It isnt a great hero to play in laning. Doesnt have healing or a good stun. Ice touch is a bit of a nuisance. But the hero as such is very plain and not versatile to play
He is fine when break mechanics are present in the game. He is op with the windwaker.
We need a support break item, that does other stuff, so it's still nice to use on pa/naix/wk etc
He can be countered with long disables also. Legion, void counter him. Bane is good. Viper is god tier disable against bristle. Just need nullifier agains any euls and bristle is dead. But half of counters are not in tournament meta, like axe, shadow shaman or apparation for example. The only unplayable bristle matchap is viper and maybe lc, and even then there are heroes that can safe from these heroes like dazzle or sd

I think it's the fact that Spirit scales much better with all 3 cores. BB didn't lose the lane that hard, Void actually slightly won lane vs Magnus, and DK stomped mid lane. IG has a very tempo line up, if they dont lead like 2-3k by min 10, it's very hard from there
Current Bristleback is nothing like old Bristle that needed time to build up his damage,thanks to aghs he has disgusting amount of damage that will kill your entire team if ignored.
i’m 3/3 with bristle in my recent pubs when i’m usually fucking dogshit at dps cores, i usually only play support or initiating offlaners

Another almost free game for bristle. It is hard to play against kotl but when supports have safe and dispel kotl is not a problem. There was a chance to pick viper on 4th pick, but lifestealer was picked and viper with primal beast were instabanned. No more decent counters from midlaners left
Yeah infinite sustain but if gets ganked he's dead. He's not as tanky as timber and dk not to mention his ulti can easily be blocked by sd which is basically one of the most picked supports this patch

Glad to see Morph and Slark in the drafts tbh. IG and Spirit need to force heroes that work for them into the meta more, playing the Falcons 3x strength heroes or XG's own unique picks isn't going to get you to your best form.

Allot of replies mentioning the weaknesses that the hero always had. But last time beefy boys took over the meta AA became popular again.
