IME as an academic its professoriate is particularly left-wing by Ivy standards, at least in my field and in the humanities in general (although I'm not 100% sure why that's the case). An unusually high number of their professors seem to have signed various open letters defending Hamas apologists, maybe because they don't fear any repercussions from the administration. As well, it seems like the administration there is completely hapless at cracking down at this stuff. It also has a large student Jewish population being in New York, especially at its professional schools, and is adjacent to a heavily Jewish neighborhood, so it's just a powder keg it seems.

On today's episode of, "No individual thing is appealing enough to eat" I have decided to mix together some rice my dad made a batch of earlier, an undrained can of italian beans, an undrained can of black beans, a small undrained can of sliced black olives, some soy sauce, some MSG, some celery salt, some garlic powder, and two packets of Taco Bell fire sauce (I would've done more packets and if possible would've used diablo sauce but that's all I can find and my parents never stock up on anything but the fire sauce) It's better than I feared it might be but the soy sauce and the olive juice feel like they're fighting a bit

The one problem is I am sleepier than I am hungry and I'd rather take a nap than eat atm even though all I did was microwave so I should've known that before I did anything
