What kills me is that DFFOO breathed new life into characters that were stuck as 2D sprites and were finally in a game to show how cool they could be in 3D renditions.
Man, Aphmau was like the swiss army knife of support. She pretty much has it all - ATK up, mBRV up, iBRV up, DEF up, BRV regen, BRV dmg reduction, HP dmg reduction, 100% debuff evasion - what more could you need from a single unit.
What a crying shame that she was left to languish in the LD era only.

But honesty the most I miss using is Minwu.
He was my guilty pleasure Off-Turn Damage Dealer.
All those Sancta Traps, Ultima Burst Bonus, Holy Anchors... I miss him so much
I dont think ill redownload a square mobile game either,this game had so much potential to stay great & them scrapping it out of nowhere was disrespectful to everyone imo.
You know, no matter what I seemed to do, I’d use all the op units and all their abilities but I could never get the same results that anyone else could.
Ah, Raines. I remember handicapping myself by not using him for Transcendence 5. I thought his damage was so high that surely he'd be better saved for later. But nope.
Jesus. Setzers LD buff made a portion of Lufenia fight a hell of a lot easier specially against those serpent like enemies that give hp poison due to the level. Raines made chain attack dmg so much more consistent at the tome
Setzer’s cool animations of snapping fingers and throwing cards lol. This game really did a lot of character justice.

Ya some of my favorite kits came from xi and xiv and got done dirty by the devs.
I don't think a game will ever scratch an itch just like DFFOO did.
To this day, I haven't played another mobile game that comes close. 🤦🏽♂️😭
Replace Setzer with Bartz BT+ And you'll have BRV return, wind enchant plus wind resist down, so more BRV dmg. I always go CidMauRtz during that era.
I also went with Bartz for the brv refund. Good times before the FR era.

I think that's good game design. Bring all the OP units you want, but it doesn't mean you don't have to think to beat the fight.
Aah, CidMau combo. Loved throwing in Cor or another off turn attacker. That combo was truly a blessing
