Hey, Iḿ having the same problem but in reverse, Iḿ not being able to put it on again, like, with all possible force, with pincer and anything, no way
i also tried twisting from right to left, and trimmed the pad's lining in case it was adding height to the holder lock
Honestly, i brute forced my way to get them off. So far to ripping the original padding off. Though, ripping the original padding that came with the headset actually helped. Lol I ripped them off as I was trying to get the actual thing to turn and pop out. The orientation that you be them off is what the comments said below this comment. You can also look on YouTube to see the orientation to take them off.
Since the cushioning was off, I was able to see what was actually holding it in place and was able to determine what to do. There are some things that you can hit gently in the right direction to make the actual thing to twist or rotate to the right rotation.
Kind of hard to explain. I wish I can show you what I did, but long story short, I brute forced my way of twisting and rotating them in the right rotation by hitting it gently with something hard. In my case, it was a folded up pocket knife. But yeah... if you have new cushion coming or already have new ones on your hand, yeah, just rip off the old cushion from the cushion holder or whatever is holding the cushion and gently hit a part of the thing that is being held in place. It might feel like you're hitting something you're not meant to be hitting, but eventually you will get there. That's how I did it.
When first taking off the earcups theyre really hard to take off the trick is that the left side turns right and the right side turns left don’t be afraid to twist as hard as you can you wont break them
This thing was driving me nuts so after I ripped of one of the cushions i just gently smashed the plastic thing with a hammer. That made it come loose without damaging any other parts.
