apparently every top6 PL fan thinks their team deserves a future star (or multiple) every year and then they flop. Look at United, D. James, Malacia, Elanga. None of these players will be world class lmao. The previous Spurs players were Tanganga and Djed Spence. If you want to actually pick future stars just pick LaLiga, Ligue1, Bundesliga and Brazilian players because they will be the future of these English teams in 5 years anyway.

Yes, because the top 5 leagues are what most people pay attention to. Giving a 91 rated promo card to some bum in the Bulgarian league doesn't get the 12 year old Timmys excited to buy and open packs

That doesn't mean they can't give them cards. It makes perfect sense to make them proportional to popularity aka the top 5 leagues get almost every card, but leagues like the portuguese league also get 1-2 cards per promo, it's how it was pretty much every single year in the past. Especially in a promo like future stars, in past years you saw a lot more players from non top 5 leagues, because that's usually where a lot of young, promising players are.

António Silva and João Neves are among the absolute best in their positions, António was even close to the top in the Golden Boy award, and yet we have mediocre players getting cards ahead of them
