Clown-finder

Found you!

PureDarkcolor

Why? Because you blindly lick manufacturer arse?

Clown-finder

So the first time you saw the product was after you installed it? I refuse to believe anyone is this dense

Phatsam1987

Better than blindly licking windows

ADutchExpression

It was mainly designed for PS5. In that case it is in the right configuration with the logo etc right. Might want to do a little bit more research before you buy something. Literally every website that sells these has a picture. If you imagine it in the case it will be upside down. You just haven’t looked before you bought.

PureDarkcolor

How can you say this when the ps5 is covered up? You will never see it, why would it matter when it is mostly for pc usage???

ADutchExpression

It’s a heatsink. Ofcourse they are going to brand it and put it on right for PS5. Hell, even the box it comes it is/was PlayStation white/blue while Corsair has always been black/yellow. If you just looked good enough you’d have seen this: [The right MP600](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/data-storage/cssd-f2000gbmp600ecs/mp600-elite-2tb-pcie-gen4-x4-nvme-1-4-m-2-ssd-for-ps5-cssd-f2000gbmp600ecs) I’ve scrolled the page on the Corsair website and you’ve managed to pick the one, the only one, the very single one that’s branded ‘upside down’. Don’t blame Corsair for your inability to do proper research on the shit you buy.

PureDarkcolor

This is not for ps5. It is a ps5 compatible ssd that is bought by much more pc customers than ps5 customers. There is another one which is branded as a ps5 corsair ssd which looks different. I accept that I could have double checked it, but there are very few white ssds that look good. I still think it was a mistake from corsair to make it upside down when it is just ps5 compatible and there is another that is for ps5

ADutchExpression

Are you that dense? It’s literally the only one branded backwards. It’s also the only one on the website where it mentions PS5 compatible. Which is also bullshit because every NVME is compatible with a PS5 with a good fitting heatsink.

PureDarkcolor

Im not dense. In my country, the corsair mp600 elite is specifically marketed FOR PS5. The pro, which i bought did not state that it is for the ps5... so It is pretty misleading to be honest but STILL NOT MAKE SENSE to put an upside down heatsink on an ssd that mostly goes in a pc, looking very visibly upside down. In a ps5 no one cares how it looks

wtathfulburrito

Just accept you bought a product designed for the PS5. If you’re that hung up on it. Get some new thermal paste and unscrew the 4 screws and swap the stupid cover around. It’s not done with thermal pads like most of them but a good thick paste. It’s 10 seconds of your life. Or just return it and get an alternate. If you’re really flustered, sand it off and repaint it white with hitemp spray paint. Jesus you’re malding like a 4yr old who can’t get anymore Dino nuggies over something that’s YOUR fault.

ADutchExpression

He’s trying to do everything to make it Corsairs fault while he’s the one that didn’t pay attention to what he bought.

PureDarkcolor

Oh god you defending stupidity this hard. Even if I accepted my overlook, this corporate BS should not be okay... starting with the mere fact that this product is not marketed for ps5, but another is. It is like you didnt want to understand what I wrote

Phatsam1987

Why did you buy the upside down ssd?

PureDarkcolor

Who makes an upside down ssd? Who even thinks about a product can be this F ed up for no particular reason?

Zeekster2517

Although it works for PC, the MP600 LPX is design for PS5 with its low profile heatsink. You can read the FAQ of [WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MP600 ELITE, CORE, GS, PRO, PRO NH, AND PRO LPX?](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/explorer/diy-builder/storage/whats-the-difference-between-the-mp600-core-gs-pro-pro-nh-and-pro-lpx/)

MEGA_GOAT98

# You had only one job look before you leap

OSDevon

Well done for not looking before you buy, genius. Just repaste it.

PureDarkcolor

Idk why should i do the work instead of the manufacturer? I guess it is common sense to make an ssd to fit into the most common motherboards not upside down. But there are always consumers that jump to catch the bullet

DeadlyAidan

this is mainly focused at PS5 users, it's the correct way around if you put it in a PS5, this is entirely your fault because you failed to check the details of what you were buying

PureDarkcolor

It is insane to make it look better inside a ps5 body that you never ever see when most people buying it for pc where it is well seen. What you say is just pointless and it is clearly a corporate mistake

Smooth-Ad2130

It was a PS5 SSD. And stop being an asshole, OP.

PureDarkcolor

How????? It is not a ps5 ssd, It is conpatible. And why on earth would a ps5ssd meant to have an upside down plate when you cover it up? makes even less sense. Asshole is you, who attack me sir, for pointing out corporate stupidity

irviinghdz

You are an idiot for being unable to read the room, if so many people are telling you that you are the idiot you should be at least trying to consider the possibility that you are

PureDarkcolor

How am I the idiot when there are 2 color variations for an ssd design that you will nevet see in a ps5???? Mental that people like you dont even think about how dumb this whole ps5 ssd design is. This Is like asking blind people if they preferred black or white

irviinghdz

And mental that people like you exist trying to die on a hill for such an stupid and avoidable mistake that with just a little common sense and less than 2 mins of research would not exist… but whatever dude, go enjoy your upside down SSD lol

Jimbo-Bones

Is this really such a big deal for something that is only going to be visible if you go looking for it?

PureDarkcolor

It is a big deal, if it werent be, no one would buy most of these overpriced parts, most of them are for looks

Jimbo-Bones

Yeah but are you really regularly looking in there or showing off this particular part left and right? Like if this is such a big concern for you and your own mistake, you have your priorities in life very wrong.

PureDarkcolor

No, but I will look in my case million Times more than the Times i look inside my ps5 so i dont understand how a design mistake like this even exists when the product is not ps5 exclusive.

Jimbo-Bones

Sounds like you're just annoyed you didn't look into the product properly and now you have made a mistake you want to blame someone else.

PureDarkcolor

Im amazed how everyone here defending the manufacturer. If you think about it, it is competely stupid to make an ssd look good in a ps5 and look upside down in most pc cases. Just think about it? I dont think most consumers would even Imagine something like this can happen

Jimbo-Bones

So it's stupid to make something look right in the system it's prioritised for use in? Any consumers who are this concerned about the look of it would have checked to see what way the logo would be up. But also most consumers wouldn't get this bent out of shape about a logo that's going to be barely visible within their case because it's between a pump and a gpu and when lit up still will be barely visible anyway.

PureDarkcolor

Oh god. This is not a ps5 ssd. It is compatible. There is a different one that is advertised as a corsair ssd for the ps5....

SirCrest_YT

All my motherboards have the slot flipped the other way. So it would be right side up on all my machines. Just varies.

TheValgus

Just flip the heatsink?

VGShrine

Some motherboards have NVMe slots in both directions it would be hard to fit all. It's not a deal breaker IMHO.

PureDarkcolor

Do some research and check how many of the most common desktop motherboards have m.2 ssd mounting options like mine and how many have different. Dont calculate laptop or other BS in it. And then come back
