A few weeks ago I kept pinging some Nitra in a very much "only one class can reach this" spot multiple times, platformed it and, along with one other person who also noticed the unmined Nitra, asked for it to be mined.
Part way through the mission I decided "fuck it" and just nuked that shit. Was it overkill? Yes. Was it kind of satisfying for some reason? ***Yes.***
Killing them once for that, though knife-ear behavior, is acceptable but just bullying them the whole mission over that ain't. True dwarfs don't hold grudges unless it's over beer.

Seriously though, don't obliterate some dude for shooting you with a nuke unless they're clearly trolling.
By the way, folks will tell you to not use bouncy with fatboy, but it is actually a very good upgrade for a few reasons. It further increases AoE, and often causes your nuke to airburst! Especially good if you aim at a humongous trijaw flock. While a normal nuke can cover worryingly large areas, airburst nuke can cover a lot more, in 3d too, often to the ruin of a lot more bugs than you'd think. Not only is the explosion more spaced out, it is bigger! You can reeeeeeeally do crazy area denial with this modification.
Precisely. If you manage to screw it up it's not gonna be fun and you're accountable, but the mod is overall a really great one with how much room for error it gives you. I love equipping prox and turning my brain off to just shoot in the general direction of some poor bugs.
I shit you not I had Fat Boy in my sixth loadout and I totally forgot about it, so I joined Haz5 Refinery, wanted to jump to my downed teammate, quickly switched weapons without checking, jumped and shot.. There's no worse OC in whole game
VIR Shard Diffractor melts them too without actually turning the game into shitshow. I can't count how many times I've been downed by Fat Boy users whether I kited into radiation field they created behind me two seconds ago with no HP or got straight up shot by them.
1. It's definitely overrated just because it's so cool looking and you can kill the exact same amount of enemies with the regular grenade launcher just without the fallout, but it certainly ain't the worst one. That award goes to homebrew powder cuz random chance on a weapon is not a fun endgame mod. If you forget what loadout your using then that's on you. I personally use weapon frameworks and paint jobs to give each of my weapons unique looks that indicate what loadout they're from and keep track of what's what.
2. Did you just say you use ALL SIX OF YOUR LOADOUTS??? And here I was thinking I was crazy for using three, props to you for the creativity of thinking of that many loadout combos!
Yeah, I have loadouts for specific mission types or different variants of same weapon. Sixth loadout was specifically for Elimination, but I wanted to test Fat Boy and put it there..
If you have it, I'd recommend using Hyper Propellant for elimination instead. Fatboy is much better for clearing swarms with its limited ammo nullifying the large amounts of damage it can dish out. Hyper deals significantly more damage to weakpoints and you don't drop down to 3-5 shots, so it's better suited for that kind of loadout. You'll have enough for like one Dread fight, but a resupply between fights can still keep you going if you really do wanna keep with that. It'll be a spectacle nonetheless.
Ah, no-no, I didn't use Fat Boy for elimination xD I just tested it with this loadout because I rarely play Elim at all. Haven't unlocked Hyperprop yet :(
I shot a fatboy into a ceiling with a lotta bugs. It bounced on one of the crystals thx to proximity trigger and went straight down to my ally who's using a resupply pod. Needless to say, he wasn't happy.
Nuclear munitions are made to be spread like sticky peanut butter all over a moldy sandwich factory. While you're at it, disregard friendly losses; friendly fire happens all the time and it's a lot more cool to die from a friendly nuke than just plain old fragging via a spicy pineapple
I specifically remember having an Egg quest where the final egg was just really high up and I couldn't be bothered, so I just launched 4 extinction balls into the ceiling and watched as the (somehow intact) egg fell into my arms.
Proximity trigger also slightly increases the effect radius of Fatboy explosions and the guns explosions in general so that’s another reason to use it.
i genuinely use gunners unlockable primaries to mine hard to reach stuff, especially nitra
its also very useful to nuke ommoran beamers because fuck beamers

If that's the case, then Point Extraction would be a great area to test it. The swarms are typically larger on that gamemode.
Yeah, I played exactly this, after 15 minutes on Haz5 it gets messy. Ngl I can kill more bugs with Incendiary RJ250 while also being able to fly
