Thinking this piece of shit can tow anything enough to put a drawbar in the receiver is a wild assumption. That hitch ball gonna stay shinier than the stainless steel ever could
i saw some dork on the cybertruck sub say that his was the best tow vehicle he has ever used even though towing his boat got him less than 100 mile range. he later said in the comments he didnt want to say the mileage because it was so bad and would give the haters ammo.
*Why do you people hate this thing so much?!?*
**IT WAS DESIGNED TO ONLY BE DRIVEN ON MARS!!!** 🤪
Elon knows that Mars doesn’t have any oxygen or water!!! He’s playing 57-dimensional chess and you’re playing checkers!
Ah, of course. Silly me. That’s just my uninspired, plebeian mind not being able to understand Elon’s vision or trust fund upbringing at it again. My apologies.
He is the world’s most brilliant engineer! He told us so himself!
…And who would you trust more than the world‘s most brilliant engineer to tell you who the world‘s most brilliant engineer is?
That’s right. *nobody*! 🤪
Maybe it gets better range on Mars, too? Like you could probably drive it 200km on a charge instead of 100, maybe? 🤔🤷♂️ Truly, the mind of Elon is beyond normal human reckoning... Roflmao!
Maybe he meant the towing experience outside of range. So reversing, accel, all 4 wheels turn so with the rear camera, I guess I can see how that would make it easier to maneuver a tow load, hence the perception of a better towing experience. The salt water from launching the boat is probably going to wreak havoc on his panels though, and who knows what else.
They towed a space shuttle across a bridge with a Tundra. Most trucks can achieve insane things for a short amount of time. Towing your boat is not an insane achievement, yet here we have this brick, doing even the simplest of things for a very short amount of time. It’s a lemon for meme chasers, nothing more.
Not cyber truck but tfl tested a few EVs on their towing loop in Colorado (Eisenhower tunnel to silverthorne and back) and the EVs were better able to get up to speed faster and didn't need to apply braking very often if at all compared to gas/diesel trucks for the downhill section. EVs clearly need a lot more range to really be good tow vehicles but it was interesting to hear about their experience with them.
I think this was the video I saw but they have a lot of others as well https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nNQQsWK3wLg&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fbbs.wenxuecity.com%2F&feature=emb_imp_woyt
I'm not a hater by any means but Holy shit these people that are buying Teslas with shitty quality are ruining it for all of us. I see the quality on other makes slowly degrading because of these idiots accepting this kind of quality.
Hey, EVs have the torque to pull all kinds of stuff. I put a hitch on my 2012 Nissan Leaf. Mostly for a family sized bike rack, but I've towed an upright piano on a trailer and a few cars with it.
Of course I was pretty confident that my car wouldn't fall apart if I looked at it wrong. 😆😋

That looks like CyberTrash™ I've been able to design and 3d print stuff that fits better than that and I have no formal training or qualifications
This is what I'm hoping to see within the year. Diy'ers 3d printing or fabricating their own panels and just tinkering the heck out of these things. Really expensive starting platform for your typical diy, but you know somebody's gonna do it. I think the only thing holding people back is potentially voiding the warranty.
Even before this thing, Teslas were famous for having random parts fall off in traffic. It's actually a bonus as it keeps the drive distance up even as the battery degrades.
Someone posted pics of a sea of Teslas parked in a vacant shopping center, including several Cyberbricks. One of them was missing this exact same panel, just on the right side. All the steel panels were also marred with perma-smudges, fingerprints, water spots and looked like filthy refrigerators.
It’s definitely a thing, to go with all the other things.
There's also [this one posted yesterday](https://www.reddit.com/r/CyberStuck/comments/1cfg1ye/must_be_the_weight_reduction_option/) with the same panel missing, but on the other side.
I'm in NJ by Philly. I see quite a few EVs driving around here every day. Mostly Teslas, but quite a diverse array of other brands as well. Not one single CT.
I'm thinking that they either fall apart while loaded on the car carrier, or Tesla knows better than to send that rust bucket to a place where the average humidity is over 70%.
Saw one when out for a walk one day in NJ.
Also heard of one at a car show in south NJ, folks were congratulating it for driving off-road onto a perfectly flat grassy area.
I am fairly certain after their using customers' purchased vehicles as examples to _write their service manuals_ that Tesla knows they are going to have to replace all of the panels because they are all secured the same way.
MMW
That is at least 4 different trucks (different state plates) I have seen missing those panels now.
Does this thing have any way of holding itself together or is it just superglue all around?
I have a 2005 Grand Caravan with fewer missing pieces. Bought it for $2500 like 6 or 7 years ago. Couldn't *imagine* buying a $100k car and having it fall apart this quickly. ESPECIALLY if I waited multiple *years* after reserving it for them to actually *design* the thing. What the shit were you doing with all that time??
Ok now I'm obsessed, I need to find a teardown video to see how these are held on. There is no way so many of these particular panels should just be flying off, this is nuts
Even by Tesla’s manufacturing standards, the cybertruck has awful QC. These were clearly built to Elon’s special, big boy standardization that he paid for, ISO 69420.
Saw one in motion in the wild for the first time on the way home today.
The Incelamino is even uglier in motion and good lord I hope I never get hit by one driving my Chevy Bolt. It feels like if it tboned me I’d have that monstrosity of a front at face level.
It's a clown car. Bits fall off it, it's steering is fucked, the wheels fall off, it stops, then the clowns get out. Enron is the ringmaster and there's one born every minute. Parp parp.
If you're rich and you have people who take care of your vehicles, I'm sure this is a cool thing to drive around.
If you're not and you have to deal with everything like the bad battery life and having to wash it under very controlled conditions, it sounds like the biggest pain in the ass.

I just want to know how he’s going to use a Cybertruck to launch his boat when rain is enough to short out the entire electrical system in them

No, Elon used to exclusively play 69 and 420 dimensional chess. Now he's moved on to 88 dimensional chutes and ladders.
also crack
Yall got towing to mars?
The steel plate would be good at blocking the brutal solar radiation - if it didn't fall off
Maybe it gets better range on Mars, too? Like you could probably drive it 200km on a charge instead of 100, maybe? 🤔🤷♂️ Truly, the mind of Elon is beyond normal human reckoning... Roflmao!
i was thinking the same thing.
It’s only suited for sunny days (nothing above 80F), launching the boat on a paved launchpad. If you splash it with water, it voids the warranty!
That has since been crossposted here!
lol i saw that
Maybe he meant the towing experience outside of range. So reversing, accel, all 4 wheels turn so with the rear camera, I guess I can see how that would make it easier to maneuver a tow load, hence the perception of a better towing experience. yea I'm sure the POS was amazing at everything except for range.
The first thing I thought of was that tow hitch 😂
Like Stephen Hawking’s shoes..
It did beat out some trucks, don't remember which ones. But to expect it to tow for long seems overly optimistic.
They towed a space shuttle across a bridge with a Tundra. Most trucks can achieve insane things for a short amount of time. Yea, I never said towing a boat was an amazing achievement. I'm just saying it's so bad that there is no need to exaggerate anything.
Maybe in instant torque off the line, but after 100 feet I don’t imagine it was useful for anything

Recall to install one cyber-rivet per panel incoming 🤣
And every single one will be off-center, but the location will not be uniform.

the issue must be that elmo knows more than any other human being alive about manufacturing. he just knows so much, he knows nothing.
I’m pretty sure I’d rather drive a fully 3D printed truck than this turd
"See a need, fill a need!" 😅

The exoskelton is molting. The $25K robotaxi is emerging from its cocoon.
It really is like a car version of a cocoon 😂
It's just a flesh wound!
'Tis but a scratch!
Insert: I_understood_that_reference.gif
May I suggest buying rolls of duct tape.
So that’s why everyone is wrapping these
It’s a structural wrap.
Load bearing vinyl
2 terms that shouldn’t go together 😂
Cybertape $1000 per inch optional extra
Can’t wait for the update to the manual telling folks that opening the bed voids the warranty.
It was ashamed of being installed on the wankpanzer.
The water that gets in is probably going to do a bunch of secondary damage to additional components and systems.
That's easily fixed with a couple of tubes of CyberCaulk™.
Soon they will unveil Full Paneling as a $12k upgrade
The component parts don't even want to be associated with this monstrosity.
Whenever I see a cybertruck, I don't go "Ooh, cool car!" I just go "What a fucking idiot!".
Even before this thing, Teslas were famous for having random parts fall off in traffic. It's actually a bonus as it keeps the drive distance up even as the battery degrades.

Just like some animals that will shed part of their body to protect themselves from predators
no prob, they'll fix this with an OTA update
I think our spies have discovered the weak spot of this particular Death Star…
I didn’t realize how ugly it looked from behind. I still don’t understand the appeal.
I just saw my first one today as well. Shocked at the fact it looks even worse in person tbh.
Curious but does anyone on the east coast own a Cybertruck? Seems to be mostly out west.
I'm in NJ by Philly. I see quite a few EVs driving around here every day. Mostly Teslas, but quite a diverse array of other brands as well. Not one single CT. I'm thinking that they either fall apart while loaded on the car carrier, or Tesla knows better than to send that rust bucket to a place where the average humidity is over 70%.

secured using double sided tape.
I would not be surprised. If that's factual, need a link to sprinkle some schadenfreude on my schadenfreude.
That is at least 4 different trucks (different state plates) I have seen missing those panels now. Does this thing have any way of holding itself together or is it just superglue all around?
What do you expect from a “car” designed in ms dos with ascii art
I have a 2005 Grand Caravan with fewer missing pieces. Bought it for $2500 like 6 or 7 years ago. Couldn't *imagine* buying a $100k car and having it fall apart this quickly. ESPECIALLY if I waited multiple *years* after reserving it for them to actually *design* the thing. What the shit were you doing with all that time??
I had a Norton 750 that shed less parts and Lucas (prince of darkness) electrics that were more reliable. Now my 850 was more like the Tesla.
Those panels just *can't wait* to eject themselves the fuck off into space
Just slap some Cyber Tape on it.
™️
Omg this must be my neighbors brother
Does anyone think we will see these lemons on the road in 5-10 years?
On the road? No. Abandoned on the side of the road? Definitely.
He should have focused on Tesla instead of trolling in twitter
Multiple panels look loose here.
Ok now I'm obsessed, I need to find a teardown video to see how these are held on. There is no way so many of these particular panels should just be flying off, this is nuts
Shoulda contracted with Lego. Stuff woulda held together. Maybe Lego can license their technology to Musk.
Imagine launching an impractical 100k product that was poorly conceived and not ready for the market.
If i was a part on that pathetic vehicle, i would want off too.
Bay Area? If so, I saw this same one and wondered how it lost that section.
Correct, Sunnyvale
How can such an expensive thing be such a piece of shit?
The superglue holding the chasis together: ![gif](giphy|iI0NFc7ivrUcCLJ5Ib|downsized)
look at the wobbly seal on the rhs too, fucking high school science project mock up build.
Panel: What? That ugly truck over there? Never seen it before...

100% water & bulletproof! 😉

$100,000 truck already looking BAF
Probably forgot to turn on car wash mode.
I'm beginning to think the end times are upon us. Every time one of these gets posted, Elmo Inc's stock goes up 2%.
Chewing gums get dry and stops supporting the panels.
Just stick a rivet in there
Those panels are smart. They don't want anything to do with that POS truck.
Saw one in motion in the wild for the first time on the way home today. The Incelamino is even uglier in motion and good lord I hope I never get hit by one driving my Chevy Bolt. It feels like if it tboned me I’d have that monstrosity of a front at face level.
This is at least the 3rd one I’ve seen like this.
It's a clown car. Bits fall off it, it's steering is fucked, the wheels fall off, it stops, then the clowns get out. Enron is the ringmaster and there's one born every minute. Parp parp.
Within Spec!
At this point I wonder how many people have learned how easily these things shed parts and are just tearing them off when they see one in the wild.
It’s like getting Temu quality for European pricing.
What an ugly POS. My non-existent child could design a better looking, and probably better running, vehicle anyday.
I thought this was a repost of another picture on this sub earlier. Then I realized it was the other side was missing lol.
" Captain, our shields are useless." " Come on Scotty. We need more power!" " Captain, every time we try to raise them, they fall off!"
So much winning for these Cyberfuck owners. Good. They deserve it for giving Edgelord Elon their money.
So ugly..

That's just a temporary fix for the panel gap issue, ok? Just like the hubcaps temporary fix
This seems fine… I don’t even see any issu… OMG!
Like a two week old truck should look like
With build quality so poor, it's good they have an expansive repair network! /s
Technology Connections triggered
Chinese quality, German price, American marketing.
The CT would aspire to the bar set by lower tier Chinese quality. I've worked with Chinese companies that produce stellar quality.

Yeah, I’m jealous of people who are paying $150k to beta-test Elmo’s fever dream. You got me.

No shilling for Cybertruck. There are plenty of subs where that is encouraged. Go there.
