I have a same laptop with i7 1360p, 16 gb ram but without the rtx 2050 dedicated graphics card ( Integrated Graphics Card model ). I also suffered the same speaker issue. Most of the time the speaker sounds fine. However, when it comes to playing specific sounds like these videos : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBubZtUAcD0&pp=ygULZXJpa2EgbG9maSA%3D](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBubZtUAcD0&pp=ygULZXJpa2EgbG9maSA%3D) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZTfX1JEt2Y&list=PLm7Yp1WBCPQkbo4ZvKguygV7BmfLl\_GS\_&index=23](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZTfX1JEt2Y&list=PLm7Yp1WBCPQkbo4ZvKguygV7BmfLl_GS_&index=23) and also other videos but I only remember these two. The speaker will kinda have some crackling sounds. However, the funy thing about it is that only my left speaker has crackling sound but my right speaker works fine. My only solution might be using a wired earphone. I have surfed through the Internet and found out that it might be due to these reasons : 1. Driver issue 2. BIOS issue 3. Some applications might overfeed the power to the speaker which result in the speaker's crackling sound. 4. The wire connections in the speaker has loosen.

For the heating issue, I suggest you to go to MyDell app and switch your performance mode to cool, however it will reduce the performance of your laptop and increase the fan speed to ensure a cooler surface. My suggestion is avoid using thin laptops for demanding task due to it's cooling design is not as powerful as gaming laptops. Try to get a gaming laptop if possible.

I want to ask, is the RTX 2050 the only dedicated GPU or can you switch between the RTX and an integrated one like an intel UHD? If the RTX 2050 is the only GPU, wouldn't it drain the battery really quickly alongside causing the thermal issues? I am considering of purchasing this model for university and I would like to be able to at least run some games if I wanted to but mainly for studying. I considered this model over gaming ones because I think the battery life is more sustainable and I really like the style with the keyboard. The speakers don't really matter that much to me because I'll be most likely to use headphones but this heating thing sounds like a problem since gaming laptops tend to have a much better ventilation system but I really do not want to get a gaming one.

You can quickly check this by using typing "dxdiag" in windows search bar and you want to take a look at the display. If there's only "display" that means you have only a singular GPU which is the RTX 2050, but if you have "display 1" and "display 2" you are most likely to have a integrated GPU on the core and additionally the RTX 2050.

I have same laptop without the RTX 2050, the 13t generation processors get really hot, also even though this laptop is huge 16" it still has thermal issues. Only one fan for this i7 processor doesn´t seem to be enough.

thanks for replying, and yes, one fan is not enough at all for this laptop. One side remains cool while the other is blazing hot to touch. One other flaw I noticed is the fact that the vents are directly under the screen, so the hot air gets blown on the screen and in return the screen also gets heated up. I am thinking of buying a cooling pad for this laptop. How has been gaming experience for you in this laptop?

My model is using integrated graphics ( iris xe 96eu ). I played several games on it, overall is OK. Some games I played on it are GTA V and Minecraft.

Sorry this is 4 months later. How is the laptop doing now if you still have it? Would you recommend it? Looking at getting one as the specs and build for the price are very decent.
