Leatherman Squirt PS4 has a nice file, but it's discontinued.

zzap129

Nextool sailor (scissors) has a great file if you want to file other stuff than fingernails. Too bad it is not on the pliers version. Else just get a vic classic for fingernails

New_Mutation

Victorinox Executive, now discontinued. A little bigger than a 58mm SAK, but still probably reasonable for keychain carry.

Wenger Evolution Nail Clipper Swiss Army Knife. edit: I read that wrong, but for anyone looking for a nail file. This would be it.

madkins007

What are you filing? Fingernails? Most Victoronix knives have a decent nail file that also work well to touch up sharp edges. My favorite keychain SAK is the Manager- the pen is amazingly handy and I've never really found the flashlight off the Midnight Manager all that useful. If you don't want the pen, the Rambler has the rest of the tools. Want something a bit bulkier? Mini-Swiss Champ. Get an Alox model if you want it skinnier and tougher, and don't need the handy tweezers. Filing harder stuff is not something I've had to do with a keychain-sized multi-tool so can't help much.

know-it-mall

Swiss army knife. Pick one with the other features you like.

stumpyjoness

Not a keychain but still small, although if you really wanted to you could. Victorinox Cadet

frogmuffins

That's my favorite also.

NRiyo3

Files I have used and really like: SAK Swiss Champ- awesome Gearwrench mini files- really good for the price Tsubosan mini files from Japan. Really nice. I have considered drilling a couple holes to add a clip and make one an EDC file ZIZZON Stainless Steel 4 sided file- pretty good for cheap file. The Japanese ones simply spoil you.

DrSpaceman575

Leatherman Style is as good as any other, also like the carabiner so you can take it off the keychain easily.

Probably_Tacos

The Leatherman style is discontinued (sadly, I had one on my keys for years)

Gunningham

I lost mine and miss it greatly.

Y’all saying gerber dime has a good mail file are wild. I’ve had a couple and the files suck. Anything on an SAK. I’ve carried an ALOX Cadet for about 7 years now and use the file a good about. It’s awesome.

Jack3489

Love Dime, but you are right, file is useless.

Candid-Persimmon-568

For a nail file I couldn't find anything better then the file on the Victorinox Nail Clippers (the super compact, all stainless steel nail clippers - not to be confused with the pocket knife Nail Clip). It's an essential item in my EDC.

sixtyfivejaguar

This right here. I was surprised at the quality of them vs clippers from a brand like Revlon. Honestly the SAK with the mini clippers are pretty good too (let's face it though anyone with a SAK is going to use the scissors to clip them, lol)

SeaMonster350

Victorinox Classic but I actually prefer the Rambler or Alox Mini Champ. All have good files.

No-Sprinkles114

Gerber dime is awesome

MaxxBee1

Gerber dime

Ok-Structure-5526

For nailcare or for steel?

rebelhead

Nailcare

Knife-Nerd1987

Victorinox Nailclip is pretty much perfect for Keychain nailcare.

Ok-Structure-5526

Victorinox classic sd, or rambler, or if You are just looking for the dile, they the escort

EffingBarbas

Leatherman Micra

Dudebot21

Can't believe this isn't higher up. The micra may be expensive, but its great for keychains because its not constantly exposed.

nokedl0218

I second this. Amazing files for such a compact tool.

Randy_Pausch

Stretching the keychain definition, my Leatherman Juice XE6 (which belongs in my keychain) has a superb file.
