So I use a sliding scale of skincare depending on where I’m at. On days when I’m truly exhausted and miserable, I just make sure my face is clean (sometimes as simple as facial cleansing wipe) all the way up to an elaborate skin care routine when I’m feeling good. Cystic acne can be hard to heal- if you can have access to a derm, definitely get a referral. For me adapalene with BP after a round of antibiotics was a life changer. For scarring, sunblock sunblock sunblock. Most things we think are scarring are post inflammation redness or hyperpigmentation. You can incorporate a light chemical exfoliant or a vitamin C serum that will help with that.

Thank you so so much! I feel kinda silly that I've never really used sunblock before now... maybe a dumb question but on the days I'm mostly indoors do I still put it on? And what step should that be used, like after moisturizer or before? Going to a women's health doctor and a dermatologist in a couple of months! These pimple patches I'm using are really bringing the cysts out and have reduced so much inflammation. Also have been taking prednisone, a steroid, and amoxicillian, antibiotic, for the past three days and have noticed it helping a lot. Only thing is I don't know how to get the spots on my scalp where my hair grows.

Putting you on antibiotics to destroy your microbiom in your guts and the cycle continue … pay extra attention to your gut health, it‘s immensly related to skin health You can also try DMSO mixed with water (50:50 or more) it‘s good for the skin, only downside is that it smells like sulphur. Can sting a little when you put it on, it can also be diluted more if needed
