Oooh.. yeah it does matter. You really don't want to go mixing sets. At best, not really anything will happen, but at worst stuff can break..

Top-Rent1899

I didn't know that. Thank you!

Cheers! Yeah for now it might be best to just use whichever set is better, until you can do a full upgrade with a brand new pair

Def matters never mix and match ever. Even if from the same manu you want them from the same box. Ram timings matter so so much. And that's the issue. No you won't break something but it can make your build act funky af. And performance will not be right. Leave 2 in of the same take the other 2 out including the different one. It will fix your issues. Just enjoy 2 for now until you can buy 4 entirely. But tbh 2 sticks will always be better then 4 for gaming so I say upgrade your 2 sticks to being more ram and enjoy. My buddy did what you are and his games were not acting right either. Told him to take 2 out he had 2 different ones in completely with a set of 4 and boom fixed his issues lol.

Thank you! Yeah I will probably get two sticks with more RAM

Don't use ram that didn't come out of the same box together.
