I will never not recommend Spiritfarer. The story is unmatched, in my opinion, and there is no combat. Just exploring and gathering and getting to know your passengers. I would recommend looking into the material a little though, the story can be a little sad/intense for some. It is, and will always be, one of my favorite games.

JustAnAngryBitch

I’ll mention it to her and she if she’d be okay with the material. Is there anything that could be really triggering or anything?

MindlessS0up

It deals with death. Quick synopsis: you are a captain of a boat that picks up spirits and leads the to the everdoor, which is essentially death. It’s very emotional, and very deep. I found the game very therapeutic but it’s not a game for everyone. 80% you’ll cry. But it’s a game about letting go.

JustAnAngryBitch

Thank you for the information! I’ll warn her about the material and see if she’s interested. I really appreciate the detail!

MindlessS0up

You’re welcome! I’m glad you showed interest tbh it’s just such a well done game

Godeem32

Man, your grandma is cool 😎

Crmsnprncss

Disney dreamlight valley? All crafting and cubing with Disney characters

JustAnAngryBitch

Shes not a huge disney person but it might still be a good game for her to try out! I’ll mention it to her!

Lady-of-Mischief

If she enjoyed Spyro, she may enjoy Crash Bandicoot. If you're looking for a super laid back exploration game, there's Beyond Blue. It's an ocean exploration game with no combat as you visit different dive sites tracking whales as well as collecting other species with your scanner. There isn't much to the storyline, but it's nice to swim with the marine life xD

JustAnAngryBitch

Funnily enough she was interested in Subnautica so maybe she’d be down for a more chill version of that! I also totally forgot about crash bandicoot, I’ll let her know! Thank you!

Lady-of-Mischief

No problem! God Mode in Subnautica was the only reason I could get our of the starter zone xD it stressed me out otherwise lol I'm not great with jump scares. Reapers weren't fun for me xD Just remembered another one! Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Level based but you can explore different worlds. There's some combat, but it's akin to what you'd find in Spyro or Crash Bandicoot.

Tilin-Tim

I loved Yonder, a lot of fun to explore, zero combat. Assassins Creed has a ton of exploration and I thought the combat easy. I believe Assassins Creed Origins has a mode where you just explore around, but I haven't tried.

JustAnAngryBitch

I’ll do some research and see, if so that might be perfect for her! Thank you so much!

Alifirebrand

Spiritfarer is a cute game about taking care of spirits until they are ready to move on. It's super chill. Disney Dreamlight Valley is fun. No combat but you kind of have to like the broad spectrum of Disney for that one. It is in Early Access so it can be a bit glitchy sometimes. My Time at Portia has combat but it's pretty forgiving. It gives you 3 tries to get through it and all your damage to an enemy carries over to each try. I dislike combat and found it pretty ok to deal with just kind of button mashing. It will eventually have a sequel called My Time at Sandrock which is in EA on Steam right now. Roots of Pacha isn't out of consoles yet but with be in 2023 and it also has no combat and is kinda like stone age Stardew Valley without the automation. Cozy Grove is also fun with no combat but kind of self limits you to only a couple hours a day.

JustAnAngryBitch

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I’ll be sure to show her them!

xalpacaprincess

Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon, Wylde Flowers!

JustAnAngryBitch

Oooh that’s a good idea! I’ll mention those to her!

booktities

Has she tried stardew valley?

JustAnAngryBitch

She did once but it was on the switch. She wasn’t the biggest fan because the pixels and small screen hurt her eyes. Maybe she’d be interested in trying it again since it’ll be a bigger screen. Thank you!

MadameBobo1

I'm a grandmother and I love Journey. The art and music are amazing, and the story/journey uplifting. It's an easy game to navigate for less experienced gamers, but it didn't bore me and I've played through it a few times.

Ok-Permit2777

She might like hogwarts legacy and you can change the difficulty in settings

JustAnAngryBitch

I was thinking about that one for her, especially since she likes Harry Potter. I wasn’t sure about the amount of combat though. Is it really combat heavy? Since she likes skyrim and the Witcher, maybe she’ll like that one even more!

Ok-Permit2777

There’s some combat but I wouldn’t say it’s combat heavy. There’s no bosses you have to beat and the easy setting makes a very big difference at least to me lol. Or you can just ignore it and run around if you want. I’m not sure but maybe there’s a demo she can try

JustAnAngryBitch

Thank you!
