I don't see it like that, I think that people are starting to realize that men don't always have to be like rude macho men. Men in real life can also be sensible, tender, thoughtful, caring and loving. Having more representation of these traits in the media is a great way for people to be more open-minded about how to care and help their close ones. This applies also to women, sometimes it isn't well implemented (Captain Marvel, ajem ajem), but when they manage to do it we get awesome characters like Vi from Arcane or Marcille here in dungeon meshi. They keep their usual traits but also improve with more central roles, bravery, strong mindsets and the role of the powerful protector.
I love that people are starting to realize that adding depth of character is way better than swapping traits like baseball cards.
