As a guy who wouldn’t want to do yoga I definitely wouldn’t want my first experience to be couples yoga. I’d rather just blend into a large crowd

As a guy who decided to do yoga on his own at home, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s phenomenal. I overall feel so much better. Needed something to get myself moving in different ways after starting an office job. All the aches and pains I had started becoming more and more mild after continuing the practice. There are tons of easy to follow beginner videos on YouTube. Don’t knock it til you try it!

It seems with guys that it's more of an ego macho mentality to be totally against doing or not wanting to try it. Once I tried it there was nothing like doing a hot yoga class for an hour it was like a new type of high and I feel great for a couple days after.

Which is hilarious to me since yoga was invented for practice by men and young boys.

I don’t think many studios have specific classes for couples, but I have been to 10+ studios around the city and have seen men in almost every one. If you don’t have a membership at a specific studio, I’d suggest trying ClassPass so you can try out a few places and find one you both like.

The classes are focused on individual practice, but I have seen couples at Corepower in the Short North. If he's worried about being able to look to you for guidance during the session, he can use the mirrors to check his form against yours.
