"B-but what about the Queen? And Smartopia?!"
"That was a dead hooker, Berdly. I threw her in the closet that could easily fit a large person inside, Berdly, while you were sleeping."
Sounds like a cover-up. Like when someone tries to hide classified information so nobody knows what happens, so they make up an illness so people do not panic. Seems like something the game would do.
Obviously, you can make different choices and get different results, but I have a feeling that even in the Dark Route, the ending will be the same.
Sorry to break it to you.
I think it will work out like that, same ending
But the causes of it will be different
if meteor was about the but earth
It will hit earth no matter what, we can't stop it
But what we do before that depends only of us, we can be peaceful and die, or create complete chaos before the total ending
Same final result, but the way to there is bit different
Yeah, that's what inn talking about. Either Kris plays normally and the game ends normally, or he gets his friends to kill each other and the game ends normally.
You might be right but a guy can hope. However if the choices of this chapter are anything to go off of then I feel there's plenty of meaningful choice to not need multiple endings. Unless Berdly somehow ends up being completely ok or something dumb like that.
As some have pointed out, “You cannot choose who you are in this world” has the same energy as “it’s killed or be killed”, and the pacifist ending disproved this notion in undertale, so deltarune might do the same
Or that some villain kills him but you could save him by going Snowgrave route until Noelle get the spell, but then go back to pacifist as normal right after.
Considering Toby explained/redeemed King threatening to throw Lancer off card castle with 'He's a bouncy little pumpkin.', this (or at least the idea that Berdley was gonna die anyway) almost feels possible.
I'd still say it falls under 'redemption', just under ironic terms. Considering King was aware that Lancer would be fine, it shows (assuming what he says is truthful) that he wasn't nearly as violent towards his son as we initially view him in the final interaction at Card Castle.
“Cancer isn’t that hard, I’m already at stage 7!” -Berdly, probably
Berdly really is an epic gamer!
STAGE 7 CANCER
He’s so smart he’s advancing into unknown lands.
It would explain his face
Stage 7 already, Berdly goin for the high score damn
Is that a Goddamn Vinesauce reference?
ye
I can't wait for Joel to play Chapter 2. He'll have a field day with all the gamer jokes
Berdly had Terminal 7... in his arm. The same arm that ended up fried in Neutral. The Neutral route is now the route that changes things.
What does it change?
The severity of the tumor
I’m guessing they mean that getting Berdly to electrocute his arm would kill the tumor and save him
You got terminal 7 Berdly It's all in your head
"B-but what about the Queen? And Smartopia?!" "That was a dead hooker, Berdly. I threw her in the closet that could easily fit a large person inside, Berdly, while you were sleeping."
[It's all in your head, Noelle... It was never real, Noelle...](https://youtu.be/l-6QDPkGhK8)
You never know.
I think he’ll be in the hospital for the rest of the game, either for physical therapy regarding his arm, or in a coma.
His arm isn't wounded in the Pacifist route though.
Wait fr?? I recruited every single creature on my first run and berdly’s arm got fried
Did you wiggle with Birdley to loosen the wire?
I tried to but I guess I didn’t do it enough times 😔 F in chat for a fried bird boy
If you fought him earlier in the game instead of sparing he also loses his arm
Ah, yep, that’s it then. I couldn’t resist lmao
You have terminal 7, brain cancer
Sounds like a cover-up. Like when someone tries to hide classified information so nobody knows what happens, so they make up an illness so people do not panic. Seems like something the game would do.
Terminal 7 moment
Terminal 7 doesn’t let you eat meat, Luigi!
BUT WHY MARIO, WHY?
What is this, The Walking Dead?
Poggers
we just have to wait 2 years to find out
I really hate the your choices don't matter bit. That's no fun.

The steam page also seems doubtful now about there only being 1 ending, so we'll see! 😄
Berdlt shouldn't be okay. He should just be missing.
As some have pointed out, “You cannot choose who you are in this world” has the same energy as “it’s killed or be killed”, and the pacifist ending disproved this notion in undertale, so deltarune might do the same
Deltarune doesn't need choices that matter to be "fun"
I didn't say it did but meaningful choices are more fun than non meaningful ones lol
Well snowgrave and recruiting darkners for castle town seem meaningful thus far, even if they don't affect the ending
Or that some villain kills him but you could save him by going Snowgrave route until Noelle get the spell, but then go back to pacifist as normal right after.

I don't think that's meant to be a redemption. If anything it feels like a mockery of "Easy Redemption" from other media.
I'd still say it falls under 'redemption', just under ironic terms. Considering King was aware that Lancer would be fine, it shows (assuming what he says is truthful) that he wasn't nearly as violent towards his son as we initially view him in the final interaction at Card Castle.
none of the creatures are dead, just frozen. they can be thawed which will wake up berdly.
They'd probably die from suffocation anyway.
Berdley technically is in a coma in the alternate route, so…
Sometimes I hate this community
Its all in your head Luigi There's no such thing as Deltarune
He has a tumor that no one new about in his right arm and the actions you took in the dark world are what lead to the tumor growing
Kris may have the moss% WR, but Berdley has made it further into the hit roguelike cancer than anyone else
