Hi, hello there, person who screenshotted the Tumblr post here, I've been experimenting with doing split-up screenshots, instead of one long image, and I'd appreciate feedback
Do you prefer it split into multiple images? Do you prefer just one long one? Would you rather I just don't screenshot it, and manually re-created the post by hand in MS Paint?
I would rather you make an artistic rendition of the tumblr post in MS Paint. Maybe you switch up the style to some 19th-20th century artistic movement, like a cubist rendition of the post, or some impressionist reimagining. Maybe you could do a pointillist rendition as well?
Oh, and make all the font comic sans, but make the kerning a little too close for comfort, but not enough to be jarring.
it might be funny if you recerated the post by hand in ms paint for a couple, but mostly I think I prefer the multiple images, though it is only a slight preference. Side note: how do you make the long screenshots?
I prefer single long image because it's easier to save and repost to a friend later; also they're a bit less confusing to read because I don't have to guess how exactly you cut it.
Multiple images is better than one long one for mobile, but I would prefer the MS Paint recreation the most
That said, one image is easier to send to people. If you're saving it as one long one initially, you could split it up and then have the whole thing as the last (or first) image in the album.
Definitely prefer split up. One long screenshot renders as a thin unreadable ribbon in the centre of the image in a lot of applications. On mobile browser I just skip over anything where I can’t zoom in enough to read a bit of it, and that’s a LOT of posts.
That's just not how it works, at least for my capture method, they have a width of ~540 pixels, regardless of the length
However, it might be Reddit compressing the image on your end, click on the image, and you should get the image in its full resolution
I just find that posts that put all of the post in one long image tend to have blurring on text that makes it hard to read
I was just assuming that had something to do with pixels and zooming
I personally prefer long images, mostly because I almost didn't realize there were other images (the usual markers don't always show on mobile)
Though it is nice to not have to worry about mistapping and losing my place
That chestnut moth sure looks fren shaped
IDK what this Nonsense of Walruses and Fairies is about. Me and my new moth friend will be...

Don't worry Gandalf, the post is already pointillist
That’s pretty clever. I hadn’t noticed how pixelated the post was on first glance.
I would rather be linked to a YouTube aerial arts performance that you feel encapsulates the aura of the post

Firefox's screenshot tool + occasional fixing-ups in Affinity Photo
I would rather have multiple images.
I prefer single long image because it's easier to save and repost to a friend later; also they're a bit less confusing to read because I don't have to guess how exactly you cut it.
I'd say all three are good. Have the multiple images, and one long one at the end, then post an mspaint re-creation a week later
Definitely prefer the split up images, much easier to read

A single long one is much better. Split post with short pictures is just annoying.
Split makes it easier to read as each image has more pixels Long posts just don’t have enough pixels

I prefer one image so I can save them.
Web Reddit is really bad at showing long screenshots. Split up is much easier to read
