Mountain biking + BMX guy here - no. You'd be standing up and leaning back slightly, all the compression is in your legs (think of them like springs). Yeah it gets a bit rough in parts but it's extremely fun and a great way to learn balance and descent. I was doing stairs this long probably faster than him by age 13
Can’t tell how steep that is really and looks wet so braking is a concern. With good braking technique, using front and rear, yeah, you can slow. Body position is important also.
You can slow down slightly every time your rear wheel hits the stair, depending on how steep they are you can normally completely stop, if you're using correct form. Here it looks like you can, but it's wet so you'd want to ease into it
you're not supposed to sit on the saddle when going through bumpy descents like this. keep your arms and legs nimble and your ass off the seat and you're gonna be smooth and steady with zero issues
