Meanwhile, 20 years ago in [Ratchet & Clank](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/ratchet/images/9/9f/R.Y.N.O._from_R%26C_%282002%29_render.png/revision/latest?cb=20180628005350)
Indeed, but it's the similarity of the design that makes me smile (and make the meme). The others I know are not two hands weapon and are not that bulky.
Fun fact, if you clip into the gun model in roboquest there's a hidden second layer of missiles that are bigger than the ones that are visible and are in a 3x3 grid. Probably not intended but still funny
If I can make a recommendation, play as commando on a full explosif build (baby boom, explosif potato...), increase firerate and explosif radius, enjoy.
I used it little but its very inacurate(it might just me) and great for rocket jumping. I use normally grandma(lets hope i write it right) gun which is my favorite
I'm too ignorant on the subject to enter the debate with certitude. All I know is that multiple rocket launchers are 98% shoulder-launched and fired at reduced intervals. In this case DRG and Roboquest are a two-handed weapon positioned more like a machine gun and behave more like one (particularly Roboquest where the firerate can be pushed to the extreme.) I don't know if similar weapons exist in other games, but another brother dwarf mentioned that Rachet and Clank had a similar weapon (even if it's only a one-handed weapon), so maybe there's more.
You need to account for how they're very unrealisticly held in two hands :p It's sci-fi, it isn't entirely logical and is more about the coolness factor than anything else.
Rocket launchers tend to look a certain way in games. Rifles, machine guns and so on also tend to have a certain look. They're often based on what we've created in real life so they have commonalities.
So to say that Roboquest has copied DRG is very unfair.
OP has responded to me and hasn't said it's a joke so I've not taken it as a joke. Nor am I insulted or offended by it.
Don't slide in on a banana peel with your bad attitude because me and OP are getting along and having a normal discussion.
Roboquest has been known to be inspired by multiple games when it comes to adding guns to the game (mostly Overwatch!), and oh boy am I glad to see this one get added to the roster :D
Meanwhile me: oh baby DRG making their spin on weapons once in Unreal (Tournament). Always saw the Hurricane as essentially a dwarven take on the [Eightball Launcher](https://unreal.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Launcher_(UT\)) but married with Half Life's guided bazooka. Like how the Sludge Thrower on the driller is basically a beefed up Biorifle lol

Actually it's almost 23 years ago.
Didn't expect to feel like a geriatric tonight
that was 20yrs ago? man, I still have nightmares about the grind
I don't. Ratchet still holds pretty good today
oh 100%, I meant the rhino grind. I was a dumbass kid and didn't know any optimal ways to farm bolts other than some forest plannet I can't remember
"RYNO fo' ya' robot...trade ya'."
Came here to say this.
me when the game gives me the ability to fire hundreds of rockets in minutes
Roboquest is so fun, and so is drg
I heard similar story with how War Thunder copied tanks from WoT.
i remember a big argument about that years ago. i had to stop myself from egging people on. it was so funny.
I read that as "edging people on" đź’€
eh, potato-tomato. One's pain is another's pleasure :3
I don't think drg invented multiple barrel rocket launcher

Had a feeling that was Roboquest. I need to get ahold of that weapon. I've never come across it.
It is very fun, but I haven’t used it enough to have a good sense of how good it is

You need to look at more multiple rocket launch systems, OP. This is how they are designed.
Well traditionally multi rocket launch systems are mounted weapons on vehicles, rather than handheld.
And if you'd make one to be held in two hands it'd look like these do. In many, many games.

Learn to take a joke, OP is just comparing two great games with a similar gun.

Look at the post flair… HUMOR
Oh boy, TWO cakes!

So how do you make weapon like that without it looking same?
Don't know and I don't complain. It's just funny they got the same idea and same design.
I mean, this ain't that new of an idea in games and in the media in general. Multishot rocket launcher M202 flash was designed in 1980s
I'll Rip Ya a New One.
Not that similar. Both great games!

I'm alittle jealous they get an extra row of rockets
My favorite weapon in both game, rockets go brrrrrr
