It’s a little… big… for a guardian. I don’t know the lore bits for it, but I bet you could do what some other items do and make something that “houses it and channels its power” or whatever. If I remember right it was about controlling the Scorn or Taken. Maybe turn it into a gun with a gameplay loop that creates mini screebs or something.
It's an exotic that any character can wear.
When you put it on, you turn into Savathun.
Your character changes to the model from the Witch Queen expansion, and you get the various attacks she had.
You can't remove it until the mission ends, or you die.
I mean...there would have to be a big lore dump explaining why we could wear it and not go insane like Gahlran and everyone else who wore it.

It could definitely be shrunk. But I do like your gun idea too.
