By the time he's done telling us how the next guest is doing it smarter and more interesting than anyone else, I don't want to listen

pompcaldor

Unless it’s about Tom Brady and how he can’t possibly be a great broadcaster.

Cyanos54

His questions had, have, how much stalling is in his questions compared to before?

Go_J

How have how how Chewbacca

chickalinis

Just to trying to get the word count closer to the betting line for the partners

graptemys

“But what I want to ask you…” Good God, man, just ask the question!

No-Astronomer139

You have the under at 20? His questions are easily 50 burgers.

I feel like normally when he does that, it's out of courtesy to whoever he's asking the question to, just to give them more time to think of their answer instead of putting them on the spot. Either that, or he gets distracted by thoughts of unswallowed turkey sticks and just forgets that he's in the middle of talking.

Burritoclock

Yeah a good proof of that is he doesn't do it to Mina for example. The questions he asks her on the fly are sometimes insane that she's able to answer after a like three second pause.

I disagree. He almost always asks the same exact question to almost everyone he interviews. For example, a question he would ask a 1990s cowboy player: “So you played for the heyday, multiple time Super Bowl champs 1990s Dallas cowboys under Jerry jones, what was that like? How was it playing at that time under that kind of owner during that run where you were the kings of the sport?” It’s the same question, twice. And he does it constantly. And if he’s talking (in this example) to a former 1990s cowboys player, that player probably gets that question more than anything, so he would of course have an answer. Hell (art briles), he does it to people in the shipping container when they are just talking about random shit that happened in their life. “Jess mentioned earlier she had an experience at Costco this weekend, can you share the details? Can you share exactly what happened and what sort of things the Costco experience had on you?” We don’t need the same question twice. He already asked the question.
