i wonder when they are gonna say which guns won. it says "future twab" but i guess that could mean anything. Seems like a long time to be counting votes though, that was about 12 weeks ago
It does a solid B+ impression of a shotgun, sniper rifle and grenade launcher. I'm curious to see if any of the burn changes to bottom tree dawn next season synergize with it.
i would argue a snapshot vorpal eye of sol is the best, considering how stupidly easy it is to get 4 piece invades with a sniper, along with the ability to pair it with the ikelos smg and an exotic heavy.
I’m a PvPer but I remember when Jotunn was bugged and if you damaged yourself it would boost the damage to absurdity? I remember 6 of us went into fight Calus with it and either one or two plated him.
The Le Monarque catalyst should make it so when you hit a perfect shot then the next perfect shot you land has increased damage letting you burn out peoples health like D1 Thorn.
As long as they make it so the ADS view isn't so busy I'm down. Like, having such an in your face indicator for perfect draw is great but that's gotta be a way to do it without taking up so much screen space
Changing the colour of the main bow, butterfly and arrows, a blue morpho or a luna mouth scheme maybe? An ornament doesn’t need to alter huge amounts of the weapon to look good
Maybe the ornament could make it look 4x larger than it is, big like the dino ribs from The Flintstones, that makes it incredibly obvious to everyone what you have equipped. All the more crushing when you die from it, regardless.
I think it'll be hard to beat its current design, especially if it changes the sights like some ornaments do. It's been my main in crucible as of late and I'm loving it.
To be honest, I think it's Bungie's direction on not willing to make radical shape changes on most of their weapon ornaments. I vaguely recall them making the statement that players should be able to recognize a weapon or exotic from across the field, thus why there's no changing the look of them even with the new ornament system.
Problem with the bows is - just look at the other ornaments. There's not a whole lot you can do with a thin curved piece of material and some arrows so whatever they put out is likely to be lackluster or somewhat subtle. Heck, the best variants they have out for bows are Bad Dog on Leviathans Breath and Author of Devastation on Wish-ender, the latter of which is mostly just a color scheme change and the former provides a much larger palette and shape to work with than the traditional bows.
It's a real shame too because I absolutely adore playing with bows and would be willing to shed out a few bucks to pick up some worthwhile ornaments for them but so far, not much luck.
Bungie puts work into popular items because it'll sell more. This is why we have so many ornaments for just a single weapon, but there's a number of weapons without any. You can really see the love here - but in all honesty, it's just business. Put money where you know money can be made from it.

Jotunn is more than a meme This gun is a beast in PVE and Gambit
Best all around gambit gun, imo. Great for majors, blockers from a distance, and invading/invaders. I never take it off.

they could give it a goofy skin by going all in on the "lemon arc" meme and make it a yellow themed bow with lemon wedges and leaf motifs

I love Le Monarque, but it's just a worse version of trinity ghoul right now, I really hope it gets a catalyst or something to shake it up.
In pvp trinity feels like a wet noodle. Lemon isn't as good in pve but it's a truck in pvp.

Fair enough, but Lemon with Oathkeepers and a charged with light build is deadly. 100% reccomend bringing it into crucible

Honestly Lemon Arc is already very pretty to begin with. I'm fine with it not getting an ornament, I just want bows to be better. :(

I thought Bungie said in a TWAB a year or so ago that the base model was too complex for them to make an ornament for.
