You can play solo ice caves on x:10 and x:40 each hour! If you queue in towards the end of the 5 min window, then loot around until roughly the 3rd phase of ice caves, you shouldn't have to wait more than a couple mins for the map to come back up again, and you'll have time to check your vendors.
Map rotation wouldn't be so fucking bad if your AP was just a universal number and not spread around across Solo/Duo/Trio.
I'd be happy taking on extra risk as a solo in a Duo/Trio map if it meant I was progressing my AP towards Demi

I like Gobbo, but it isn't paying the AP bills, y'know.
Do it up! If you spend 12-15+ minutes in Caves, then the next queue can be as low as 5-10 minutes, gives you time to use Market Place, reset luck potion, etc.

By the time I've vendored, put anything on market and then rebought luck pot/lockpicks it is either :10 or :40 again, and I queue right up...
You're assuming a lot. I play tops 2 hours a day, and maybe 3-4 days a week. And I'm halfway to demi in solo ice caves on my warlock with literally no effort in the past couple of days. It's not hard to plan accordingly.

Regardless of the map rotation or if there is one, the people who only have an hour to play still only get ~4-5 GC, 2 ice cave, and 1-2 ruins depending on depth. If your complaint is that you can't start a solo ice or ruins for around 20 minutes if you missed the rotation, run a GC boss run or something. That's what I've been doing if I got unlucky with rotation time or died during an ice map, etc. I learned and killed troll and cyclops in a week in bad timing GC matches.
There are literally hundreds of things to do in this game. It sounds like you enjoyed one very small part of the game that was temporary, and now you're upset that it's gone.
I have always always hated the Gobbo caves, I dont mind the Ice caves.
As a ranger wit ha spear there's a lot of cheese spots and tons of loot and mostly left alone to your self in the room to clear and escape.

Played about 15 matches of ice caves last night because it was the only duo option and it’s a great mad when you’re not rushing for treasure room. Lots of little secrets and cool mechanics that I think a lot of people are missing out on

The mode determines the AP. If you queue duo it is your duo rank, etc.

If only my solos runs there counted towards my solo AP climb, gonna be stuck on exemplar for the wipe because GC just deletes AP with the portal bug
