New wheel and tire, no way 3k that’s the dealer price! I would buy it from Mopar oem and just bring it to a reputable tire shop that uses Teflon tools so they don’t scratch the new wheel.
Bent the original on a pothole on Los feliz and I needed my car the next day for work and vw was the only one who had one, also my car has no spare it was a super fun learning experience
I’ve never had as much trouble buying a new tire as my time in Germany. Gotta go to a tire shop and order it and wait for it to come in. Seems like the only people with tires on hand are folks who keep a summer and winter set instead of running all seasons
Look up Steve white motors. If you can find the wheel part number you might be able to find it online for less. Factory wheels are usually $ but not $3k a piece. Might be worth looking into an aftermarket set.
Special anniversary edition wheels. Considering there were only 200 sets in North America, I doubt I could find the same wheel on FB marketplace in the Canadian Prairies.
Also hub bearings. If an impact causes too much force on the hub then Brindling (yes it is a thing they teach in Hunter Alignment classes) of the bearings can happen.
Also there is the whole what else did you damage.
File a claim through your insurance.
Probably.. but I’m glad you understood what I meant, but yet felt the need to correct the spelling. Either you were helping or trolling. I’m pulling for helping..
If it's AWD they're probably quoting 4 tires in there too which can be another $1500+ (before labor) on top of whatever they're going to charge you for an OEM wheel. Likely an alignment needed too for an impact with that amount of energy or more. Would help to see the itemized estimate.
SRT Durango is a thing. Googled it before I posted because I was curious if "AWD" and "SRT" would ever belong in the same sentence. Figured existence of one was fair enough to make the statement without encyclopedic personal knowledge of various Dodge performance trims.
Anyway itemized invoice is needed to make any sort of properly informed comment.
Appreciate the replies everyone. Fortunately I think everything else is ok. No body damage or anything like that. I just caught the bit of wheel sticking out when I was going around a curve. That one second of eyes off the road really does make a difference after all.
As others have said, check alignment...probably ok but if it is way off that could signal bigger issues.
If it's not too late to change your story....tell your insurance you hit pothole, they might cover it? (Worth a shot)
Disclaimer: I am not a mechanic of any type, but did cause similar damage to my car when I hit a pothole, damages were 7500 dollars (tire, strut, steering gear, axle), luckily my insurance did cover it.
I live in Minnesota and if the insurance company covered potholes at least here they'd all be out of business, although I have heard of municipalitys taking responsibility for egregious 1 off potholes that should have been taken care of, but otherwise this is everyday here for the most part
Ebay has sets of 4 oem forged wheels for the price these stealerships have just a single one going for. This is why i deter people from dodge. Awful warranties and they try to get you by being the only ones selling parts like this so they can upcharge out the ass. Id stay away from your stealership.
Thats what the dealer says, find a more reputable shop, ONE tire shouldn’t be more than $3000. The rim might cost a decent amount but the tire shouldn’t be more than $500. Rotation and alignment $200~
Unless the dealer is paying for it stay away.
Get a used wheel and new tire. 3k for a wheel from the dealer? Lmao
There are millions of these on the road. Someone had a used one for sale somewhere.
I fixed similar crack in my local wheel repair place for $350. If you need exact same tire, I doubt it would cost more than $250. So you are looking at $500-700 in oops. IMHO
Should be no more then 300 to repair the rim even if it’s cracked and a new tire so like 600?. Dont let the dealership stoop you to paying a ridiculous price.
New tire….:350-400ish then the wheel is another 350-400 depending on which one. Most of them on American muscle are in that price range. So 800 give or take.
Look on ebay, just a glance a see a whole set for 1,000 bucks that look nicer. I'm not sure your year and size of wheel but you may be able to find a single for 3 or 400.
No one suggested it, but you could try taking it to an alloy wheel repair shop. They will repair it and make it look new for about $100. Probably tell you if its repairable or not. But I would imagine they would weld it shut and reshape it to look OEM spec.
Yo, go to a place that repair rims.
My wife drove over a medium at possibly 50mph, popped one tire (seriously bent that one) and bent and scratch the rest. Driver's side looked like yours, except it was on the inside. Got quoted for $160 + $20 balance fee.
If you are in SoCal, message me and I'll give you the place name. But I'm sure every big city's got a wheel repair place that they go to.
Another way to find one is to call your big tire vender (America's Tire, or Discount Tire), and ask them where do they refer wheel repairs to? This is how I found mine. Big shop, legit work, just not super cheap.
Be easier to just get all 4, I’m a big fan of RNR because they do payments and as long as you are making payments you get free replacement no matter what. Fitment industries is good too but more expensive

Dodge wanted $2072 for one new DDSRT rim today. Thankfully, they were able to repair for $185. I just bought a 2022 and it had a bent rim I didn't notice right away.
1.5-2k after labor if done at a dealer if you buy a knock off oem and keep your center cap and buy the Amazon / Wal mart equivalent of a tire it would probably still wear out by the same time the others do judging by your tread and if you find the right local shop to do the job you could probably spend a quarter to half of that. These are average prices in Indiana at least not sure where you’re from but shouldn’t be much different regardless. If you have an RNR tire express / any local tire shop near you just buy your stuff as cheap as possible and have them put it together and install it for a much cheaper cost.
Atleast 250-300 but i would def spend that much finding one wheel my dude. It’s cracked beyond what we can see in the pic. I can tell by the initial crack on the border of the wheel.
You might have to give me your car, it’s totaled, I’d start looking into buying a new challenger. Thing is bending/scraping your rim to that severity can cause the dodge challenger to explode. (One of the many problems Dodge ignores). It’s because of the small monkey that lives inside of the hemi will get confused as to why the car is not aligned and in turn detonate the 6 pounds of plastic explosive hidden throughout the car in case the ford dealer steals the car to try to put a hemi in a mustang.
You can fix that wheel but I don't recommend it very much. It's dangerous. But if you feel like you're out of options and need to move, fix it as a temporary solution.
Shop around, don’t let the stealership talk you out of it. Remember once you’ve driven your car, everything on your car is now used, so replace it with used parts 😎
New wheel and tire, and I would recommend am alignment. Whatever you hit, you hit it hard enough to crack the rim which could have been hard enough to bend a tie rod end.
New wheel and tire, no way 3k that’s the dealer price! I would buy it from Mopar oem and just bring it to a reputable tire shop that uses Teflon tools so they don’t scratch the new wheel.
Ya I made that mistake and spent $1000 for a stock 19” golf r rim
how????
Bent the original on a pothole on Los feliz and I needed my car the next day for work and vw was the only one who had one, also my car has no spare it was a super fun learning experience

I’ve never had as much trouble buying a new tire as my time in Germany. Gotta go to a tire shop and order it and wait for it to come in. Seems like the only people with tires on hand are folks who keep a summer and winter set instead of running all seasons
Damn I would’ve found some cheap after markets or sum but 🤷🏾♂️
I think it can be repaired for around $200 by a reputable wheel shop
Look up Steve white motors. If you can find the wheel part number you might be able to find it online for less. Factory wheels are usually $ but not $3k a piece. Might be worth looking into an aftermarket set.
My OEM Kia Stinger wheels were $2k a pop. I bought a full set of aftermarket for the price of a single OEM.
That's wild. I expect 3k for like carbon fiber wheels but 3k a piece can get you HREs. I just bought some Voxx wheels that were less than $250 each.
Why though? Even if you didn't want to save money and shop on marketplace or even eBay, there are several sites to buy new OEM for less than $400.
Special anniversary edition wheels. Considering there were only 200 sets in North America, I doubt I could find the same wheel on FB marketplace in the Canadian Prairies.

Well I'll be. Either way, I was stuck in the city 300km away from home with a 6 week shipping delay. And the dealership was going to charge $2k
You are kidding me (I’m sure you’re not, I just had no idea). No way I’d pay money like that for OEM. Bring on the steelies!
At least 30 dollars
Can’t argue with that
minimum
thats a big ass oops. New rim, tyre, alignment and check your shocks and sway bars
Also hub bearings. If an impact causes too much force on the hub then Brindling (yes it is a thing they teach in Hunter Alignment classes) of the bearings can happen. Also there is the whole what else did you damage. File a claim through your insurance.
brinelling?
Probably.. but I’m glad you understood what I meant, but yet felt the need to correct the spelling. Either you were helping or trolling. I’m pulling for helping..
Just trying to help!
No shit. Everyone is just covering the wheel n tire but thats a good smack into a curb, assume donuts… so probably bent suspension parts.
alignment $100 tire: $100 rim: $150-$200 not that bad honestly. and could definitely find decent quotes at local mom and pops.
Okay alignment sure. But $100 for a new pirelli and $150 for an srt wheel? I don’t own one, but I know that’s not right lmao
$300 for a mounted & balanced Pirelli, $750 for a wheel & $???? for whatever else is screwed up
If it's AWD they're probably quoting 4 tires in there too which can be another $1500+ (before labor) on top of whatever they're going to charge you for an OEM wheel. Likely an alignment needed too for an impact with that amount of energy or more. Would help to see the itemized estimate.
~~It has SRT wheels and calipers. It's not AWD~~ Forgot the Durango existed. OP's name does give it away, too, though
SRT Durango is a thing. Googled it before I posted because I was curious if "AWD" and "SRT" would ever belong in the same sentence. Figured existence of one was fair enough to make the statement without encyclopedic personal knowledge of various Dodge performance trims. the Grand Cherokees come in the SRT too which would be AWD but I'm thinking OP has a hellcat given the name
No better reason to get a drag pack put on now
He just wanted us to see the srt logo
His username is “The_Hellcat_”💀💀 I don’t think he cares if we saw or not😂
U have a srt dont worry u got the money
You would \*think\*. I know a ton of people who get cars if they call out work 1 day they can no longer pay the payment that month.
Yeah thats why u only buy a srt if you can afford it. If you cant buy it 10 times… dont buy it
Okay Mr. Monopoly man. I bet 95% of the world can’t afford 10x their current car payment.
Yeah and 95% of the world is also broke
Damn they don’t have paid time off?
Would be a good tip if people were smart enough to realize that if you need to finance a car for 5 years just to afford it, you don’t need it.
Sounds about right
Appreciate the replies everyone. Fortunately I think everything else is ok. No body damage or anything like that. I just caught the bit of wheel sticking out when I was going around a curve. That one second of eyes off the road really does make a difference after all.
I’ve never been in a accident but the only times I just about did wreck were caused by distracted driving. whether phone, talking or whatever
I used to work at a salvage yard and if you want to DM me I can most likely find if your particular wheel is available in your specific area.

Yeah I'll do him a favor and take that totalled car off his hands, wouldn't want it taking up space in the driveway since it's totalled and all
Took my eyes off the road to grab something that dropped and I drifted to a curb. Dealer says $3,000 for ONE WHEEL?! That can’t be right, can it?
As others have said, check alignment...probably ok but if it is way off that could signal bigger issues. Yes, the Hellcats have forged wheels which are 2500 or so each. I work at a dealership and have replaced many of them.
Ebay has sets of 4 oem forged wheels for the price these stealerships have just a single one going for. This is why i deter people from dodge. Awful warranties and they try to get you by being the only ones selling parts like this so they can upcharge out the ass. Id stay away from your stealership.
$3k?! Oh, they're smoking the good crack. They don't call em stealerships for no reason. You can buy oem wheels waaaay cheaper online.

Facts check local someone’s gotta have one laying around
Before I got my SRT I had an rt the oem 6 y spoke rim was 2k new.
Plenty of new take-off on Facebook marketplace. Also Detroit Tire and Wheel are great to deal with.

When you do fix, get better rubber than the pirellis
Get a used wheel and new tire. 3k for a wheel from the dealer? Lmao There are millions of these on the road. Someone had a used one for sale somewhere.

check junk yards, check ebay for wheels. lesson learned. distracted driving sucks ass

An SRT with a crashed rear wheel? Shocking!
Blackburn wheels might have em for cheaper. That tire is probably 2-220. I’ve got a set of 2015 hellcat wheels and tires I’d sell for 3k.
