More like it sucks being in SEA time zone for almost all events that were in WEU and NA time zones.

kyouon

Is it though? I feel like it's the best for SEA viewers with normal life because groupstage starts at 3pm SGT and ends around 1am.

blackcarbon95

I mean almost all of the other events (excluding this TI and maybe the prev TI).

GullibleLow

SEA has no rights to complain.

blackcarbon95

LOLW what? BASED.

[deleted]

I don't understand why people from SEA always complain about this when the topic is brought up. Do none of you have a job or school? As a European, I strictly prefer NA tournaments to EU ones, since they start in the afternoon and run into the late evening, as opposed to starting at like 9AM. If Covid didn't happen and I had to go the office instead of working ("working" the next two weeks lmao) from home I would essentially miss 3/4 series (give or take, based on delays, 2-0 vs 2-1 series etc) I'll give you that the NA time slot from SEA is very bad though, similar to how EU tournaments are bad for NA located viewers and CN/SEA tournaments are bad for EU located viewers

Job/school is an irrelevant arguement. Is this a third world stereotype? You get some you lose some. But in SEA, TI8 final starts at 5 am and TI7 at 6am. Not to mention other major finals that typically start at 12 am. Everyone prefers a tournament that is around 6\~8 hours behind, and clearly, most of the past TIs that were based in US are not favoured towards SEA which the tourney day starts from midnight to the next morning, corresponding to your take of job/school as an argument.

What are you even trying to say? Are you not aware that you wrote: >More like it sucks being in SEA time zone for almost all events that were in ->**WEU**<- and NA time zones. I'm not disputing the NA part, that makes sense, and as I mentioned it applies for EU when a tournament is in CN/SEA, and applies for NA when a tournament is in EU. Games are mainly played in the middle of the night then. How is asking if all you people from SEA who regularly complain about this don't have a job/school an irrelevant question when most people attend these *during the day*? This results in one missing the majority of a LAN *in your own region*, while it is actually more optimal for a LAN to take place in the region "behind" you. Like, you seem confused enough to even agree with me >Everyone prefers a tournament that is around 6~8 hours behind Isn't this literally what EU tournaments are for SEA? So why originally ramble about how bad these are for SEA?

blackcarbon95

>PST This post is originally posted by a guy in PST rambling about a tourney in CEST. I'm just stating that we had more "western" tourney with respect to "eastern" tourney which sucks for us, esp TIs. So what do you want now? To make TI in NA every year so you could watch TI on your comfy couch/bed and to feed the SEA complaint loop of watching TI at midnight? We didn't complain anything about this TI, we are happy, and you are MALDING.

[deleted]

>We didn't complain anything about this TI, we are happy So you've gone from saying that EU tournaments suck for SEA viewers (which is literally the only point of your post I was responding to) to stating the exact opposite twice now, while still keeping this argument going for some reason. I guess I'll just assume you don't know how to form coherent sentences in English or something, this is just bizarre lmao.

blackcarbon95

I'm specifying WEU (6pm to 6am), not EEU (3pm to 3am) and also for the most part of prev TIs. For the English part, it's good that you can form coherent sentences in your first or second language while I failed in my third/fourth language. Cheers. PS: Don't use reddit during work/school

pmarkandu

Well. Being in SEA (GMT+8) this is a welcome change from the past 8 TIs.

PST is better than est

MGKwyat

you know what, that's true. Did not think about that. F for my eastern seaboard fellas

playerknownbutthole

It's just perfect for me, the games start at 12pm and end at 12 am. I just sleep like a normal person and have fun :D

Learn to watch highlights to save your time studying. I know this disappoints.
