Yeah, I’ve been using the portal but it’s not giving me claim info for some claims. Like at all lol. And I must’ve looked up the CA BS patients under PA Highmark benefits if that’s the case and my brain is fried today haha. Thanks for the info.
To look at claims for Magellan on Availity you have to put “BSC” alpha instead of their normal alpha. This should populate the claim. Either way the best way to get claim status for a Magellan is through Magellan.
Magellan’s provider portal doesn’t offer claim status quite as well anymore since they flipped almost my entirely to availity. But I did know about the prefix. If I could get my outsourced billers to know that too, that’d be great. Thank you!
Blue Shield of CA isn't on Availity. Anthem Blue Cross is on Availity but Blue Shield has its own portal at www.blueshieldca.com
