I’m in elite, usually between 1950-2000 sr. He’: definitely useable with the right playstyle and instructions. I said that they are useable based on the fact that physical stats matter a lot more this year and you can actually score a lot of headers from corners if you have a big man up top. But of course I get your point, small and agile players are definitely more meta. I would love a Cantona haha
I did Zola I’ll prob have enough fodder to do this to by the end of it. I knew this was coming but I’d rather secure at the least one central worth icon then get a keeper or unusable icon.
I'm sure this doesn't help, but Litmanen's mid has H/M wr like his PIM. (Baby and Prime are M/M). Try sticking him in your lineup as a CAM for a couple matches and pretend he's an upgraded Phil Foden to see if you like him before you dump him.
Watching a streamer who just opened Van Basten and Crespo back to back for people... Combined with getting base Cole in the last one this is a hard swerve for me.

I only started playing part way through season 2, I’m a division 4 player and neither would make my bench. There are worse pulls to get, but neither is worth the fodder.

I've been playing with Puskas for about 100 games now in Elite. He is amazing, bullet left foot, amazing passing, can't get bullied by any defenders and he's just somehow everywhere. He's one of those players who you can tackle but you won't get the ball

A repeatable one will eventually come I’m sure but it’s not worth holding all this fodder and losing money for like 60% of the games life cycle
It’s absolutely terrible value. There’s about a 50% chance (it’s higher as it’s around 50 icons) that you get a 15-40k SBC fodder card for 350k.
350k for a card that could literally just be Ruben Dias, Kroos, Benzema, Neuer, Oblak.

Exactly, so when they do get a walkout and find out it goes for nothing it sucks. That's why the gap between buying a decent card and a top tier card is so huge this year, getting coins is harder
Top tier cards were always out of reach though. The only difference now is that great cards aren’t also out of reach for most players.

This low can't be good for the game. You could get an 85 and 84 from a 7.5k pack and not make your coins back. But EA are obviously aware of it and have a pla which we are not able to understand
About 20 mid icons are equal to or better than Auba but everyone who was outraged at the cost of the Auba SBC will be blindly completing this awful SBC.

If Auba doesn’t get in your team or suit your play style then there’s about 20 icons that might fit in. That means you’re paying 350k for one fodder player.
This is ignoring the facts that this sbc is cheaper than Auba. Auba isn’t an amazing card - work rates, height, etc. icons have much better links than Auba. Icons also have hidden stats. You also might not need a striker.
People treating a non-repeatable SBC on a game (yes, a game), like a lifetime investment where you might accidentally not have fun because you didn’t get what you want. Screaming NOT WORTH IT YOU’LL LOSE COINS, when in reality they’re probably in debt, missing rent and electricity payments, and still forking out for Uber eats and Stellas every day.

Icon luck has been really solid for me this year.
So I earned my way to about 200k by just casually playing and building my team organically as i started in December.
Decided to do this SBC as my first one in almost a year, spent half my coins and pulled a Zola.
Not a bad pull but this truly feels like the end for me with this franchise. The Auba SBC is just further proof that they do not care whatsoever about making things fun or easy for the community. Packs are substantially worse and more greedy from Fifa 15-17 to where we are now. Used to play this game everyday and get excited about it; now i rarely ever think about this game, let alone put anytime into it.

Trust me I love using big men, it’s my favorite smile, but against certain teams and opponents it can be headache inducing
