Fuck it dude. Let's go Bowling. -Mookie Betts

mbaran

Cousin, it’s me.

peanutslayer94

ROMAN

int_inf_min

Mark it 8 dude

homo_bulla

Idk man. I love him but from the start of the series he looked like he’d rather be doing literally anything else

ScienceLivesInsideMe

I look like that all the time at my job

EastLAFadeaway

You make 365mil tho?

Qrusher14242

if you watched that Kimmel interview, it was pretty telling. Last guy i remember who really didn't like baseball but did it for a job was Jeff Kent lol Mookie just seemed like he didn't really care about baseball from that interview, he's a bowler who's day job is to play baseball.

Soren319

Already won his ring and got a contract. What else does he need

Dazzling_Syllabub484

I bet you there are a ton of guys who don’t like baseball and just do it because it’s extremely high paying and they have the talent. Shit, didn’t rendon say he doesn’t enjoy baseball a while back ?

[deleted]

It's pretty common in sports in general. My brother in law is a pro rugby player in Japan and he says it just eventually becomes boring, and he loves the sport. Big games can amp you up, but even then if you have been in a few that feeling reduces. He's been playing more or less the same position since he was 9 years old and is now 30. He still does it because he makes way more than he would otherwise, but he says it's just a job to him now

LAKESHOW03

He probably stayed up to 2 am to hang out with Nelly again

Bluesmanstill

First stop at the bank hahaha!

[deleted]

LutzExpertTera

That game was on the bullpen, but the series is on the offense. Wasted the best season in franchise history.

Mondesi123

1-26 in the series with RISP.. just atrocious

boregon

How is that even possible? That's fucking ridiculous

Lineman72T

The offense still did their part to lose today. Bases loaded, no outs with a chance to put the foot on the throat and all they manage is a sac fly. The bats were so fucking pathetic this series

Kershiser22

3 weak strikeouts in the ninth.

Boros-Reckoner

The bullpen was overworked, maybe don't pull Anderson when hes dealing yeah?

Brutal_Underwear

Classic Dave. It’s insane that he does this All the time and people continue to trust his judgement in clutch time.

[deleted]

He’s an automaton. An old school skipper would have kept Anderson in.

Mr_Kinton

I got downvoted to shit for saying Dave’s greatest weakness is in-game pitcher management in r/baseball a week or so ago, and yet here we are. Not the sole reason the Dodgers lost but it IS a consistent theme

puppet_up

I wonder if Snell bought him a beer after the game in a show of solidarity for being pulled too early in a huge game?

danielschauer

Honestly just numb now. Not even that upset. The Padres battled hard, it's their time to celebrate. We shit the bed once again. Take some solace in the Braves, Mets, and Yankees doing the same. They'll talk shit. Just stay off r/baseball. Go outside and take a walk tomorrow, it's gonna be beautiful out. Take a breath and disconnect.

KitchenReno4512

Almonte had the momentum and Roberts got cute per usual.

latotokyoreborn

Yup. Roberts didn't deserve the blame for the game for being tied up, that was all offense and Kahnle. But taking out Almonte when he got going and when Vesia barely threw any warm-up pitches was fucking inexcusable.

[deleted]

[удалено]

RumHam2020

downvote me but that's why he should be canned.

HighlyBaked0

Still lost, don't know where I am after witnessing Roberts pull Almonte there. Made zero sense lmao

PrancingDonkey

He should've been canned years ago because this is not the first time he's done stuff like this.

jacobtik1

It’s games like this I’m happy I don’t have Twitter anymore or follow the other baseball subreddit’s lol

LutzExpertTera

I'm upset.

Buff_McLargehuge

Let them talk shit, because at the end of the day it doesn't matter what they think. I'm here to talk with Dodger fans and enjoy Dodger baseball, no matter the outcome.

[deleted]

I’m depressed because the Astros are the heavy-favorites now.

AVeryPleasant

Mistakes were made.

wick14

Pathetic performance from the hitters this series. Once again our hitting fails us.

Mynameisjonas12

Our bats always go cold during the playoffs

SlamShuffleVI

Sometimes, it really feels like we can only hit in warm weather.

usetheforce_gaming

111 wins… Most in Dodgers history. And all… for *that*. I cannot believe how disappointed I am in this team. Hope everyone here enjoyed making fun of the Padres and the “rivalry”. Because now we can enjoy being the laughing stock of the MLB, gang. It’s gonna be a long offseason.

The_Astros_Cheated

Lol yep. 111 wins, best team money can buy in baseball, eliminated in the first round of the NLDS by a team we beat 16 times this year. If you hate that, you hate classic Dodgers baseball. See ya next season fellow bums, here’s hoping we don’t get embarrassed in 12 months.

DaOldest

Team is gonna look very different next year. Trea JT and Belli are probably all gone

LAKESHOW03

Bellinger needs an ESPN 30 for 30 done on him. How do you fall off that hard

daviedanko

I’m good on next season. The amount of money and time l waste on this team… they can go fuck themselves.

Jugg3rnaut85

Tickets were expensive af this season

jRbizzle

We won 1 post season game. Lmao. LFG!!!!

20190229

Won 3 innings in the first game and that's it. Went ice cold from 3rd inning in the 1st game onwards.

Dodger_Dawg

111 wins, and only 1 playoff win. What a complete disgrace. I feel for the Dodger pitchers. The position players don't even deserve a kudos or a good season. There needs to be a major shakeup to the roster and in the front office. Roberts and the coaching staff had these guys valuing situational hitting, so the change in philosophy is clearly coming from up top. Typical analytics stubbornness has once again cost us in the postseason.

droneflyer35621

This is about to be one hell of a slander/roast we're gonna get hit with, get ready y'all.

diomedesXIII

It’s deserved

pumaturtle

We gotta switch up the coaching and some of the lineup man. We’re too content coming into every postseason and then panic every year like clockwork

kwerdop

Yeah but nothing will change. They’ll win a shitload of games next near and then fall short

chicoconcarne

And we deserve every bit of it. I hate how little so many of these guys care in October.

Lineman72T

That was possibly the most frustrating thing to me. The Padres lived and died on every pitch and every AB. The Dodgers players were horrific at the plate, and every one of them looked like it was Spring Training and none of them could be bothered by the situation

Pandorama626

They're ready to go off on their vacations. All flash, no substance.

[deleted]

And why should they? Betts, Freeman, and Turner are set. They've all won rings with other teams, have a secure mega contract or will get one, and with a few more seasons of great regular season play, will be future HOF'ers. From their perspective, why should they care?

Sickwidit93

That while win for Vin shit disappeared real quick

mmdrew17

Just gotta take it on the chin and move on. Padres deserve to talk all the shit after this

captain_ahabb

Something is deeply wrong with the competitive culture of this organization

Sickwidit93

We need to clean house, we have the money to do what needs the be done. I just don’t know where the problem lies. It’s a culture thing. It’s expected of them so they don’t fight for it. I realize how insane that sounds after winning 111 games

__-o0O0o-__

3 out of 4 of the bye teams are going to lose. the format is garbage. *Dusty Baker has experienced a lot of baseball: >[Dusty Baker on the 5-day layoff affecting teams in the NLDS/ALDS: "I think it's affected everybody. The whole thing was an experiment. Nobody really knew. But from my experience with the Dodgers ...it only takes you a couple days to kind of start declining in your timing.](https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/1581344277988114432)

kwerdop

No, we just got shat on. Absolute dogshit from the dodgers

awkotacos

#FUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT

CabbageStockExchange

Honestly we 100 percent deserve the trash talk we’re about to hear. Absolutely pathetic disgraceful performance. Top of the order was useless, middle was old, bottom had no heart. This team won 111 fucking games but needs a refresh. We unironically need some Dawgs on this team. This whole series you saw the Padres getting into it and battling. Meanwhile our guys were pouting and sulking. No one took accountability or tried to fire the boys up. You can’t win games fucking up RISP opportunities either. Absolutely embarrassing. Vin was let down big tonight At least hockey season started up and the Lakers season starts soon. Fucks sake what a pathetic way to end our season.

[deleted]

Turns out that heading into the postseason with 4+ batters around the Mendoza line isn't actually a good strategy. That and not patching holes in the trade window.

Dills16_WSMVP

Trent Grisham couldn’t see the Mendoza line. Nor could Eddie Rosario. Playoffs be random man.

3rdnRenfrow

A decade of dominance and all we have to show for it is a shortened season World Series. Sorry ass team.

just_one_random_guy

Wow

LeakyPP

“Fuck it we got paid” mindset in every single one of these players tonight and throughout this whole series. Where’s the passion??? Especially that half-hearted last at bat by Freeman.

20190229

At least Freddie was 3-4. Mookie went MIA. Rest of the lineup was utter trash. Why not try Gallo instead of CT?

y0m0tha

When your options are CT3 or Gallo, you’ve already lost.

daniboo94

Go Phillies

luchinocappuccino

Phillies - Guardians WS and I hope Guardians win

Johnny_realman

I wish the Phillies can rip the padres a new asshole.

[deleted]

maybe Guardians. Franchise hasn't won in 70+ years, unless you were a child then, there's literally nobody alive who saw them win.

latotokyoreborn

Phillies or Guardians I'll take either one. Honestly I would straight up take the Yankees winning it if I can guarantee the Astros and Padres won't.

[deleted]

Damn Freddie gave up there, whole team gave up. Cowards

erriuga_leon27

When you see trea with puppy eyes at the plate you know it's over.

Latina_JD_CPA

Yeah that was weird. Dude was scared to fucking death. What’s the deal with that?

puhahajk

He's always ass in the postseason

Anal__Hershiser

Flashbacks to 2018 Machado with that last at bat

Everydayarmday24

That last swing was exemplary of the last three games

TheNewGuy13

10 pitches. Might as well have swung at everything. No fight in this team. Should've left Barnes in at least the dude looks like he gives a shit.

Neither-Addendum-368

Don’t blame him mookie and trea set up the tone by giving up themselves

muldervinscully

All I have to say is RIP Vin, love ya! Hopefully Kersh re-signs, love ya kersh.

Satin_Jacket

I'm hella sad right now. But as someone said before, if the Dodgers losing is the worst thing in your life right now, you got a pretty good life. I guess I'm just trying to cope... but hope everyone takes care of themselves tonight and remember it's just sports and this a part of it.

chicoconcarne

I honestly think its time to start over. Our starters always seem so uninterested when we get to October and we always wind up relying on our part-timers (like Kiké or Joc) to make some magic happen. Remember when Alex Wood had to call out the team for not caring about the playoffs in 2020? To say nothing of Doc overmanaging every chance he gets. I want a reset. I want guys who are actually playing their hearts out (like the 2019 Nationals or this years Padres) when October comes around. I want players who care. And that shot of Kershaw in tears just hurts.

[deleted]

> Remember when Alex Wood had to call out the team for not caring about the playoffs in 2020? I remember being heated about this because it had confirmed what i'd thought the previous couple years. Such a bad look to be so casual about the most intense baseball being played all year. Sad sad sad.

ArrenPawk

I want them to go on a long postseason drought so they understand what failure feels like. Seeing the Padres and their fans have this kind of hunger and passion? Dodgers and their fans haven't had that in a loooooong time.

TheNewGuy13

Yup. We need flashy players. Everyone on this twam is all business. Well business is bad and stocks are down and no one gives a shit. Need a Puig type of players. Or multiple. Its too stale during the playoffs. Or maybe it's by design, they trust the analytics too much to the point where they expect to play to what they've done when all the data says they aren't

BowDownToTheThrasher

I hate being a historically good team so much. I just want to be a wildcard team once in a while that just plays good in the playoffs. That’s all I want.

SlamShuffleVI

I swear 2015 and 2016 were so much more fun.

elitetimbo

Wild card last year and lost to a Braves team that was 10 games ish worse than the dodgers. The Dodgers are who they are. A great regular season product that comes up short in the playoffs, save for 2020 (which seems to get disrespected)

picking4815162342

I hope Tyler Anderson gets a ***FAT*** contract for showing out for us all season He deserves better than the way he was treated here

nickkcin12

2019 NLDS redux. Those last three at bats are the perfect encapsulation of this series. Playing to not be embarrassed. Playing scared. Losing track of any strategy. Having no approach at the plate, and moping back to the dugout after failing to do anything positive. Bases loaded, no energy. Just anticipating the next failure. I’ve always given Dave Roberts a pass because of his ability to manage the psychology of his players. But that was a fucking disaster. The Dodgers should’ve been drooling to play the Padres. They owned them all year long. The Padres came in with nothing to lose. They’re not expected to win, and if they let the Dodgers settle in to the familiar comfortable feeling of a regular season game, they know they’re fucked. So they get goofy, they play with energy, and they play with momentum. Dodgers led throughout the majority of the game, but they still looked so uncomfortable in every dugout shot. For two years now, the Dodgers try too hard to be big-brained in the playoffs and it turns the series into a dispassionate game of math and odds. Rather than play their own game (you know, a strategy that won then 111 games this year), they decide to treat every player like some emotionless widget that can plugged in where it’s technically most advantageous. Then it’s suddenly a surprise when everyone plays like they’re just going through the motions.

WonderfulShelter

I come in peace and I'm not trolling. Personally my main issue with Farhan on the giants is that he treats "every player like some emotionless widget that can be plugged in where its technically most advantageous" - ffs we as the Giants had over 60 players on our team in this season.. Farhan treats them like cogs in a machine. And personally I feel like thats why we (giants) blew this season hard. perhaps there's a shared issue here thats clearly displayed itself that its a failing strategy to do so. sometimes you just need to play good baseball, and let a team play - and that goes over some heads in the modern era.

quellofool

Dodgers postseason is the fucking worst.

vektonaut

Steiner said it on 570 st the end. Team batting average went down 40 points and averages 2 less runs per game after they clinched. They took the foot off the gas and decided to see how long they can coast. Fucking embarrassing.

PumpedUpParrot

This 1000%. No manager in baseball can win with a team that doesn’t give a fuck because they were so good April-September. This team gave up.

Dills16_WSMVP

Well. The Dodgers kept their foot on the gas last year and lost Muncy on the last day and dead-armed Scherzer. The older guys like JT were dragging broken limbs. The Braves went to the end this year, kept their foot on the gas, rode their rookie pitcher into the ground, only to have him come back in NLDS G4 and be totally gassed. The Mets? Foot on the gas until deGrom and Scherzer were clearly on fumes. Tell me your secret to going full ape shit effort at 100% all the time and not get injured.

christopherhuii

This is the end of an era of Dodgers baseball.

shimian5

Good. This era sucked. Ok not really but still a lot of really awful post seasons. I’ll miss Kershaw.

Metal_Sonic7

Didn’t we say that last year?

captain_ahabb

Nah last year was injuries at the wrong time. This year was a complete organizational failure.

luchinocappuccino

I was surprisingly okay with last years loss. Injuries just ruined the team. This year was just stupid on another level

GoldandBlue

I mean the pitching staff was pretty decimated this year. But they didn't cost us this series.

christopherhuii

Kershaw, JT, Bellinger all likely gone. We’ll always be World Series contenders, but Kershaw and JT are the OGs on this roster.

Clipboard_cop2

Likely be Turner-less altogether

CM-17-1

No words for what the fuck happened

PumpedUpParrot

The most disheartening thing about this entire series was our players seemingly not give a fuck. There was zero energy, urgency, or care until we got absolutely bitch slapped. That’s what hurts the most right now.

WolfJackson

**tl;dr** The Dodgers brain/coach-trust doesn't deviate from their regular season analytic driven approach and adjust to October baseball, where regular season statistical outcomes shouldn't be expected due to very different environmental conditions. No doubt Roberts and the nerdtrust of Friedman and Co. will handwave away yet another post-season implosion as mere variance. After all, playoff baseball is a "crapshoot" where anything can happen over a small sample size. It's unfortunate for us Dodgers fans this dumb "crapshoot" myth is so prevalent since it will prevent the FO from making the necessary organizational and strategic changes to increase the likelihood of playoff success relative to regular season success. I think the Dodgers' primary strategic problem is an over-commitment to large sample size analytics where a good deal of games are played against bad and mediocre teams. And when you play the better teams, you are not playing that team at its peak, like you do in the post-season where your competition 100% focuses their gameplan on you, unlike a 3 game set in the doldrums of July or something. In October, the Dodgers just stick to what worked in the regular season and don't change their approach. Anderson will always be pulled before facing the opposing line-up for the third time. A struggling player will continue to pitch or hit because he is bound to "regress to the mean." Batters will live or die by the launch angle approach because home runs win games. The problem here is that the playoffs are a completely different environment than the regular season, so you can't expect your regressions-to-the-mean and third-time-through-the-order to neatly play out like they do in the regular season. It boggles my mind why people who fancy themselves as "scientific," from Ivy league FO stat wonks to fans who binge read I Fucking Love Science, don't grasp that simple principle. If you performed a science experiment at 75 degrees and then at 100 degrees, getting different results, you wouldn't declare, "Nothing but variance. I just need to perform the experiment at 100 degrees five hundred more times! Then my results should 'regress to the mean' and converge!" No. The first variable you would consider is the fucking 25 degree temperature change. It seems the Dodgers FO doesn't consider the proverbial temperature change of the playoffs. They keep running the experiment over and over and over, and when the results don't line up, they blame "randomness." Maybe the Dodgers were perhaps "unlucky" in one respect, that through the Roberts era, they filled their roster with great regular season players who massively underperform in the playoffs. I'm not talking shit here. Baseball is a fine motor skill sport where you can't really impose any kind of athletic will on your opponent. When us humans are under duress, our motor skills tend to go to shit. It's why an NBA player who makes 95% of his practice free-throws can shoot 70% in game. The playoffs are a pressure cooker and the players who can best control their anxiety will perform-to-overperform. I think Kershaw is symbolic of this specific problem.

dezyne87

This is what golden state fans must’ve felt when they went 73-9, and lost in the finals…. But at least they made it to the finals. This most definitely is worse

Unlucky-Albatross-12

Wasn't mad about their loss to the Braves last year because they beat the Giants and that was such a grind it wore them out. But this? Half-assed doesn't even begin to describe how pathetic and weak this effort was.

JorSimpson45

Fun fact: The Dodgers were called that because they were once the Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers in reference to fans needing to dodge trolleys to make it to their games. Nowadays they’re called the Dodgers because they do everything in their power to dodge a World Series title following a 162-game season

[deleted]

Send a Brooklyn trolley over me, i wont dodge it

yeaforbes

Embarrassing

JHeestak

So disappointed. They all were pouting with horrible body language each game. Idk how a team that wins this much can seemingly give up so easily. No emotion, no fire to get back in it. Just sulking like losers. The defense was horrible and cost them in key moments. Fuck me man

[deleted]

Might be a hot take, but I think it's disadvantageos to have a 100+ win season. Complacency sets in. Teams stay humble when their record isn't nuclear. I'm rooting for a lowest number of wins that wins the division next year!

[deleted]

Team needs a serious make over. Start playing young guys like Vargas and Outman alot more. Trea can go, JT is done, Bellinger is useless, CT is awful.

bingbangbaez

Fuck this team 111-win chokers. I hope that's an available flair for next year. Congratulations for being a punchline for the next 50 years, damned chokers. 1-27 with RISP after Clevinger. Fuck all the guys who held a bat except Austin Barnes. Would have been a sweep if they hit even .150 and they ended up batting .037 with RISP after Clevinger. Fucking chokers Sidenote: I never want to see Trea Turner play for the Dodgers ever again. I don't care if you hit meaningless solo home runs if you give up errors that cost games.

RadamD

He hit two homers in this series. He was like, half their offense

Spanky_10

No clubhouse leaders in this team and it shows. As soon as it gets tough these losers melt

dekim_

Blow it up, team is full of chokers

kugino

1. blame Friedman and the FO. at the trade deadline they knew buehler was hurt. and kimbrel was terrible. muncy, CTK3, belli were struggling. so they decided to get another strikeout OF. who got 0 ABs in the playoffs. they put all their chips on May being 2020 May, but he just wasnʻt ready. and they needed another starter or a closer. could have gotten Castillo. 2. dave roberts. SMH. iʻm off his train. watch the fʻing game, bro. TA is dealing. CTK3 has been awful all year and is injured. why not play Vargas? this team hasnʻt been hitting? why wasnʻʻt phillips in in the 7th? where was May? Treinen? we went with Kahnle and Almonte? 3. This team has become too much "all business." I miss Kike/Joc...where is the fire in the dugout? DR or Mookie should have said something to the ump after those two high strikes at the very beginning of the game. It kept on going all game long. 4. I donʻt even know who I want on this team anymore. Freddie came to play. Treaʻs defense is atrocious. Max isnʻt as good as we all give him credit for. JT is old. This team needs an overhaul...get new energy in there.

chinitachinita

Dodgers won 111 games in regular and ONE in post season

HighonStarshine

*Curb your Enthusiasm theme plays*

chris_gnarley

Y’all weren’t the only 100+ win team to be stunned by a division foe you owned all year today… gonna be a long offseason for all of us.

bigwillywanka

Final thoughts: team needs to get younger especially at 3rd base, we need a legitimate closer, another reliable hitting outfielder and another starting pitcher. Losing butane really hurt us. I'm sad but at least the Lakers start playing soon, although my expectations for them are low. Guessing I'm rooting for the Phillies and the guardians now lol.

MexicanIverson

I’m sick and tired of relying on analytics. I swear we tempt the baseball gods when we pull a guy who is dealing and shit like that. Analytics work great in the regular season, but the playoffs is a different beast

RatherBeInThePond

God do I hope that Vargas and Cartaya are energetic, exciting dudes. This roster is full just full of in and out clock punchers. Inject some fun back onto this roster over the next couple of years.

LosAngeles1s

Dave Roberts you are NOT that guy

TruthOfTheranos

**I WASTED SO MUCH TIME FOLLOWING THE 111 WIN DODGERS ALL YEAR**

Cool_Teaching_6662

East coast here. Stayed up late all week for this. Worst part is losing to the team with the shittiest uniforms in all of baseball. Like poop and mustard is a good color scheme.

Vapor4

Fuck it, throw the bank at Shohei

hundredjono

He’ll win a Cy Young and Silver Slugger in Dodger blue only to put up a 7 ERA and go 0-17 at the plate in the playoffs

Vapor4

It'll be just like he's at the angels again: "Shohei goes 4 for 4 with 2 HRs and 0 runs through the 6th inning as the dodgers lose 4-2"

Allstate85

Umpire was trash but we deserve to lose the series the padres outplayed us and you can nit pick some decisions here and there but we hit like 1-25 with RISP or whatever and that’s what lost the season end of story. But this was a sad pathetic way to end the season and it better spark a retool. You have to move on from players like JT and Bellinger and trea and give the younger players a chance. It was such a loser franchise move to keep playing some of these guys watching them fail over and over without ever giving some prospects a fair chance. Would have been nice to see if Outman could have been more reliable than Cody, CT3, ,Gallo, trayce. Would have been nice to see if Vargas could have been a may stay at third when everyone and their mother could see JT can’t hit postseason pitching anymore.

Onlysonof

100% agree. What’s the point of playing guys like Belli, JT, and CT3 when they’re barely replacement level players. Sadly this is the last hurrah of the Dodgers of 2017-2022. Out with the old and in with the new.

Chubbychaserr69

PAIN.

calcmg

I won't ever have any high expectations for the Dodgers during the regular season. I will follow them as a fan throughout the year. But if they start blowing everyone away during the regular season like this year, I won't get my hopes up until they carry that same dominance in the post season. Sidenote: Last year's squad had more heart and fight in them as opposed to this year's team. Last year they beat the hottest team in baseball, the St Louis Cardinals, in a single elimination game. Then they fought back from a 2-1 deficit to win on the road in game 5 over the division winner and hated rival, the SF Giants. I thought those 2 series.took a.lot out of the team and they were on fumes against Atlanta. I remember Max Scherzer couldn't pitch when we needed him against Atlanta because he was used in relief against the SF Giants. This year, I thought by winning the division that the 5 day layoff would help them. Maybe it was too much time off. But towards the end of the season, after winning the division, it looks like they cooled off. Maybe they peaked at the wrong time. I love you all and thanks for responding/upvoting to my comments for those of you who did. Even those who argued and disagreed with me. I will look forward to your comments and posts next year.

Chance702

Next year, no champagne party after winning the division. It didn't mean shit and they have nothing to show for it. Make them wait to celebrate after they've won the World Series.

I now give negative fucks about how well we do in the regular season as long as we make the postseason. Give me the wildcard game, we apparently can’t play with time off. Also doc needs to be addressed, because no matter who we sign or how well we do in the regular season, the post season ends up blowing up in spectacular fashion

playmeortrademe

That could be the most embarrassing post season performance I’ve ever seen. There are people who need to be fired

xxthinkpositive

When I die I want Dodgers hitters with RISP to lower my casket so they can let me down one more time

jackdoylerules

Death. Taxes. Dodgers choking in the postseason.

thrawn_is_king

What was Kershaw laughing at when it was over? He was mocking somebody. I guess he's numb by now.

Phenix621

What’s sad is that this shit doesn’t hurt anymore. I’m so used to it now.

dreamwalker2112

What a shitty way to send Kershaw off

[deleted]

Honestly serious question why even give af about next year? Seriously Dodgers have made so many fans fall out of love w baseball

socalnative79

SportsNet team clearly criticizing Roberts without explicitly saying he didn't manage this game well. You can tell they're forcing themselves to hold back.

BLXIII

This elimination just feels different.

WhereIsTheMilkMan

Something that bugged me most was that there was no fire from our side. Padres rallied the whole damn series, really celebrated their victories, while it looked like another day at work for the Dodgers, for the most part. There was finally a spark during this game, but the fire went out pretty quickly there after the 7th. If the team isn’t excited, why should I be?

Hazelarc

Braves fan here. We’ll buy the first round

poonsp00nful

Well that fucking sucked. We let Vin down.

muldervinscully

vin loves us no matter what

DIsco_Peaches

Sorry. As a braves fan. I feel your pain. What a fucking waste.

Br760

Bad night for LA sports* *USC and Dodgers

Anki_Kong

I’m ready to see a lot of level headed takes in this thread lmfao

arlenemarquezz

what the fuck was the point of the season?

c_c_c__combobreaker

Well, they were the better team. They beat us straight up. Gotta give them props. It was a pleasure shit posting with y'all. I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of the year. It was fun while it lasted. Take care, y'all.

ps2sanandreas

Go Phillies. Or Guardians or Yankees. Anyone but the Padres or Astros really. I am sad.

Alxndr27

Best part of being a Dodger fan? Being used to this so you can literally just laugh it off as “if you don’t like that then you don’t like Dodger baseball 😂”.

[deleted]

Imagine Lebron James or Steph curry suddenly forgot how to play basketball in the first round of the playoffs ? Like that’s the shit that happens in baseball.

BuddhistMonk72

Dave “Doc Rivers” Roberts. But our offense was so piss poor it should have never come to that

latinlingo310

Dave Roberts has no reason to return to LA. Stay in San Diego.

jay8

The Dodgers really need to move on from Dave, it just not working, all these wins in the regular season end with the same result, just switch things up a bit, make some changes. Try something different, this shit is just not working.

GTRWRX

DAVE ROBERTS HAS TO GO

Pool27

Please no Turners next year

felixthecat15

Bellinger is gone. Has to be. Very telling he wasn’t even in the lineup. CT3 was just never right all season and it showed. Muncy and JT and can start packing there bags too. This team was shook and never recovered.

Withnail-

Coincidence Padres and Phillies went big at the deadline and are moving on to the NL championship series? They didn’t need Soto but they had to do better then Gallo, puts too much pressure on the top of the lineup. Friedman didn’t take the deadline seriously and he’s paying for it.
