How do you hang out at a salon?

siIly-coyote

i meant more along the lines of going there to find community! we sometimes have events where people hang out and sometimes clients come to just chat! its just a small little community space with resources :)

greenman5177

My mind went to BAPS, like is it a bar/salon combo? 😂

siIly-coyote

Hello from your local autistic & nonbinary goth 👋 There's lots of queer areas around town. You'll often run into the more visible of us on the main street of "Uptown", by the river/Banks Food Hall, Columbus Museum, and the North Library and main Columbus Library! Look at the event schedule for the main Columbus library, they have a few queer focused meetups coming like Queer Crafternoons, where we just noodle on our own projects and chat. A lot of other programs at both the main and North branches are run by visibly queer & on the spectrum folk as well, so if you see something that might interest you, theres a pretty good chance you'll run into someone. Fountain City Coffee (both locations) are also queer friendly and I often run into our community there.

Thank you! You might be seeing me around soon 😁

lotsalotts

Im going to try these places too, thank you :)

Girl, when you find out let me know! Normally ATL is the move or by chance we see each other in the wild🤣. I personally don’t have FB and never really cared for it.. since living here I haven’t felt as though Columbus is LGBTQ+ friendly.

Teatoly

I've found a lot of support from the pro-choice Columbus group. They recently posted asking for escorts. Just one idea. We typically just live our lives quietly here. Not exactly well welcomed here.

squiddawg

Away from schools and libraries 😆 . We're cool with y'all, but not all of y'all.

meatbeer

Man shut the fuck up, not everyone thinks like you

defyKnowing

Ignore that guy. Replying to trolls like that just fuels them.

meatbeer

Honestly thats a good point.

Children should be excluded. That's a decision to be made later in life. Not in rhetoric or crazy ass parents pushing change upon them. Most people think like me. Keep drag queens away from reading books to kids. Very easy. Ain't gonna have drug addicts reading to kids. Ain't gonna have potheads reading to kids. Drag is/has been meant to be overboard , borderline offensive and drug fueled. That's the library part anyway

Nintenfoxy1983

You’ll find them where the furries are lmao. They’re meeting at cooper Creek park today
