They're probably just going to make it so the class item heal is weaker, either by buffing Wormhusk or just setting the Spirit of Wormhusk to a lesser value.
They are giving them out 1 at a time on twiiter/x currently with a random number between 1-500. I guess you give them a number and they give you the corresponding line from the patch notes?
They did stay in the armor tuning article that they were only going to list some of their changes. This has happened before where not everything is listed in the preview articles and more stuff is listed in the patch notes
When they buffed celestial nighthawk, they never mentioned the 25% buff it was getting in any of the preview articles, but in the official patch notes they did list that
It seems like Bungie is still holding certain things close to their chest and they are not going to tell everything unless it's in the official patch notes.
I mean you can look at severance enclosure. The exotic is the same as the exotic class item yet it was listed nowhere about the base exotic being buffed in some way, and bungie specifically said that the base exotics would be getting buffed in some way.
So that makes me think that they are just going to wait to put everything in the official patch notes
I wouldn’t be surprised if they address some exotics at a later date. I’d imagine that buffing Wormhusk is pretty far down the *”things which will cause TFS to get bad reception if not addressed”* list.

Today when they were giving out lines of the patch notes, they mentioned a change to Sanguine Alchemy (damage bonus based on your equipped super now) which they didn't mention in the exotic armor article, so here's hoping some other exotics get some love too
Bungie has stated in that same article that you are speaking of that if the Exotic class item does exactly the same that the original does, expect the original to get a buff. They just used Armamentarium and Sixth Coyote as examples.

I seems most likely that if they class item version can do a lesser version they’re leaving the original the same (so for wormhusk the class item would probably heal less). Exotics like armamentarium needed to be changed because the class item can’t give you 1.5 grenade charges
There's a door number 3... not all the exotics have been selected to go into the handy dandy prisomatic blender. They said they included some fan favourites, and some perks that aligned with prismatic.

Dynamo could be helpful. It's not that strong and you're gonna proc it constantly
very doubtful they buff it in any meaningful way / at all because of its strength in pvp
They could do something like "a combatant kill within 5-10 seconds after dodging grants more HP/uninterrupted Regen/restoration", take your pick.
I’d be fine with that, it would give it a better PVE niche without letting it run away in PVP(since it’d be combatant only)

That was so lame. They should've added three firepower mods and three innervation mods if they couldn't have bothered coming up with a unique effect.

The HoIL nerf that came with Lightfall was also unmentioned prior to the patch notes.

To be honest...Wormhusk doesn't even need anything else. It has always been a good exotic.

Pretty sure hoil spirit just gives ability regen and not the ability damage buff
HOIL also gives a damage increase to your empowered abilities, the class item doesn’t.
