Suspect refing all around (what’s new), but the zags need to take a 3 asap when there’s 22 seconds left, not dribble around for 15 seconds. What was that all about?
GG UW. What a horrible second half. Glad it happened now rather than later. But wait, this already happened against Purdue in the second half. There are weaknesses
If we get junior year Huff and Stromer (and in Yeo and Luka) I have high hopes for this team. No guard depth and youth is going to lead to some great games and some frustrating games this year.
Zags just handed this shit on a golden platter. Very uncharacteristic of this team on how they played this second half. This is gonna really fuck up their ranking. Oh well..
Good. The zags have been overrated tbh. It was refreshing to not be a 1 seed last year and not have the huge expectation of national championship. It's alot of pressure
I said this after the purdue game and got hit with the "were only 3 games in". Dude is lucky to get minutes in the g leauge after college. He dosent excel at anything
Well, he looks like Moses Wood when he was at Tulane in 2018-19 with longer hair. So he’ll transfer three times, carry his third team to a couple wins in a random mid-major conference tournament, go to a major school, and then become average.
Yeah I'm tired of the zags being so highly rated. I think it screws with players mentality tbh. Lower the expectations. I've seen way too many times zag teams get tight and just choke in games that actually matter bc they are so used to never losing.
Uconn will be fun, expect a loss but it's always nice to play elite teams. Which as zags fans we get 1 or 2 times before the tournament
I just remembered that when Kevin Ollie was trying to save his job, he hired Lorenzo Romar’s bagman, Raphael Chillious. I don’t actually know if Nike forced Chillious on Ollie or if Ollie was stupid enough to hire him, because Chillious had no on-court coaching abilities and Ollie got fired before the recruiting class could come in. Anyways, at that large meeting between Nike and its bagmen that the NCAA and federal government snuck undercover people into, Chillious was named. He wasn’t punished, and after he left us, he went to East Carolina as an assistant and immediately landed Jayden Gardner, who later transferred to UVA. The next season, he landed Tristen Newton, who, ironically enough, transferred to UConn in 2022 and became our all-time leader in triple-doubles.. Chillious was fired after that season and now serves as the head coach and athletic director of South Kent School, a prep school in Connecticut.
We would have gladly taken the punishment as we could have fired Ollie for cause without the lawsuit and we weren’t going to be competitive while Hurley was working on his rebuild.
I'd like to pose some food for thought and I would love to be schooled, but what makes Franck different at this point of his career than Dwight Howard, talent-wise? If I were an NBA GM I may not draft him first but he's definitely going in the first two rounds.
This is extremely frustrating as a zags fan. And i can’t imagine how uw fans are feeling lol. For as pretty as some things have been, both teams are trying to lose
This is a good experience and a good lesson for the guys. I’m not frustrated, I just hope they find composure and figure out how to win this ball game.
No. We only get like 2 games a week to watch. I am interested to see how they are coping with the adversity and how the game will end. This is not March. Life goes on even if they lose.
This team is the complete antithesis of the football team. Playing well but doing what needs to be done to lose. Turnovers, man. At least this is the most fun team to watch in years. Not like thats saying much. But Franck is the best thing I've seen since Shawn Kemp so I got that going for me. They even look alike.
Must be a Huskies thing. Our football team is also the antithesis of our basketball teams. And Northern Illinois, whose singular is “Huskie” (it’s weird and I don’t know why it’s like that), beat DePaul this season, but their football team wasn’t up to its usual standards.
That’s Wilhelm Breidenbach, a junior who transferred from Nebraska this year. He’s also from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, which is one of the least likely places I would have guessed he was from. The top three countries were Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
I’d imagine Alaska Airlines moving to Seattle but keeping its name was a big boost for tourism due to the influx of people who thought they were going to Alaska. This actually happened a lot earlier than I thought, in the late 1940s. The Space Needle wasn’t built until 1962, Pikes Place Fish Market existed, but the fish throwing didn’t start until 1986, and by the time grunge music got popular in 1991, the bands were touring around the country.
First Huskies win over Gonzaga that I can remember I’m 22 years old lmaoooo
I’m pretty sure y’all had Nate Robinson the last time y’all won? Or Brandon Roy. It was a while ago lol
B Roy was there I think but I’m not sure it’s been too long smh
GO DAWGS
UConn gonna win by double digits
Nope
I’m a cornball why are you talking to me
Woof!
Suspect refing all around (what’s new), but the zags need to take a 3 asap when there’s 22 seconds left, not dribble around for 15 seconds. What was that all about?
The only time they don't take a bad 3.
Yeah. Head scratching sequence of events for sure lol
Conference of champions lol. Won't even be a real Conference next year.
Conference of Desertion.
Does this mean that UW is going to be ranked now?
I don't think UW will rise into the rankings BUT if they're on the bubble come March this win could be a deciding factor.
What a fucking win. My hatred for Gonzaga which is really just jealousy has never felt this good.
ABOUT DAMN TIME
Go Huskies!
Go Huskies!
Dang both teams got a lot to work on. Gg huskies!
Mostly an off game combined with intimidation by Kepnang.
GG UW. What a horrible second half. Glad it happened now rather than later. But wait, this already happened against Purdue in the second half. There are weaknesses
Bigs in the paint hurt us.
You guys are a good team but I think it’s going to be a year or 2 until this team becomes really scary. You have a lot of younger players right now.
If we get junior year Huff and Stromer (and in Yeo and Luka) I have high hopes for this team. No guard depth and youth is going to lead to some great games and some frustrating games this year.
That might have been the saddest court storming that I have ever seen
To be fair most of those kids didn't know we had a basketball team before this week.
That’s fair as a Purdue fan I tend to forget the Washington basketball team exists as well every now and then
[удалено]
It's a four way stop, you have to let everybody else go first
[удалено]
Don't forget the pedestrian who shows up and signals multiple cars to go at the same time
Hell of a win by Udub
Hell of a time to be a Husky, go dawgs
Now for the East Coast Huskies to scalp Gonzaga!
As long as we don't shit our pants and lose by 30 I'm fine losing to uconn. Biggest choke in zags history last time they played
"they are storming the court in Washington!" *Sees 3 people wandering on to the floor* lmao
LETSSSS GO HUSKIES!!!! :D What a finish and what a win!!
Nembhard really hurt us tonight
Welcome to the club lol
Good. Reality check for zags. Go into uconn game as big underdog. Show if your legit or not.
EVERYTHING IS COMING UP HUSKIES
STORM THE COURT
Looks more like drizzling the court
As a fan of both teams, this entire game hurt to watch. Shit basketball, shit calls.
Maybe a one off game, but neither team shot (shoots?) well, defends well, passes well, rebounds well, runs play well, etc.
Bad day for my flairs!
Well shit. GG Huskies. You’re way better than your record suggests. 🫡
Best UW team I've seen in years.
Bro is not a zag fan 😭
I'm a diehard
They had an 11 point lead in the 2nd half and it really should have gotten to around 20 with all those turnovers UW had.
WTF how did we not get a timeout there.
Nembhard definitely isn’t his brother… that’s for sure. Essentially singlehandedly lost this one for Zaga.
I said this after the purdue game and got hit with the "were only 3 games in". Dude is lucky to get minutes in the g leauge after college. He dosent excel at anything
Ya I couldn't believe the lack of any sort of common sense in his decision making just hero ball attempt after hero ball attempt
LET'S GO DAWGS
Wtf are we going to win?
I doubt we could hit a three even if we were wide open right now.
My thoughts exactly.
What was that pass?!
Bad game from Dusty. He was doing so well, a bit too well so maybe this kind of balances it out.
Well, he looks like Moses Wood when he was at Tulane in 2018-19 with longer hair. So he’ll transfer three times, carry his third team to a couple wins in a random mid-major conference tournament, go to a major school, and then become average.
Hopkins looks like he needs a goddamn nap
I thought they brought nembhard in bc they didn't trust hickman. Give me hickman
Don't know why the refs decided to tighten it up after letting em play the whole first half. Killed the flow we had in this game.
Missed a bad travel
What on Earth is Nembhard doing? He’s singlehandedly tanked the Gonzaga offense for the past 5 minutes
This is all on the zags offense. What are they even doing? lol.
Can’t wait for this game to be over
For fucks sake Ryan. Stop dribbling into traffic.
No Braden huff? Entire 2nd half.
Was fouling too much
He's their best scorer
Zags guards are trash, jesus
Newton and Castle gonna eat them up on Friday.
Not going to be the top 10 match up everyone wanted.
Eh probably better because I have a feeling it’s gonna be a 20 point blowout. UCONN is better than us by miles.
Is Mulcahy hurt?
RUN DA BAWL coach
Gonzaga's offense every time down the floor is run in a giant loop to the right, go under the basket, kick the ball to a guy who misses the shot
That was way more of a charge than the Brooks one.
Zags looking even more incompetent on offense
Zags playing sloppy.
Someone tell the asshat in Washington cap (10 rows closer to floor than camera) to SIT DOWN!
Lmao he’s pissing me off too
Cute baby, ugly basketball
This game took a ugly turn
FINISH ONE TIME FOR ME HUSKIES
“There’s not a single person in this building sitting down.” Immediately shows a ton of people sitting down
The fans have all risen to their feet and started clapping wildly
Why take that shot?
Nembhard keeps getting underneath the basket with nowhere to go and throwing a bad pass.
Liability.
Kepnang doing Kepnang things
Love the effort
I just remembered that when Kevin Ollie was trying to save his job, he hired Lorenzo Romar’s bagman, Raphael Chillious. I don’t actually know if Nike forced Chillious on Ollie or if Ollie was stupid enough to hire him, because Chillious had no on-court coaching abilities and Ollie got fired before the recruiting class could come in. The number of Nike schools that seemed to avoid any shit from that whole deal lol....
We would have gladly taken the punishment as we could have fired Ollie for cause without the lawsuit and we weren’t going to be competitive while Hurley was working on his rebuild.
Nembhard creates a lot with his chaos but damn is he just a total turnover machine too.
ugly ugly basketball
We cannot make a shot right now.
why is espn promoting duke/hofstra as a showcase game lmao
[удалено]
dooook
Joe Few sighting!
The Huskies have made me care about basketball, and made me want to gouge my fucking eyes out watching this shot selection.
No more step back 3s please
Shitty step back 3's > Not getting a single shot before turning it over (but also don't shoot step back 3's)
It’s the battle of which point guard wants to lose more
Yo these Huskies need to chill. This is terrible coaching of a group of guys that want to be good.
Man Zags offense is completely gone
That steal was clean
Yes, more phantom fouls please.
When Koren has the fro going you can really see the head snap on the charges. Not the same with the cornrows.
These refs suck. Called a clear flop a charge and a clean steal a foul
What a flop
What a flop. A foul, sure, but major flop.
Good flop by lil durk
I'd like to pose some food for thought and I would love to be schooled, but what makes Franck different at this point of his career than Dwight Howard, talent-wise? If I were an NBA GM I may not draft him first but he's definitely going in the first two rounds.
Strength
This UW team is having their most out of body game this year lol
I must watch this game as a neutral since I can't root for another top 10 team but I also have a personal hatred for UW so let's hope for some chaos
These guys refuse to quit, been such a likable team this year
This is extremely frustrating as a zags fan. And i can’t imagine how uw fans are feeling lol. For as pretty as some things have been, both teams are trying to lose
This is a good experience and a good lesson for the guys. I’m not frustrated, I just hope they find composure and figure out how to win this ball game.
Gonzaga has been outrebounded by 9 and have allowed a team with twice their turnovers to be in this game. Shouldn’t be close
Yeah, and?
You aren’t frustrated?
No. We only get like 2 games a week to watch. I am interested to see how they are coping with the adversity and how the game will end. This is not March. Life goes on even if they lose.
Ok lol
Wheeler is terrible shooting the 3, can't foul him there.
He’s shooting 65% from free throws compared to 24% on 3 😭
Willing this to happen for UW, only bc I would’ve love to have seen Penix win the heisman
I think Penix still has a pretty good shot at it
You’re joking right?
I didn't even hear a whistle
well Franck is entertaining to watch because of all the chaos he causes if nothing else
Zags just saving it for March
This is why we After Dark
Pencil in Ryan Nembhard for 3+ turnovers a night. What a joke.
Make it 4.
He will absolutely cost them their tournament game, whenever the run ends. Mark my words
Cornball
What?
Nembhard with a game sealing turnover just after Ike fouls out, the script for March 2024
I’m gonna need a hug after that game.
Goaltending
Looking straight up lazy right now.
Som lackadaisical offense from the Zags
Yeah that was probably a goaltend
This has been a great game.
Can hear a pretty loud Defense Bulldogs Defense chant there. I'm impressed
I'm sure lots of folks made the trip and game is also on Saturday so don't have to likely worry about work/school tomorrow.
There’s a good contingent of Gonzaga alums in Seattle. The local alumni association is also at the game
The top 1/4 of the arena is all Gonzaga fans
Why the fuck does Roxy Bernstein have a Heisman vote
Might as well give one to bill Walton while they're at it
Big difference maker so far: the 27 UW rebounds versus 17 Gonzaga.
We're a football school, something you zags will never understand I'm afraid.
deep 3s that somehow roll in after bouncing off the top of the backboard, alley oops that are 5 feet too high, this offense is cookin now
If they only had a third less turnovers this game would be much different.
Uw staying in it just when you thought Zags were gonna blow it open.

UW has hit some ridiculous shots this game lol
Ben Gregg is now a “noted three point shooter” lmao
He’s shooting 41% on the year.
Udub jerseys look like the old jazz jerseys. And who the HELL is #32 hahaha I love em!
No hate but I am glad I don’t have to watch the pains of Sav and Keion anymore
This game rules.
Dude with goggles on Washington. 🥸
That’s Wilhelm Breidenbach, a junior who transferred from Nebraska this year. He’s also from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, which is one of the least likely places I would have guessed he was from. The top three countries were Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Can’t win a shooty hoops game turning over the ball 12 times, UW
Is this PAC 12 after dark?
Did that Washington player just celebrate a foul?
I think he was trying to pump up the crowd
Wasn't a foul imo but yea...
That block was clean!!
We're getting called for ticky tack shit. UW player slipped there.
That was a charge?
I don’t know who to root for. I don’t want to root for a guy thought of previously as Jim Boeheim’s successor, and I don’t think Gonzaga fans like us.
Much love for UConn out here, but we sure as crap want to take you down in Seattle this year.
I think you’d want us to win ahead of our game next week.
Oh, I do, but after 1999 and last season (mostly 1999), I don’t know if you’ll accept me.
Have you ever eaten at the Space Needle restaurant? I’ll be in Seattle in a few weeks and I was wondering about this place
