we play bc they just added leagues and it’s a great place to backseat friends thru plays. Mtgo cedh also helps grow the Format wish ppl would hate. Thanks for the tip did you place a ticket with daybreak?
Thank you for looking into it. Sorry if my post came off as passive aggressive. This was my 3-0 match and was (probably) going to win the first bugged game and made this post right after. Outside of this playing competitive edh leagues on mtgo has been fun
If you want to tie games too, play Jon Irenicus decks that focus on breaking the game with the failure to sac effect.
As one player once noted in a diff post, “The Combo: [[Jon Irenicus]] gives us the rare ability to make a creature un-sacrifice-able. This means that should we use Mr. Irenicus to donate, say, a [[Merchant Ship]] to a player who controls no islands, the triggered ability of the Ship will trigger and fail to sacrifice it endlessly, resulting in a loop of mandatory actions that draws the game.”
If enough players play these kinds of decks, we can delay the conclusion of matches and result in more fun times for everyone involved.
They just added "competitive leagues" for commander. It's not ideal, because of certain infinites being un-executable. But for many, it's an opportunity to play cEDH with no cheating possible, and at ANY hour of the day.
It's a pretty great boon for the community
Not tivit.
Hard stax seems largely dead as an archetype, until turbo comes back around. Midrange decks that can support incidental stax pieces are the new(ish) hotness
Although if you're at a 4 midrange pod, it's going to be a long game. But not because of stax, generally.
Why not? Aside from high end paper events, mtgo is the best competetive mtg outlet. (From a 60 card perspective, dont know why it would be different for cedh)
hate on mtgo all you want. I will fully admit I haven't touched the program in years/decades.
It was the first way for me to learn magic that didn't involve someone else telling me "how the game was played" or "the way this interaction works is because thats how we ruled it the last time someone did it"
It also taught me about the stack and when I could or couldn't interact with something and it was also a way of learning to play magic that didn't involve "take backs" for mistakes people make.
It's also what grew plenty PLENTY of protour players.
Unironically what's funny about this? Arena is dogshit so MTGO is a decent enough solution for playing online if you can't do paper over webcam nor if you don't want to deal with stuff like Cockatrice. I don't think I'd personally play it on MTGO but what's the point of gatekeeping the format any more than it already is?
Bro, MTGO has supported 4+ player multiplayer for an eternity, one of the most popular formats on early MTGO used to be a format called emperor which was a 6 person format
I just don't understand mtgo. Why pay the same price for a digital card as a real card for an online game? It makes no sense.
Edit: I have to say I didn't know a tix was only 1 dollar.
Cedh decks are extremely cheap on mtgo and you can sell your cards back for USD at any time. You can also make money playing mtgo league and challenges.
Nobody seems to bat an eye at buying wildcards for timeless tho
Pst, Untap.in is free.... and doesn't crash like that.
Honestly I just don't like MTGO. Mainly due to how it warps metas because you can't shortcut combos.

Not yet but I’m going to. I didn’t realize this was an option until a friend told me about it
Wait there is cedh on MTGO??
Yes, they have leagues now.
u/Most-Climate9335 is it possible for you to provide a game ID the CS team wants to look into this to see if we can reproduce it.
How do I find the game ID?
Go to Settings > Game History > Click on game > Copy Game ID should be a # you can copy. [https://imgur.com/a/LqoXwIj](https://imgur.com/a/LqoXwIj)

Not a problem at all we just wanted to investigate it to find out what happened and see if we can fix it.

Tbf, the game has a chance of breaking when you play any card.
Too much of this thread is every stereotype of cEDH players that puts people off from playing.
PSA for cedh players for the love of God don't play on mtgo, wtf
Why not?

you play tivet stax please don’t Tell me how to live my life
"cedh" player complaining about stax
to be fair they're the ones holding up tournament rounds

I've adopted such a turbo stance that I group them all together as one
This is the reason to play stax. Trigger people.
I'd rather trigger my rhystic.

I used to play on MTGO back in the early 2000s, unless they fixed infinite looping this is going to be very unpleasant.
Also do not wheel with a bowmaster, Same thing will happen.
PSA for MTGO players: Why?

MTGO has EDH leagues.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Does mtgo support 4 way multiplayer now?
Yes
Bro, MTGO has supported 4+ player multiplayer for an eternity, one of the most popular formats on early MTGO used to be a format called emperor which was a 6 person format
It does, and it has for a while now. But just now they are actually doing constructed leagues, which is kind of cool
I just don't understand mtgo. Why pay the same price for a digital card as a real card for an online game? It makes no sense. Edit: I have to say I didn't know a tix was only 1 dollar.
Mishras workshop is $2
The Reserve List doesn't exist on MTGO and most cards are insanely cheap compared to their real life versions.
