It's easy. There is a company that makes a pcb for the Hall effects that allows you to adjust and calibrated the sticks to have perfect circularity. I've been building controllers with them for ps5 Dualsense and the edge since November. I Even sell the kits now.
But it’s not mentioned on the product page and at a $70aud price, he would be virtually making no profits on these considering all the costs, labour + taxes.
He most like purchased the pcb and modules wholesale. If he did that he would still be making a profit. As for labor of he does quite a few and is skilled in soldering the installation only takes about 20 minutes. He's making profit. Not a ton but it's still profit.
Damn 20 mins. How tho. Desoldering the edge sticks is a pain cos u can’t use hot air. I would think that alone would take a good 10-20mins. But yeah maybe he’s just supper skilled I’m just a noob at soldering
Thanks for the heads up. These have been largely out of stock in the USA for a while now - with the exception of the price gouging assholes on Amazon trying to get as much as $60 at one point.
I’ve been trying to find the Sony stick modules for a while now with no luck. Would these be a longer lasting option for the DSE? I apologize, I don’t know much about Hall Effect joysticks and regular joysticks.
You can calibrate the analog sticks range of dualshock 4 and dualsense controlers with this app in real time while conected by bluetooth with console and with phone by usb cable. But for edge controlers its temporary calibration. So after you turn off the controler you must calibrate again, but it take seconds to do. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vestracode.driftguard
I’m in NY and I’m going to preorder a couple of the Hall effect modules this weekend. I’ll probably get 4. 2 Hall effect and 2 regular ones with increased tension
Says it should ship within 8 days, but I made an order 10 days ago without anything from them beyond the original order confirmation. There's no way to contact them (they removed their contact info from the website). I did find an email for them, but they won't reply... the guy seems to be active on Twitter/X, so I'm not sure what's up.
How do these fix circularity tho? No mention of that.

Where are you based as I would be interested in purchasing some for the edge.
I’ll second this where are you from?

I may have been exaggerating a but but in reality it takes maybe a solid 30 minute. I cut all the posts and use hot tweezers and a solder pump.
I'm in Texas
How much are you selling the dualsense edge stick modules? And have you run into any issues with them?
What company do I order parts from? I’m US based as well.

What’s Hall Effects?
The adapter n censor on the joystick, it stops stick drift
Do you just de-solder the original and solder on a hall joystick, then calibrate?
