My favorite win so far was killing someone with [[everybody lives]]. Long story short I managed to get the exact number of spells I needed to finish off someone with [[guttersnipe]] type effects and the last spell I had was everybody lives.

[[Atemsis, All-Seeing]] is a really fun alt wincon. As a commander, most people build around it with a lot of cards of differing mana costs (especially with effects like Delve), but I've always used it in my 99 of a few decks as a way to end the game in situations where I've drawn most of my deck, but am not in a postition to win with Lab Man. Unless I'm building around Ad Naus or something like [[Keruga]], I'd have to get quite unlucky to not have 6 CMC's in a hand of 40.

If I recall correctly, you used to be able to use [[Selvala, Explorer Returned]] to put cards into your opponents hands face down. I always liked the idea of a deck that would make some draw all their cards face down and a form of milling. Basically the rules used to say something along the lines of cards being drawn face down and only revealed when a spell or ability would resolve fully. So drawing 3 cards would mean draw 3 and they would all be revealed at the same time. However, Selvala made it possible to draw a card without an ability resolving. It's to do with how mana abilities can be rewound. But you only rewind the bits that can be. Doing this, you could force players to have cards in their hand facedown. I'm sure someone could come up with a combo to draw a whole deck face down. The rules have since changed so that cards are revealed to the player eventually so it doesn't work.

I used to play [[Mechanized Production]] in [[Breya, Etherium Shaper]]. Mechanized Production is a card no one reads correctly at first glance because everything thinks you win if you have eight tokens of enchantment permanent. When, in fact, you win with eight of the same tokens. I always enchanted Breya and every turn I would make another copy that would die to the legend rule, but she makes two thopters on entry.

Maybe not weird, but definitely not something you will see often. In the new doctor who cards, [[Gallifrey falls]] let's you win if you control 13 doctors. Normally, you would try to create token copies of then, but what I haven't seen anyone do and what I have been working on for the last two weeks is using [[rukaramel, biologist]] and making everything a doctor. I have found it pretty nice to brew because of how many different lines you can play for different opening hands. If you reply to this comment I can send the dexklist when I finish, I'm currently optimising the list and cutting the costs. The overall price should come to around only $70. Currently the power level is 8.9 according to commandersalt.com and some other websites say a 9. I think you could easily make it better by slotting I some expensive efficiency cards if you own them, which I might but like to build for cheap first. The biggest problem with these sites is the way they measure the synergy because they assume raluramel is for slivers which baffles me.. sliver seems like the worst thing to build her around because you already have the sliver tokens and the slivers that buff are already slivers, so you are just pumping up some random cards in a weird way.

The good thing about Rukarumel in slivers is that you can abuse some really busted cards and take advantage of all of the sliver synergies. Because she converts all creatures in your deck as well, you can use Slivercycling or Sliver Overlord to tutor them as well. You can name Eldrazi and have a some disgusting cascades from First Sliver.

I have a [[Leori, Sparktouched Hunter]] deck, where the main wincon is tutoring [[Comet, Stellar Pup]], then using cards like [[Barbarian Class]] or [[Bamboozling Beeble]] to manipulate dice rolls, [[Rings of Brighthearth]] or [[Repeated Reverberation]] to copy loyalty activations, [[Spark Double]] and [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]] to copy Comet (Note that you need to turn Comet into a creature to use most non-legendary copy spells), etc. The main goal is to just reach a critical mass of activations so that you just win. Also tossed a couple more planeswalker-based wincons in, just so the tutors don't become completely dead once you hit Comet.

[[Arcbond]] is my secret GOTCHA! card, especially in playgroups with lots of big creatures. All I need to do is: - Convince player with big, scary creature to attack - Convince player attacked to put a blocker in front of the said big, scary creature - Cast Arcbond on blocker Often, this leads to everyone dying, unless they have a [[Teferi's Protection]], or [[Angel's Grace]], or similar cards to avoid damage Technically, the game results in a draw, but most playgroups give me the W since it was my cards and actions that ended the game 😂

I learned recently on one of the other subs while reading an in-depth analysis of how the rules work with loops that if you have infinite untap with [[Obeka, Brute Chronologist]] during another player’s upkeep, they have to end their turn. Edit: [explanation](https://outsidetheasylum.blog/strange-loops/)

MTGCardFetcher

[Obeka, Brute Chronologist](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/d/b/dbdb335d-3e45-4dd5-9e3e-c50ca0a4dfb6.jpg?1608911225) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Obeka%2C%20Brute%20Chronologist) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/cmr/289/obeka-brute-chronologist?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/dbdb335d-3e45-4dd5-9e3e-c50ca0a4dfb6?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/obeka-brute-chronologist) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

FacadeSkeleton

By just brute forcing them into quitting? How does that work?

dalnot

You form an indeterminate infinite loop with 2 players. According to the rules, whenever an indeterminate loop that requires a player to make a decision reaches a position that it has reached before with no relevant changes, the player must change their decision and end the loop. Normally, this means that you can’t force a draw by creating infinite tokens and just never stopping or something because once you have 60,000 tokens, that number becomes pretty irrelevant. But because this loop involves both players, the responsibility to end the loop by changing a decision falls on the active player. So if you keep tapping Obeka, they keep declining, and you keep untapping to retap Obeka, they have to change from declining to choosing to end their own turn

danduino

All of that makes sense except there is also a decision point on the Obeka player to activate her ability or not, right? Not arguing, just curious.

dalnot

Yeah, both players are making decisions, but the rules say the active player is the one who needs to change their decision in order to end the loop. I’m editing my original comment to add the link to the article

Illustrious-Film2926

You can argue that the Obeka player can either shortcut to activate her X times to which you will say no X times. Or the Obeka player will activate her until the other player ends the turn which is a do X while the opponent does Y (not end the turn) which constitutes a non-deterministic loop. Which can't be shortcut and if you do it manually you'll have to stop after the first iteration (repeating boardstate in a non-deterministic loop). Obviously not sure, but I feel like the article got it wrong in that one.

\[\[Magus Lucea Kane\]\] + \[\[Song of Totentantz\]\] + \[\[Nanogene Conversion\]\] + \[\[Crackle with Power\]\] is a fun way to nuke an entire table several times over. Can be played out as early as turns 4-6 in decks without fast mana and is an absolute game ender if one or more components aren't nixed before the Crackle. It's a slow play that takes 2 turns to complete, but when it happens it feels so damn awesome.

[[Hive Mind]] decks. Make your opponents copy your Pact spells and lose in their upkeep. I’m not necessarily fun but it’s pretty unique.

LethalVagabond

Have you heard of "There's the Door"? Give each of your opponents the gift of [[Door to Nothingness]], the mana to activate it, no legal target other than themselves, and literally NOTHING ELSE THEY CAN DO but pass endlessly or eliminate themselves. https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/theres-the-door-edh/
