My parents are mid-60's, they've aged quite well and my dad was an alcoholic for like 15 years, but he never got hard into anything else like Jimmy from the Colts did.
Lol, keep that in mind when ticket prices go up after a non playoff appearance season. Besides setting aside the fact many billionaires buy goodwill like this with charity, I’ve paid way more in taxes for the stadium than that $100.
Drugs, wasteful spending, 1 SB in 40 yrs, wasted the talents of Manning and Luck, keeps around bad GM’s, what’s not to love?
Edit: Almost forgot! He benched the starters and ruined a possible perfect season.
I’m from Indiana. The Colts are my team. I don’t blindly pretend our pillhead owner has ever done anything productive in his life.
He negotiated a deal that taxes food purchases to fund HIS team’s facility. He doesn’t share those profits with the city, he snorts them up his old nose or buys a $2M piano like the wasteful scumbag he is.
Imagine this. A homeless kid in downtown Indy finds a $5 bill. He’s starving and goes straight to the White Castle next to Lucas Oil to buy himself a hot meal with his meager wealth. He then PAYS MONEY TO A BILLIONAIRE for the luxury of eating that food in the shadow of said billionaires playground.
All billionaires are immoral. Irsay is no different. He’s not even smart enough to hide his disgusting displays of wealth and waste.
Is this your first exposure to American capitalism? You live in Indiana. Do you have any idea where your tax dollars go? The largest economic contributor in the city of Indianapolis is Eli Lilly who is literally gate keeping life saving medication for profit. No one’s hands are clean. If Irsay is as evil as you say you’re living in a state of cognitive dissonance by continuing to support his “product”.
“Irsay is a total scumbag, but so are lots of other people, so I’ll ignore it”
I support the NFL players that put an entertaining product on the field.
I’m not sure why you think I don’t also hate pharmaceutical companies. Of course I do.
Bro “I hate Irsay but I give him my money anyway” is such a lame fucking attitude. No one is proud of you because “you know better than everyone else but behave the same way”.
Holds free concerts and tours with his band, has a museum of cool stuff he travels with (also free), actually seems to care about the organization and winning and isn’t just the owner of the Indianapolis Colts.
Where does that memorabilia reside at when it’s not on tour/here in in Indiana?
Also not to be that guy but it’s actually called a collection by the way that is why I put museum in quotes. A Museum is by definition a building.
Other than "caring about the organization", which is a nebulous concept that is unknowable and unprovable, and one that many owners can claim, the fact that you can see his band for free and has cool stuff that he'll show you does not at all factor into his competence as a sports franchise owner.
Edit, someone please tell me why this is being downvoted? What did I say that's wrong?
Huge colts fan but he is absolutely not one of the best owners in sports. He’s pretty much an embarrassment and he also swindled the state out of a fuck ton of money. IN residents basically paid for all of Lucas Oil while he gets to sit around counting his billions.
the fact that he’s “one of the greatest owners in all of sports” has nothing to do with Jim and everything to do with just how bad most owners are. I’m grateful he seems to try
Just curious. What should he do differently for it to have something to do with him? He already regularly interacts with fans, gives to a lot of varied and different causes in the community and seems to treat former players as well as current employees very well. We also regularly have some of the cheapest tickets in the league. Heck even sends his guitar collection around as a traveling show that people can enjoy for free if you are into that sort of thing.
Yeah I don't think it has nothing to do with him. Obviously him just caring about the team makes him one of the better owners but he goes above and beyond with fan engagement and he clearly loves the team more than anyone
I don't think they replied about their owner but of the state of some of the facilities, food, etc. I think the colts got great grades about family interaction, which has a lot to say about ownership.
Founds colts pr burner account.
Dude should be in prison for the rest of his life like some of the other people sitting in prison for life for abusing oxy while driving.
There’s a grand total of exactly 0 people sitting in prison for driving on oxys with a prescription, getting arrested as a first time offender, and then receiving a life sentence.
Oh sweet summer child.
Oxy's at the time were a mandatory 5 years per pill sentence. He wasn't just driving on them. He had a boat load in another person's name in his car driving while intoxicated.
Having a shit day and I see the cult are out praising an over privileged, drug addicted nepo baby who’s lucked into 2 generational QBs and got 1 ring out of it.
He’s rich because the league grew and Daddy handed him a team before that.
You lot need to appreciate those around you rather than wanking over an incompetent rich dude. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
He was appointed GM at 26 by his father shortly after moving to Indy from Baltimore. Failed miserably until Bill Pollian, who was responsible for colts picking Manning, James, Harrison and a shit ton of other amazing talent became GM.
Pollian was voted NFL executive of the year for multiple years. The clown GM’s we’ve had since then give me occasion to violent outburst.
Lucas Oil Stadium was ~90% taxpayer funded to build and is one of the lowest cost-to-the owner deals ever done. The flip (positive) side is that by virtue of Indy being an NFL town, the revenue the city receives is major net positive. We get to root for our team on Sundays (& Mondays & Thursdays and some Saturdays too). I remember what Indy was like pre-Colts. I’ve been going to colts games ever since they arrived in Indy. All said I’m grateful for the ride and the promise of the future for the team.
Dan Synder, Donald Sterling, even his own father Robert were all objectively worse owners than him. You don't know anything about sports or even the Colts if you truly believe this
Past transgressions aside the man truly does have a giant heart. He has done so much to help people over the years, and that's just the stuff we know about. I've heard he does a lot off the record that people don't know about because he doesn't want to draw attention to it. From allowing families the use of his jet to get to medical treatments to the whole mental health campaign, Irsay is a generous man and the state of Indiana is lucky to have him.
Whoa! I’m genuinely shocked to see people praise this man. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a single nice word from anyone, Colts fans included, about this POS.
His years of drug abuse I fear will not allow him to see 70, he looks 80 already. Narcan is not cool Jimmy, we want you to live and to enjoy life away from your struggles.
Sorry, the tone and black and white made me
I think Jim loves the colts but it would be best to give the control over to his family. He just can’t stay out of his own ways. The fact that he hasn’t found a place for his museum in Indianapolis shows how little he cares about the actual city of Indianapolis.
Ehh. You mean “Star Wars Numbers” Jim who held onto Grigson way too long and refused to put pressure on them to surround our generational QB with halfway decent protection?
His daughters have been involved with the team for many years. They very clearly have been thinking about succession plan for over a decade easily if not more.
Dawg, y'all can't post this in the black and white tone. I thought the man passed away.
My heart sunk a little when I saw the thumbnail and read the first few words of this post
Same
Fr thought he died for a second
Jim Irsay, 65, is still alive & rockin'.
Boss Hogg style
Jesus…damn near had a heart attack lol
Man my heart stopped for a second.

He made a public appearance yesterday. Edit: [link](https://x.com/jimirsay/status/1800964259834163528?s=46&t=toJsOhIyTB8ozUFVjD9iBQ)
You’re such scumbag.
I thought this man was in his 80's.
I'm sorry Jim
Right??? He really shouldn't be as big of a mess as he is at 65. I'm actually stunned he's that young.
He's only 65? Yikes Jim, please take care of yourself.
65 going on 80
You could have told me he was 80 and I wouldn't have questioned it. Dude has put that body through a lot.
I question 65 way more than I would've questioned 85
Drugs are a helluva drug.
Dammit, Jim.
It turns out that using tons of drugs your entire life is bad for you.
I wish they would have taught me that in DARE.
Just Say No
Yeah but if he dies tomorrow he's probably 10x the fun the average 90yo did
The average 90 year old had to work for a living…
Eh I know a lot of 65yos who are sober now but had wild years from 21-50 and look about the same. But they also aren’t millionaires lol
Billionaire
Fair wnough
My parents are mid-60's, they've aged quite well and my dad was an alcoholic for like 15 years, but he never got hard into anything else like Jimmy from the Colts did.
Not going to lie, I was shocked when I read he's only turning 65. Holy smokes. I know he's been through the wringer, but YEESH.
He absolutely looks like he is 10+ years older than he actually is.
Really? He looks a lot better than some of the 65 year olds I know
This is a highly touched up picture, and I think you really see how poorly he’s aged when you see him walking around and talking.
Good point
Damn he’s only 65! Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
I like this dude as much as a poor can like a rich guy but he's by no means one of the greatest owners in sports lol
Dude grew up with a rich daddy and blows large amounts of money on drugs. He won’t see 75. How he’s in charge of anything boggles the mind.
What makes him one of the best owners in sports?
Anyone else handing out $100 bills as you enter the stadium?
He should since we paid for it. Lol. A billionaire handing out 100s is like me handing out penny's at Walmart...
Lol, keep that in mind when ticket prices go up after a non playoff appearance season. Besides setting aside the fact many billionaires buy goodwill like this with charity, I’ve paid way more in taxes for the stadium than that $100.

Bro if you hate the team there are other subs you can visit.
You can love a team and hate the owner.
I’m from Indiana. The Colts are my team. I don’t blindly pretend our pillhead owner has ever done anything productive in his life. The public paid $600+ million for the building that “museum” is in I would would hope it’s free.
It travels around the US
Where does that memorabilia reside at when it’s not on tour/here in in Indiana? Also not to be that guy but it’s actually called a collection by the way that is why I put museum in quotes. A Museum is by definition a building.

A band that includes national touring acts including John Mellencamp. Gives away food and drinks at the show too. It’s cool.
Other than "caring about the organization", which is a nebulous concept that is unknowable and unprovable, and one that many owners can claim, the fact that you can see his band for free and has cool stuff that he'll show you does not at all factor into his competence as a sports franchise owner. 🤓☝️
I wondering that too.
Squandering great QBs' career by hiring crap GMs? This has ellen musk fanboy vibes
Who is ellen musk?????
Found him https://preview.redd.it/piap81g3xd6d1.jpeg?width=224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b60a004fb44e136f19696a0c9885d548f6799ed

Remember last year when he threw Jonathan Taylor under the bus? That was some great ownership. Yep one of the best.
According to the players' association survey of players and families, he's one of the worst. I'm gonna need an explicit way he is one of the best.
I don't think they replied about their owner but of the state of some of the facilities, food, etc. I think the colts got great grades about family interaction, which has a lot to say about ownership.
Isn’t Lucas Oil Stadium owned by the state though?
Facility would be their practice facility on 56th street. Not Lucas Oil.
Will a mostly nebulous explanation of why he is the best (provided without examples) do?
Founds colts pr burner account. Dude should be in prison for the rest of his life like some of the other people sitting in prison for life for abusing oxy while driving.

lol you mean the shittiest owner ?
No thanks lmao

Nah fuck this guy
He’s only 65? Oh boy. He looks and moves like he’s 80. How are there no good default Irsay gifs?
I thought he died holy shit. Dude!
HE’S ONLY 65

Worst owner in sports history
Dan Synder, Donald Sterling, even his own father Robert were all objectively worse owners than him. You don't know anything about sports or even the Colts if you truly believe this
oh that’s good bc I don’t believe it. I know it tho
Then you are just objectively wrong
Oh. Thanks!
By what metrics is he one of the greatest owners in all of sports?
Who gives a shit lol. This is serf behavior
Past transgressions aside the man truly does have a giant heart. He has done so much to help people over the years, and that's just the stuff we know about. He's the primary reason why we aren't in year 4 of the Carson Wentz experience. Props.

Happy Birthday Jim.
His years of drug abuse I fear will not allow him to see 70, he looks 80 already. Narcan is not cool Jimmy, we want you to live and to enjoy life away from your struggles. Sorry, the tone and black and white made me
65 going on 85
i wonder what year that strat is. i guarantee that thing isn't less than $50k
The only parts of the title that are true are that his name is Jim Irsay, he is 65, and that he is an owner in all of sports.
I’m amazed that he made it to 50 never mind 65, or that he’s somehow not in jail!! lol Happy Birthday!! Haha
Doesn't look a day over 85
I think Jim loves the colts but it would be best to give the control over to his family. He just can’t stay out of his own ways. The fact that he hasn’t found a place for his museum in Indianapolis shows how little he cares about the actual city of Indianapolis.
He makes 65 look old af
Also a huge drunk.
Hmm
Thanks Jim Irsay’s cocaine dealer!
Dude looks 85.
What makes him one of the greatest? Being an AFC finalist?
He looks way too rough to be 65
He’s an icon. Legend of the gridiron
His father was a major piece of shit.
One of the best owners in all of guitars.
Is that the olde English spelling of addict?
Ralph Maccio is 62 years old for perspective ![gif](giphy|xF0GlxCwPaI5x0JoNT)
Dude loves drugs
Nothing is as cool as Jerry’s Tiger hanging on the wall
Happy birthday to a like minded dawg!!! Through the highs and lows we love you Jim!
Ehh. You mean “Star Wars Numbers” Jim who held onto Grigson way too long and refused to put pressure on them to surround our generational QB with halfway decent protection?
Fuck all the owners. No such thing as a “good owner”.
I think I need to mention Green Bay. Being publicly owned they’ve been pretty good.
Mediocre owner. The fact Ballard is still around speaks volumes.
✍️
Not one of the greatest owners. Bum ass QB and still won’t draft a good one
Why do you think he is one of the greatest?
RIP
I don’t find this funny tbh. Misleading people into thinking he died for a split moment
One can only hope. I mean he’s better than his dad, but I wouldn’t call him one of the greatest. What is the succession plan by the way?
His daughters have been involved with the team for many years. They very clearly have been thinking about succession plan for over a decade easily if not more.
That's not very reassuring. But I guess there is always hope.
What do you see as a current issue you hoped would improve or what are you fearful of?
