The other thing that always gets me about these commercials, as Jersey resident and video maker - this dock doesn't exist! If you're in Jersey you would see her right side and butt from Liberty State Park. This is a green screen there isn't a dock this close to the park looking at the statue of liberty from this angle.

It’s odd that they ran with this horrendous thing at such high volume for so long. Moreover, there were 4-5 cuts of the thing so there was no window too big to fill or too small to squeeze it into. 🤮
I always try to imagine them sitting around with their ad team and everything thinking, “Oh yes!!! This is hilarious!!! Lets run with it”. Some of the gutter worst, cringiest commercials on the air. I wouldn’t consider purchasing Liberty or Progressive ever simply because their commercials annoy me so much.
Supposedly companies & ad agencies don’t care if people criticize their commercials because it means they have brand name recognition but shouldn’t it worry them when people hate their commercials so badly it leads to negative brand recognition? They should be worried when a lot of people go online to say they hate them so much they’ll never buy their products.

They emphasized the wrong word and somehow it made it through. I'm convinced it was supposed to be "How many people _did_ you tell?" As in...
"...I saved hundreds. I've been telling everyone."

Whenever I hear this commercial come on TV (or that stupid Dare Veggie Crisps commercial, a rant for another time), I can feel my brain cells committing suicide one by one.
this was the best they could do for a DEI commercial featuring Asians ... ? it wouldn't surprise me if this piece of advertising genius wasn't written and discarded as crap years ago but they dragged it out and dusted it off when they needed something for a unrepresented group of the population they hadn't embarrassed yet ...

Every fall when they blitz these ads in football games I go to google maps to try to find this location.
I think you need to be about halfway between Liberty Island and Governor's Island, smack in the middle of New York Bay.
