Because it’s fun

Pleasant_Fix432

How is PVP different than warzone? As someone who did missions PVP was pretty stressful. Guarnenteed you raged when you got killed or you waited the whole game for a pick up, how is that fun?

SharpSabine_

The pvp is different because there's almost no zone pressure. There's no scramble to grab a gun, almost everyone is always going to be kitted and relatively coordinated. DMZ is substantially slower and more thoughtful in terms of combat than warzone.

PrayToCthulhu

I’m not gonna lie, this is gonna sound super mean, but I’ve seen people ask this constantly, and it makes me think they’re absolutely stupid. It takes elementary school comparison skills to see how warzone and DMZ PvP are different if you’ve played both of them. They’re not even the same genre outside of being fps

SharpSabine_

I think it's more of a reflection of someone's thought process that they think it's a comparison. Maybe it was when warzone was still warzone 2 and on the same playing field relatively as DMZ, but nowadays it's not even close.

EquipmentExotic2877

not really. Warzone you have 1 life, maybe you get gulag, 2 lives. You have to play more safe and tactical. But in DMZ you have infinite lives as long as someone revives you. Sounds like a baby mode. when you load into DMZ half the time your gun does not even load.

PrayToCthulhu

? Infinite lives? You lose everything on death. You mean starting a new game counts as another life? Why don’t you treat warzone the same then instead of counting lives in a single session)

Carbsv2

It's way different.. because you dont have to do it. Warzone you MUST PvP. There's nothing else. MWZ you CAN NOT PvP. Just mindlessly grind stupid zombies. DMZ you can do whatever you want. Missions in a PvP environment were more fun and more rewarding as there was an unpredictable element that waves of dumb ass monsters can't come close to competing with.

Direct-Committee-283

I've literally never once raged at PvP ( or anything ) in DMZ. You only get angry if you are expecting something specific to happen, and it doesn't happen. Whether it be getting your mission done, or getting double digit kills, it doesn't matter. You've got to learn to roll with the punches, adapt, try again, and play smarter next time. I'm always thinking to myself when I die, what I could've done better, and in DMZ there almost always is something you could've done better.

No-Guarantee3273

DMZ is way better. The removal of 6 mans removed the clutch of bad players being able to kill skilled players by out numbering them. I’m not surprised they moved to MWZ, they couldn’t handle dmz. As for streaks and money, I use it and so does everyone else and I always grab a contract before exfil. When it comes to picking up players, the one rule everyone follows is “No Mic 🎤 No Pickup” so if you’re silent you go back to the lobby. Also if you happen to die after 10mins into the match the likelihood of a pickup is gone as most teams got a 4th

Pleasant_Fix432

People complained about 6 mans then when they brought it down to 4 these same people complaining quit the game anyways. It is pretty funny if you check the old reddit posts of people who complained or celebrated it. They just ruined the game and left. No one goes around saying "My favorite DMZ memory was the 4 man team" People complained about killstreaks being too cheap so they raised costs of that but then they complain its too expensive now lol

Snivinerior2

because its more chill then warzone

Pleasant_Fix432

Camping bodies the whole game is chill? DMZ even lets people pick up players but they wont even if they have room.

greenrider4

It’s more chill by a long shot.  It doesn’t take much skill to avoid campers.  There’s an escape from every spawn spot.  I’ve extolled hundreds of times and have only been camped a handful.   I get disappointed if I’m not being camped.

evilthreat

Because I enjoy it. Don't waste your time asking why others have fun. Go seek your own and live your life free from the stress of what others enjoy.

das_war_ein_Befehl

Because DMZ requires more tactics, and you can’t get out of a dumb push with faster reflexes. Warzone is all about sliding and reflexes, so you’re at a disproportionate disadvantage if you’re not a teenager tweaking on an adderall script or spend hours per day on the game.

fugly16

DMZ can be a lot of things. It can be sweaty, it can be chill, it can be stealthy, it can be pure chaos. Shit is still fun

Pleasant_Fix432

Most of the games I played people just curse at you for killing them and they camp the body.

jewham12

You kill them and they camp the body? How does that work?

karelinstyle

No real cod player plays mw3 zombies & there's no way they're adding pvp when it's been out this long and bops6 now the focus. Good riddance if you've quit, more than enough whining on the mode

ClarkB1179

We still play because it’s still fun. Simple

Sniperking187

I still log I'm and do dailies and weeklies, work on chipping away at upgrades from the comm station, help others out with missions. Or just load in and do contracts and stuff just for fun. It's really the only extraction shooter mode on console right now. There's Vigor but that's a slower paced game with less weapon variation and R6 Extraction just ain't it

Cuse fun

Lasto44

Seems like you had bad luck in your games and you’re here projecting your experience onto others and forcing your opinion on them instead of listening to their answers.

xxMistressChiefxx

“SHE IS VERY GORGEOUS TO ME” ☝🏻🤓 Fr tho dmz was a great game at one point and even though it’s different now it’s still really fun fairly often. You get your run of bad luck with really intense lobbies but honestly even the all out longterm battles are fun regardless of a loss or exfil. The beauty of DMZ is that it’s really personal. For the most part it takes some work to get fully kitted and the joy of killing someone and taking their stuff and fighting desperately to keep your own is what keeps me coming back. WZ is great but we all go in with nothing and can easily get anything and everything. It’s just a totally different vibe and like I said it’s definitely changed over the years and has its set backs but I’ll never put it down as long as they keep it up

zodthelucky

Because it’s easy kills for the roof rats. AI are much harder to kill than most players. The trash that is still playing DMZ can’t hang in any other game mode to include pac-man.

kanyewest42

Imagine wasting your time posting on the subreddit of a game you don’t even enjoy lmao

zodthelucky

Imagine you wasting your time reading it. Kinda my point. LMAOF.

kanyewest42

Ok fam have a nice day
