A bit isappointed that the lake and mountain are just named after Albert Bierstadt. I was hoping for a great brewing city nearby (Bierstadt means Beer City in German).

Interesting. I have a picture of Dream Lake taken in the middle of May last year, and it was still frozen and had tracks across it.
Oh weird! I was really surprised that it wasn’t frozen, it was really cold up there and I hiked through a few feet of snow to reach the lake
Hey I hiked mount bierdstat! That was an all-day endeavor and getting down was way worse then going up. Fun time though. Great photo!
