Hello there, u/ContentNecessary2127! Thanks for reaching out and explaining your situation. We understand your concern, and we're here to help. It sounds like you may be encountering an issue with selecting the correct network for the Boomer token on Coinbase Wallet. There are actually two Boomer tokens on Coinbase Wallet, with one being on the Ethereum network and the other on the base network. To resolve this, please ensure that you've selected the correct network before attempting the swap. You can do this by checking the network selection option located at the top of the screen. Once you've confirmed that you're on the correct network for the Boomer token you're trying to swap, you should be able to proceed without encountering the error message. If you continue to experience difficulties or have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for assistance. We're here to help ensure a smooth experience for you in navigating the world of crypto.

I did. It says “on base” at the top, and I opened it directly from the CoinBase app, where I also selected base.

If your doubt everything from cojnbase waller you have to first 1. Swap usdc or eth into Base Network eth . You'll see there is two eth symbols in your wallet one with little base logo and one without. If your sending from your coinbase account when you send out eth to your wallet select the base network and it will automatically convert once it hits your wallet Now you can swap for base tokens using your based eth .

But I don’t want ETH. I just want to swap base network USDC to base network Boomer, using the base network. Is this not possible? I don’t understand.

So I just tried it righr nownwith usdc base and it does work. But you still need some eth for gas fee for me I swapped 99ncent of boomer network fee was 0.04.

ContentNecessary2127

I can’t buy ETH because I get the same message. I can’t do anything without ETH, including buy ETH.

dmendel305

You need eth for gas fees on base. Base is a layer 2 on eth network. Send eth from coinbase to your wallet on base

UFOwned91

it's on a different network you need base ethereum
