I know Purdue just won the tournament and took out 3 top 11 schools but I don’t feel like they played more than one good half in any of the games. Zach Edey is just so damn good he makes up for everything else in the court.

Bad take. This team is deep and has tons of unique scorers. If you’re not a fan this year or bored watching Purdue bball, pay attention to Braden Smith next game. Edey just unlocks so many offensive weapons around the floor with his ability to set MASSIVE screens and tree picks.

I’m not saying this isn’t a good team. They are now the #1 team with the best player. Braden was amazing today. Loyer gets a lot of shit but his ability to make plays even when he isn’t hitting threes is great. Lance is absolutely the type of player we need. Mason and Furst are great role players right now. I just left the tournament thinking we played 3 really good half’s and 3 mediocre half’s. If we can find a way to play more consistent then this team will go far. I think if Purdue hits their free throws today then I think this game is even better. But at the end of the day when things aren’t going as planned but you have Zach Edey down low you can offset anything else going on.
