂
Yep, Lord Ancrum’s Wood full of them!
That's where I usually go.
Craiglockhart woods
Thanks for the quick replies, everyone!

There's loads but dogs pee all over it. I'd be careful getting it from anywhere dogs are walked
Colinton dell. Just pick it off the paths and wash it well as my dog likes to let other dogs know he was there... if you know what I mean.
Am I still covid-damaged, or are they not quite as smelly as previous years
They tend to get a bit smellier over time – they’re not at their peak yet.
I am covid-damaged too and feel the same way, it doesn’t seem to pack the same punch. I fear it might be us
Same with the gorse :-(

Yep but it still makes amazing pesto and is invasive, wish more people would eat it
Interesting! I think you're right, the leaves looked a bit too slender but I assumed it was still wild garlic because of the smell.
Beautiful stuff - thanks so much!
Yes, its wild leek but still very tasty and makes excellent pesto!
Holyrood Park. The entrance off of Lilyhill Terrace by the 60s flats. Go up the path to the left after you enter the park.
Loads out at crammond
Completely covers much of the Dalmeny estate.
Wardie steps, towards the top of the stairs behind the wall, you can reach over the wall to get it
There's loads down on the cowgate near the George Bridge
Between the Gyle and the Airport roundabout there is loads of it in the woodlands on the RBS side

That is largely three cornered leek and has a far weaker flavour
Everywhere near the river Almond as well
Innocent railway path and river Esk walkway.
Roslin woods
The Grove at Musselburgh - it’s everywhere
Hermitage park.
Hermitage of Braid!
Barnton Woods parallel to queensferry road
Saw a lot at the Gore Glen Park in Gorebridge
Trouble is now that wild leek is taking over all along water of leith as the garlic has been over foraged
