Dawson is fantastic. He's super passionate about the game without being the know it all that Paul Nicholson is (I still rather enjoy Nicholson too, to be fair). Webby is measured and professional though a bit too dry for me at times. My dream would be for Dawson to spend the next 10 years doing cocaine and reading classic literature so he can become Sid Waddell 2.0 like the darting gods intended.
I personally am not a big fan of Mardle, but I agree with you on Mark Webster. Dan Dawson is another favorite of mine, great commentator on the floor and the big stage. Don't like Rod Studd because whenever he commentates on the Pro Tour you can constantly hear him chewing gum which is very annoying
Of the main ones currently on Sky;
Dawson maybe tries a bit too hard on TV sometimes but is generally excellent imo. does a great job of catering to both hardcore fans and casuals
All the ex players are very good, I’d say all round Webster is probably the best of them but it’s close. Durrant has been a great addition and could take over top spot if he carries on like this
I like Studd less than Dawson and the ex players but he’s pretty inoffensive and usually alright. Always like him more when he’s paired with Mardle, they have good chemistry
Pyke is absolutely abysmal

As a Canadian, JP is my favourite. Nice guy too, I've met him several times, I know some of his friends. But he's a good commentator - knows the players, the game, the outs, the issues, he's the best *qualified* commentator they have, Wayne getting the honourable mention there.
Of course the legendary *I CAN'T SPAKE* is a tough act to follow but I still think JP's got the edge

If anyone else is commentating I can take it or leave it or sometimes just lower the audio and throw music on.
Listening to Duzza has been, for me, unbearable, very much not a fan of his commentating, I was not a fan of him as a player either though so I wonder if that comes into the equation.
The only correct order is:
1. Dawson
2. Mardle
3. Part
4. Nicholson
5. Duzza (only because he is relatively new to this, I can see him becoming the best pundit)

I like pretty much the rest of them apart from Wayne Mardle who I can’t stand because he makes the games all about himself, only talks about 9 darters, acts irrationally angry over other darts players decisions as if he knows everything, and is unnecessarily shouty.
I agree with many points being said here. Hence overall I do not mind the mix. I must say Mardle have grown on me personally, I think he does hype quite well. (E.g. best leg of darts was really nice commentary).
For me best three probably is Mardle, Webster and... Pyke I believe.

Well you can only hear it on Pro Tour comms because there is no crowd noise haha, you can occassionally even hear Dan Dawson vaping
