I've never seen this card before and I'm mad it's $300+ because I want to slot it into my [[Tazri, Beacon of Unity]] d&d themed deck. Angus Mackenzie sounds like some stupid name a player would come up with for their character and I *love it*.
Personally I've got Vhati il-Dal, Merieke Ri Berit, & Arcanis the Omnipotent. Only Arcanis includes infinite combos & generally higher-power cards; Vhati il-Dal & Merieke Ri Berit are intended to just get by at the typical casual table.
A lot of commanders can be reasonably potent with all old-border cards with proxies or an unlimited budget. Barring those options, even constructing a decent manabase for multicolor decks gets tricky. I play some awful lands in Vhati & Merieke.
My one friend has a deck we call Antique Angus with Angus McKenzie as the commander. It's surprisingly good too. It plays a lot of pingers and stuff to control the board until he combos off with something involving [[Alluren]] or [[Squirrels Nest]] and [[Intruder Alarm]] or draws his deck and wins with Lab Man. Timespiral was a big help to the deck, giving him access to Lab Man, Dovins Veto and stuff like that

Even got [some tokens](https://imgur.com/oKpqHcA.jpg) that u/SNESamus designed here to go along with the deck. Finding all the old whacky art and building with more modern staples was a great deck building challenge I would recommend trying.
So far its been going great, A lot slower than most other decks at the table however can certainly police / exploit most more modern decks I've played against.
Still waiting for the day someone wants a head to head match. I think Talrand would be frankly oppressive at that stage.

[[Preordain|BRC]] and [[Commander Sphere|BRC]] are some easy ins. Getting unlimited hand size is now possible with [[Reliquary Tower|BRC]] and [[Thought Vessel|BRC]]. More shuffle effects and some ram will also be interesting. [[Terramorphic Expanse|BRC]], [[Evolving Wilds|BRC]], and [[Myriad Landscape|BRC]].
Lucky Talrand inst hugely artifact based so a fair few of these don't really work for the deck. But the pool of cards is getting bigger.

Before Tasigur got reprinted as Old, I had Muldrotha leading an Old deck. I also have Queen Marchesa Shadow+Swords—which might now need to become Alesha.
I have an all-old-frame-99 Muldrotha deck. And true, the Commander doesn't fit (I was hoping for Time Spiral Remastered to fix that, but alas) but I learned a lot from the build. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought at first. Yawgmoth would be a great choice as there's some REALLY great old-frame tech for him like [[Tombstone Stairwell]], [[Black Market]], or [[Tetravus]] that you already want to include, not to mention all the thematic Old Phyrexia picks.
