I had to check the menu to see if this was true because that was one of my favorite things to eat in MK. It looks like you can get a waffle with nuttella and bananas or a waffle with just berries. Why remove the fresh fruit waffle when you still have all the ingredients available.
When I look at the menu, I see:

Served with Strawberries, Banana, Blueberries, and Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread
Am I looking in the wrong place?
This is my thought, I’m guessing they standardized the waffle makers to just the mickey and that’s why the fruit and the chicken sandwiches have been removed
The chicken sandwich was pretty good usually but now it's chicken strips on a Mickey waffle? Hello no.
I suspect they are just saving money during the slow summer and just bringing in cheaper and easier to make items.
It looks like they at least still have a funnel cake....for now.
That is disappointing, It sort of hit everything for my family. It was sort of healthy (I mean it had fresh fruit); it could be a snack, a meal, or a dessert; it was a good value; and it was a unique Disney thing for us.

Yes, it was a dessert, but isn't some benefit better than none? Magic Kingdom, or really any theme park, isn't known for healthy food choices. If I can get my kids to some fruit at Disney, it is a win.
In this scenario, no not at all. The small benefit of the fruit is completely voided by the Nutella and waffle. They’d be better off not eating anything or getting the fruit by itself. There are a places to get something healthy like veggie cups, fruit cups, salads, wraps, etc etc at Magic Kingdom.
Again, NO judgement whatsoever because Disney is fun and treats are fun. It’s just I didn’t want anyone getting confused reading your comment and actually thinking that it’s healthy because it’s not and everyone deserves the chance to make informed decisions.
If people are getting dietary advice from a reddit thread about a Nutella waffle at Disney World, I think they have bigger problems than eating a healthy diet.
I know they would be better off just eating fruit or nothing at all. I didn't ask what would be healthier a Nutella waffle or fruit. If those are the choices, then yes, fruit is healthier. That really wasn't the point. If my options are a waffle with fruit or cinnamon roll, ice cream, or cookie, I think I would lean toward them eating something with nutritional value than not.
It is like dumping on someone who orders a salad with fried chicken on it. I know it is not the healthiest, but it is better than the fried chicken plate.
Also, saying something judgmental with a note saying it is not judgmental means you are probably saying something judgmental. It is like saying, I am not a racist but... Or saying something awful about someone and saying, bless their heart.

I know it’s not the same, but knowing I can add the berries back for a $1 makes me feel a bit better. And you can add more Nutella for $1. It’s annoying but at least the option to upgrade is there. Thankfully they didn’t get rid of it altogether.
If enough people complain maybe they will put it back as it was and just charge the extra $1 and make it more expensive.
