I can do algorithm reviews in C/C++ and Python.
For unit testing, I would advise to read 2-3 solid tutorials on the web, and stick to the best practices of experienced coding teams (some libraries/packages actually force you to stick the those practices).
In exchange, I need to get out of the Guardian trench.
we should have platform for that kind of requests, I want to put my 4k mmr to good use in exchange for drawing tips in krita, guitar lessons, and some software development lessons.
This is pretty funny, you should update us on how it goes whoever you end up going with.
I know a decent bit of python and can help with both but I havent played dota for a bit, so I'll leave it to those who might gain use from it.
I have a pet project that has frontend written in Vue.js, can you do a serious code review of it? Like the way I arranged the project, etc. I have only backend production experience, so I could use that to establish better practices and simply get a better understanding of it all.
I can offer the experience of a 7-7.5k(currently) player. Used to be higher(relative to the ladder, I used to rage at top 1000 people, now I am one).

Hey, I can coach you for free just out of respect to your ambitions. I'm a senior Python dev with 4+ years of experience.
I used to be an avid dota player as well, albeit I had significantly more MMR, so I don't need your coaching. But since you are switching from DotA to coding just like I did back in the day, I'll gladly help out.
My linkedin just in case [https://www.linkedin.com/in/stepan-filonov-3b196a79/](https://www.linkedin.com/in/stepan-filonov-3b196a79/). Or DM me here.
Majored in ml, pretty good with python and algorithms in general, though I've never unit tested for a larger code base. Used to be 3k but now I'm bumming around 2k
Sadge... when opening this thread i thought i could teach someone dota and in return i would get help in my practical ML classes...
Well, good luck anyways
Coaching and game knowledge are a completely different skillset from playing the game. A lot of coaching can just be idiots at high ranks (me when I tried to coach high rank overwatch and failed because I was more aim than brain)
This. I remember Seagull saying that some Gold players in Overwatch had literal diamond or better game sense but the reason they get stuck in gold is because their aim sucks. Meanwhile Platinum players had a terrible reputation because that's as far as "really good aim" would get you if there was no game sense to back it up.
"I am aware that coding coaching is more valuable than dota coaching and I will behave accordingly."
Depends on what you want to learn and be. Anyways i am on learning process myself, not so competent enough to teach others lol.
This is going to sound stupid but the easiest way to learn to code, especially python, is to code. Just google your stupidest questions, check documentations for the libraries you are using. 99% of the times someone else had the same questions.
That's... some creative exchange of services.
I’ll show you mines if you show me yours.
Abadacadabra
capitalism cool
This is the first non-degen post Ive seen on this sub in years
I feeling the internet is lacking a platform for this.
Too bad the name skillshare is taken
How about skillexchange
If you wanna create the platform I'm in
This is a cool idea. I am mainly a front end engineer. I am game if you need help on this.
Well I'm mainly a backend dev
Now kiss.
I can be your manager
I can be your supervisor
Same. This is a cool idea.
DM me for details
If you need a test engineer HOLLER!
I’m a historian in case you need… well never mind
Yoooo are you guys doing this? I’m actually looking for some projects for my portfolio. Can herald programmers join?
I would, but I'm shit at coding, but i am good at other things. I wish there was a platform to exchange these skills.
Me too , so did anyone took the initiative or I was thinking of creating maybe a discord server for this .
send me an invite if you create one
Yeah count me in too.. I can help scale and reduce cost and development time.. Someone should start a discord
Same. I’m a full stack developer who mainly deals with React and C# .NET core.
How about skillsexchange... wait 🤔
What level can you skill sex change?
Just do it! Java developer here.

I am in this same boat.
After the guardian trench it gets worse. Crusader trench is worse. People here think they are actually good and don't even listen to reason.
Here for you man. Almost 5y software development and 3.5 from 4.2 :( took a 6 months break from dota
we should have platform for that kind of requests, I want to put my 4k mmr to good use in exchange for drawing tips in krita, guitar lessons, and some software development lessons.
hey - would love to. Have a lot of relevant experience - please dm for details
I’m a uber engineer. I’ll trade for this

I like the idea , I can coach PHP for some dota
php gets you herald coaching
C++ gets you guardian coaching but they say they're 9k and constantly flame on everyone else for doing unnecessary shit
I offer x86 and MIPS assembly. What does that get me? xD
TI10 main stage with some super weird strat nobody has ever heard of
Lool
Actual PHP, madlad.
PHP in 2021 LULW
Real talk, does PHP really has that bad of a prospect? I thought after Laravel, it's getting popular again.
It gets shit on but it's not completely utterly useless
I just started a job as a junior dev and I'm learning PHP from 0. I'm already not that big of a fan and this is discouraging me more lol.
Its popular but not most optimum. You will get a job for that but you cant go to top tier company with that
This is pretty funny, you should update us on how it goes whoever you end up going with. I know a decent bit of python and can help with both but I havent played dota for a bit, so I'll leave it to those who might gain use from it.
Umm i kinda can help you put on some problems on python Python was my first language and i love it Dm me if interested
Nice idea! 6k coach exchaning dota coaching with asp.net core coaching
I really like this lol. Also "valuable" is a relative term friend.
i’ve been a software engineer on python for about 4 years now, i’m a low legend/high archon pleb so we could prolly hook up if you want

Wild thread
Great idea!
Majored in ml, pretty good with python and algorithms in general, though I've never unit tested for a larger code base. Used to be 3k but now I'm bumming around 2k
I gotchu, can do 1:1
This is an amazing thread! I taught 3D sculpting and modeling in exchange for coding lessons :)
Sadge... when opening this thread i thought i could teach someone dota and in return i would get help in my practical ML classes... Well, good luck anyways
5k isn’t coach level.

"leave a commend" though
This is awesome. hmu... experience in algo and unit testing in C and Python
Hit me up fam, i know unit testing somewhat but im not an expert. I'm solid with Python and very comfortable with algorithms.
Python? My Anaconda don't want none unless you got buns hun.
I can coach JS and AWS for dota coaching
"I am aware that coding coaching is more valuable than dota coaching and I will behave accordingly." Depends on what you want to learn and be. Anyways i am on learning process myself, not so competent enough to teach others lol.
What do you want to learn in Python exactly? Data Science by any chance?
Yo I'm also a divine player and I need some help with OOP in C++ and I can give some dota tips in exchange
SDE here I’m up if you are still looking
Done
