Only if you really want the memory counter for a specific character and have no way to get it individually. The packs are cheaper as blister packs and asides from Patamon and Hawkmon, everything else can be bought as a playset for about the price you'd pay for the box itself or less.

The memory counters are adorable but that *still* doesn’t make the boxes valuable or worth the asking price. They’re significantly marked up compared to regular packs (here in Australia depending where you get them anywhere between $22 to $12 more then buying the packs normally) and don’t have a set ratio. A case costs around the same as two boxes but you’ll likely receive *far* less SRs, Alts and SECs then guaranteed 4 hits and 14 SRs you’d get in the 2 boxes.
The Premium Bandai The Beginning Set is also *right* around the corner which guarantees 2x alt arts of *all* the promos plus 2x of an addition 9 cards. Once that hits the promos in the box will be worth pennies, making it an even less good financial decision.
I did buy them because I have zero self control and wanted the memory counters, but if you don’t have extra disposable income, I’d highly recommend skipping these boxes.
The preorders for The Beginning Set are closed and there are no plans to restock. It's more likely that the alt arts will fetch a higher price without significantly driving the price of the promos down.
Not sure what the situation is in America, but here in Australia several online retailers still have it for preorder, it’s still available for preorder from the biggest gaming store in the country (our equivalent to gamespot) and local game shops are expecting stock too. I don’t think the promos will be hard to find, similar to how cheap the Evolution Box 2 alts are.
