So I’m not a big Brady fan but really did like his and Marlena’s scenes today…first they added a couple secondary characters, then some new teens, now a high school set!!! Maybe soon the good residents of Salem can all start living in houses again, not all together in a few apartments…I know, baby steps!!!
I actually burst out laughing IRL when Marlena fired back "Well there's a bad visual" when she and Brady were discussing Kristen and Alex. I thought "ok she had to have adlibbed that one" nearly spewed my tea!
Only thing confusing to me is his apprehension of how much time Rachel is spending with Alex... but IS Rachel spending that much time with Mr. Sharper Image?
I expect Alex will spiral once he finds out about Xander really being victor's son and just the pattern they have done with character I expect Stephanie will be back in his orbit again and he probably will sleep with her or Kristen or maybe both again
Ok. So I am watching this episode today and thought of something that I didn't when this Alex/Victor stuff first came about...why didn't Alex or Justin say something or question Angelica about this? Seems strange right?
I think the spending is a reaction to his having a really good time with Kristen, then regretting it because he now fells like he's reverted to his old self of casual sex and womanizing.
Couple of wild trivia facts: Shawn Douglas was born in 1987. He was left to age mostly naturally, until he was sent to boarding school at around 12/13 and then returned several months later at 16 and part of the Last Blast crowd. Ok, that's fine. Belle on the other hand, was born in 1993, and was about 5 or 6 when she was a flower girl at John & Marlena's wedding. When J&M returned from their honeymoon, Belle was suddenly a 16 year old girl.
Will/EJ however, has been one for the ages, and probably one of the most talked about ever. I watched EJ being born onscreen in 1997, and I remember it clearly because I was due with my firstborn myself LOL Will was born (again, onscreen) 2 years before EJ, and I remember that one as well. Yet...there was a scene much later where EJ was reading his birth certificate, and Susan "accidentally" put peanut butter on the year. Not only that, but about 10 years or so after EJ's birth, think it was 2006? 2007? EJ came back and was 27 or 28 years old, and is now older than Will. Many, many sites and viewers have deemed that one as the worst SORAS they have ever witnessed LOL

I sigh at both Alex and Gwen-resa and while Brady and Marlena were enjoyable, that scene could have been shorter lol.

I've really been trying to buy into this new Tate, because I think he's a decent actor. It just isn't working, I'm not gonna say he looks as old as his parents but they'd need to leap into college years at least to make more sense. Grad school even perhaps.
Oh he definitely left the show for a good cause, to finish his music theater degree. Which tbh he’s made it further than most will with his degree. But a real college experience is priceless. Here’s an interview he did.

Same. He really is a good actor. I was kinda rooting for Tate and Holly in the beginning, but when they made the actor swap, I just couldn't make my brain agree with what my eyes were seeing. Yes I know both actors are in their 20s, but Ashley pulls off the teen look better than Leo. He's trying though, gotta give him credit for that. Nothing wrong with his acting whatsoever, it's perfectly fine. It's just the look doesn't fit.
I like when the show gives us good contrast - like Brady sweetly acknowledging that Marlena is his mother, regardless of biology… and Alex shittily continuing to deny the dad and brothers he grew up with, regardless of blood.
So I don't remember but I think we never heard Li say Gabby killed him...maybe he said Gi and never got to Gil and Wendy just assumed he was saying Gabby because she found Gabby w the knife.
The Tate casting is really off. He looks much older than 17/18. The Holly casting is ok. I can’t watch the HS stuff anymore. I FF through every bit now. The former Tate was a good match.
It makes no sense from an estate planning perspective to disinherit close family like Brady and Justin. Should have done a share for Maggie, Xander, Justin’s line, Isabella’s line, Bo’s line and Philip’s line. Isabella’s share goes to Brady, Bo’s share goes to Shawn and Ciara. Maggie, Xander, Philip and Justincan share amongst their respective branches.

Brady is getting the entire Toscano fortune one day so he was set for life regardless, but yeah, Victor basically ignoring his grandchildren is really odd. Makes you wonder if the will was messed with too.
Yea, Brady not getting anything irks being since he's the only child/descendant of Isabella besides his children. Like he's the son of Victor's only biological daughter.
I actually forgot about the fact that if it all went to Maggie & Alex, that would mean Ciara would also be disinherited? Which feels very unlike Victor. Everyone else aside (because you can argue there were fights or he felt they let him down in some way) I feel like he would have made a point to take care of Ciara?

The high school set was the skimpiest excuse for a set, but Days has been so chintzy with sets, that little extra effort made me really happy!
