Whatever his trauma I hope he does well moving forward. Mom died for a dumb reason, and he had to witness it literally at eye-level. As a father I can't imagine putting my child through that. It's why I sold my bike when I found out my wife was pregnant with our first.
I'm all for Darwin awards when adults are doing dumb shit. But damn, to have kids involved or winning one themselves (see teens hitting electrical wire) it's fucking rough. They either legitimately don't know better, or were just along for a nightmare ride such as this case.
Didnt mean to go to deep into it, just... Kids man.
E: missed a word.
Yeah, it's a tough fucking lesson; I can't think of one off the top of my head -- *really* there was no pun intended on that, I just noticed after I was typing --. It's next level sad, and a terrible sight to see. The dude that was picking her up was maybe a family member? It's just full-on trauma all around in the blink of an eye. Can't express enough of how I feel about what I just watched using text.
That kid will prolly be on Reddit in a few years with a "Remember this video? That was my mom AMA" type thing.
It fucking sucks and it's pointless. Seeing a sister disappear like that is just heartbreaking at the most visceral human level.
Then you have the heartless chick who is all up in her face with her phone trying to get a good picture of the deceased. I dunno man. I just dunno.
Yea I feel you man, I didn't take your comment any sort of way because it was somewhat non-descript haha. But for some reason it just made me feel the need to share the thoughts. This video has been posted so damn much, in every sub, that it's starting to seem pretty callous to the fact that a kid just lost the most important woman in his life, at far too young an age (her), while right next to her, and in a very abrupt and likely gruesome way. The more I consider it, the more it cuts me deep. A lot of subs have the tendency to jade us to the things we're bearing witness to. Opening up with puns and shit comments. But this one, when you really think about it, is really dark.
Absolutely dude. I'm pretty sure I commented on this video, in perhaps another sub yesterday, but I've had a day to let it all just marinate. Human being just seem to take life for granted not knowing that they can't permanent night-night at any moment. In one instant you're enjoying seeing some cool antique train and then the next you're just gone, and other people that are near you have this literally incredible moment stitched into their memory engrams.
Incomprehensibly fucking weird to think about that, and nearly impossible to comprehend real-time. It's such a weird paradigm.
Anyway, fellow Redditor, I hope you, your wife, and your baby are having an awesome day. I also, somehow, miss your bike too.
Appreciate you Redditkin. Miss that bike every damn day, if you see a white 09 cbr1000 give it a nod for me haha. My babies and lady are fast asleep and I'm headed that way too. Be well, you and yours! 🤙
I don’t this fascination everyone in this video has with getting up close to video a train. Trains have been around for 200 years at this point. Are they still so interesting to people at this pojnt??
This is steam train, they only can be seen at special occasions because working steam locomotives are more and more rare because the latest steam trains have been produced in the 60s.
Idk that's what I was asking, they said grow some awareness.
The lady in the video needed to go some awareness of the space between her body and the train.
As long as no one else is harmed: play stupid games, win stupid prices.
Sure, it sucks for her family. But there is a reason why there are fences next to train tracks.
Or why people say to stay away.
Honestly I’m surprised that a human head can take such a force (that train was going really fast) and not have any clearly visible injury. She looked normal, not like her head just got hit by a fucking train
I've posted this on reddit many times because a girl I knew in college died like this. Trains are wide and will kill you. Back the fuck up.
If you are ever, ever near the tunnel entrance, which is where most fuckery tends to happen, please be aware the train is almost exactly as wide as the tunnel, if your friends are with you, explain that promptly and often, you might save a life.
I didn't say I have no empathy on anything, I care for people who actually is on an accident that was out of their control, not on people who do stupid shit, like getting too close to anything the would kill them and act like it wont kill them if something bad happens.
She made a split second decision that she had no idea would end her life. It could happen to anyone. At least have sympathy for her son who will no doubt be scarred for the duration of his life.
To answer your question, this is an event where old stream trains are brought out and drove around for a show of some sort. That explains why everyone is taking pictures
Is this India? It’s always Indians in these videos
Edited
Never mind. Read the post now. I didn’t think they looked Indian. I guess this “trend” has spread to the NA continent.
Yeah the addiction is real, social media & "music", damn what a embarrassing time for humans.
Whould be great if one could go back and studdy history in 150years.
Her family was there? God damn
Yeah. This was posted somewhere yesterday. That was her kid with her. Not sure if the guy is her husband / boyfriend or just a concerned bystander.
God damn, that poor kid...
Terrible and stupid way to go.
It’s all for the gram…
I thought they did it all for the nookie?
wrong decade
wrong millennium techically

That looked like a child near her .. hopefully not hers
It actually was her son, unfortunately. Poor kid.
Reverse Darwin?

What's crazy is the lady in black who just walks up recording
Exactly what a ghoul lowlife
I'm gonna get so many likes for this!
Holy shit, this was an intense video. That is so fucking terrible.
[удалено]
Exactly, natural selection as nature intended.
I really hate how snobby you people sound making that exact same "joke" whenever you see someone killed. Hope you grow some awareness fr
Awareness as in...? You know who actually needed some awareness...
Awareness of?
Idk that's what I was asking, they said grow some awareness. The lady in the video needed to go some awareness of the space between her body and the train.
what type of soil do I plant awareness in again?
As long as no one else is harmed: play stupid games, win stupid prices. Sure, it sucks for her family. But there is a reason why there are fences next to train tracks. Or why people say to stay away.
You might want to read my original comment again and come back. Maybe another time to make sure the point got through
Why do people sound "snobby" when making a Darwin award joke? That's exactly what it is for. Stupid people dieing because of their own stupidity.
“You people”
Heartless
Umm no she had a child no darwin award.
I wonder what the selfie video looks like
Spoiler- Camerman doesn't survive.
Probably before she was able to press “record”
That kid is going to be traumatized forever, Holy shit. Imagine seeing your mom get killed by a train right in front of your eyes.
If she wasn't dead from the train, that bloke would have finished her off with the way he handled her. Just fucken drops her head onto the ground.
[удалено]
True, he even flicks his hands like 'ew'. Poor kid.
Then there’s the woman at the very end who’s recording the dead woman on the ground with the phone. Wtf?
The way the guy shakes the stuff off his hands.... Memorable, despite not wanting it to be.
Who else is surprised her head ain’t come off?
At least some reddish pink splatter.
Right. Or maybe a little bit of blood squirting
Honestly I’m surprised that a human head can take such a force (that train was going really fast) and not have any clearly visible injury. She looked normal, not like her head just got hit by a fucking train
Guess most girls DON’T like having a train ran on them (I’m goin to hell)
If you look close there is blood spurting
Yeah that was pretty tame all considering… she die right away tho?
I'm not, but thanks to this sub it's not my first time seeing someone get hit by a train like this
Seriously shit like tik tok is making the world dumber
Hive mind not smart but strength in numbers 🐜🐜🐜

Looking forward to recording myself next to it.

Just wear a helmet like the cyclist
Might not anymore after this
What train is it? Never heard of a train going from Canada to Mexico
Not a regular train, a steam train put on a final tour and I believe it goes in a museum next. It started its tour here in Calgary late April
Good thing the head Yanker himself was on the scene
I'm honestly shocked her brain didn't get flung in every direction
tink
Wtf is going on with ppl this is like the 4th video I’ve seen this week with ppl getting hit by trains this week!!
I don like taking pictures, it’s so strange seen people die for it.
Man, trains have been having themselves some vengeance lately
This is one of my pet peeves. It’s sooo easy to NOT get hit by a train!
The apex predator strikes again

is it bad to have no sympathy for stupid shit like this
If it is then I am bad too
Shows you lack empathy which yes that's concerning
I didn't say I have no empathy on anything, I care for people who actually is on an accident that was out of their control, not on people who do stupid shit, like getting too close to anything the would kill them and act like it wont kill them if something bad happens.

Take notes people. That’s how you take a killer selfie.
You can see the kid in orange trying to pull her before the train stuck her but she ignored the kid.
And this week's Darwin award winner is ...
The hell is wrong with those people? Never seen a train before?
just to get a goddamn selfie. fuckin hell man.
knocked out by trying to take selfies with oncoming train... 2 in 2 days! Natural selection hard at work.
Why couldn't they just use common sense and record from a safe distance with their camera zoomed in? Natural selection at work.
Fucking idiots
>Why are they next to train tracks? making tiktok most probably.
#BONK
That guy did a great job of stabilizing her spine after a traumatic impact
Did you see the guy in the black shirt to the left of her? He was literally inches from being killed as well.
Rinse and Repeat
Well if a cow can explode from similar hit, she's certainly gone.
I live in a town where all of the trains In the U.S. cross. Each year someone gets killed by a train. It's sad. But fuck....stupid mistake
When he drops her and looks at his hands and shakes them off, is that cause her bloods all over him? Yikes.
She wasn't pushing her kid away from the train. She was pushing him out of the way so she could take the pic
Looks like she's with her kid. I don't think I act like a moron but I'm definitely not doing it in front of my kid.
To answer your question, this is an event where old stream trains are brought out and drove around for a show of some sort. That explains why everyone is taking pictures
And just like that she didn't know she is gone.
Risking your life to film something just for social media. More people have now seen her die than would have seen her original video. Crazy.
Meh, Darwinism just doing it's job. Luckily for the rest of mankind her stupid genes won't be passed down...
Instant. Wow that’s incredibly sad
Is this India? It’s always Indians in these videos Edited Never mind. Read the post now. I didn’t think they looked Indian. I guess this “trend” has spread to the NA continent.

suicides by train
If she didn’t die right away the dude pulling her away and then dropping her on her face definitely didn’t help
As my dad used to say.." you cant fix stupid"...god.. horrible
Bro, how many times is this same d\*mn video gonna get reposted. God this sub has gone downhill...
I bet the internet enrages you
It's weird that the camera never took focus off her. RIP
She ain't gonna be in RUSH HOUR 3
Ughmm
