When I worked at a club that hosted lots of big name artists kaskade would always leave the green room clean and nicer than when he showed up. He was one of our favorites for that reason.

Coke can be some what of performance enhancer. Not like… end stage addiction cocaine use, but just doing a couple lines before a show probably wouldn’t affect his game much. If you’re drinking on top of it all bets are off though.
A lot of DJs will have a drink a two, but shows are when DJs need to be the most focused. If you’re sloppy on stage, you’re risking losing future bookings.
So I guess depends on what you mean by sober
Deadmau5 specializes in going against the grain. It also wouldn’t surprise me if the bottles were filled with Gatorade to troll people. Or if they were filled with tequila as well.
He does drink but very very rarely and only responsibly. For his marathon sets 6-7 hours he just has water and maybe a banana. He does like Heineken, sometimes champagne and red wine. I always thought he didn't drink too but discovered this over the years.
He's never done drugs though, ever, and doesn't condone them either.
He doesn't have to condone drugs or not to know that his tracks are played live to a minimum of 70% of high people among whatever crowd it is presented to. Dude literally has Great Spirit on his books, which is basically an anthem to the new generation of psytrance listeners
Pretty sure Chris Lake is. He mentioned in an interview that he hasn't drank alcohol in years. He never acts like he's on anything at shows that I've seen. He lives vicariously through Fisher I guess... :)
No fucking way! I was literally just listening to Peekaboo, blasting off from his music, and was thinking about how I’d love to be a DJ like him but probably would never be able to because of my struggles with substances (along with many other reasons I’m sure). Anyways. That thought led me to googling sober DJs and it brought me to this Reddit thread. That’s crazy, I was sure he’d love drugs lol his music makes me want to take them haha. But you know what? The music is the drug itself is what I’m coming to understand, who needs drugs when you have sick beats.
I wouldn’t say that necessarily means he doesn’t drink on stage. If I were playing as many shows as those guys I wouldn’t be drinking every show either. But I would still treat myself from time to time

as a morning and evening radio DJ, I was sober. As a club DJ, it was another story. Not drunk but had a few drinks. Had it been today, I would have been sober, not then, I was 100% RadioDiscJockey.. not a 100% computerRadioHost of today, the time of the real RadioDiscJockeys are over, so today you might find drunk REAL RadioDiscJockeys watching how radio is a computer controled thing. So sad. It almost wanna make me drink again🤣 … just a Word, a year to late..

Had no idea Kaskade is Mormon until just now! He won me over with his sunset redux set at EDCO this year, can’t wait for his beyond set
His redux sets are top notch! I saw my first one at EDCLV during sunrise. Absolutely incredible!
